Canarian Sun, No time thinking about prices… Sangria sipping.
Enjoy your well deserved holiday my Belgium neighbour. Although, nobody should be worried because whales purchased almost 270,000 coins over the last 30 days the biggest monthly buy-in in 13 years. We are in late distribution and re-accumulation fase in an extended bull market. If we consider that around 162 000 BTC are mined annually at the current reward, this would be a pretty impressive number of BTC purchased. However, if that had no impact on the price, I wonder how many coins were sold at the same time? ETFs flows show around 13 000 BTC outflows in the last 30 days. Apparently, bought/sold coins should not be (and are not) counted, but rather weighed - where, how, when did the trade occur? It goes against intuition, but OTC business is more opaque that it should: the price doesn't move at all, at least not soon. As someone recently said, patience young padawan.

computer RGB lighting? lol thats soooo last year. we need NEW useless features. like AI created subscription based wallpaper-as-a-service for your CPU pump! oh and only 4 cents a pop.
ha ha... I bought Freezer36 for a build this year, lol. Just wanted to see those RGB lights, haha...the price was good too, though. PS. As it says in the article: that's why 32Gb ram is $400, . i do use the the RGB fans on my system for rough temperature indication of CPU and GPU temps.. green normal, yellow high, red very high. bottom fans are GPU and side fans are CPU. I do exactly that on my desktop PC too. It's very useful because I can see from a distance if my video encodings or other CPU/GPU-intensive tasks have completed (red/yellow --> green). I'm using OpenRGB, which unifies all my RGB h/w into one useful tool to control it. I'm totally against turning my PC into a circus with rainbow colors, etc., but the above setup is very neat and serves a useful purpose. That's actually a very good use for RGB hardware. My PCs even have the hdd/power led dimmed, also my external drives, because the light and blinking is horribly distracting and outright annoying (if you were me). There is very rare hardware (and/or drivers) that allows to disable status-LEDs, like my astro-camera. I also don't get why those LEDs have to be sooo fucking bright, i mean there are low-power/low-brightness varieties (earlier generations), why does a freaking 3mm LED even have to almost knock a hole into your retina? Fully agree. I also hate the unevenness of the various case LEDs -- e.g., one is red and barely visible, while the other is blue and retina-piercing intense! It was like this on my previous PC (Cooler Master case), so I took it apart, removed the original LEDs and replaced them with nice, diffused ones, and used series resistors to equalize their intensities. I still use it as a secondary PC, and still admire those LEDs. Sadly, most manufacturers nowadays don't pay much attention to such details. Maybe only in their high-end products. My current PC's case is a be quiet! one, designed in Germany, and all case LEDs (power and RGB strips) are evenly lit and nicely diffused. And there's no HDD LED anymore, for the reason vapourminer mentioned.

Now we are 364, Tomorrow 365
Then should we start all over again? Like the new calender.
Wouldn't it be interesting if every new year, on Jan 1 (midnight), there is a real reset like in the "Edge of tomorrow". However, civilization cannot advance in this situation, but it could be an interesting sci-fi theme. I just finished reading Blake Crouch's "Recursion", which touches on a similar topic and it is much better than his "Dark matter". "Dark matter" is not bad either, as a book, but it was made into a show/serial with B or even C-type actors/actresses. Meh. In comparison, T. Cruise's dynamism certainly added to the "Edge of tomorrow" movie, which I liked a lot.

Hah, speaking of thermaltake, I was making a custom cooling system for some gpus and I decided to use an old thermaltake fan controller from my old 939 overclocking days as the fan is a monster and sensor controlled and it turns out the sensor had burned out. I spent an hour trying to find that damn sensor and they do not provide it anymore! So I can imagine trying to get parts for that nightmare you linked in a few years will be impossible. Luckily I have a ton of sensors from old projects and figured out it required a ntc 10k but if I didn't have a clue about this shit I would have been screwed and it would have been more e-waste for a 5 cent sensor.

I still use it as a secondary PC, and still admire those LEDs. Sadly, most manufacturers nowadays don't pay much attention to such details. Maybe only in their high-end products. Now that's some effort, but it was certainly worth it. I am curious how many products are even actually designed, compared to the mainstream, rebranded Chinaware. Cooler Master isn't exactly high end, i agree My current PC's case is a be quiet! one, designed in Germany, and all case LEDs (power and RGB strips) are evenly lit and nicely diffused. And there's no HDD LED anymore, for the reason vapourminer mentioned.
I liked their coolers a lot. My first customs in the world of "silent PC" (media players and DAW) were (semi-*) passively cooled using Zalman coolers. Then the fans became better, heatpipes got standard and also fans bigger/quieter**. After a cooler-master fail, which was clearly louder than advertised, i stumbled over beQuiet, also bought a couple of their fans for case airflow. After two affairs with Noctua coolers, i stopped building customs, because there were good and "cheap" completes everywhere. No more need for expensive LianLi Boxes. I just waited for a friend to buy a new gaming PC and got his old case/PSU/GPU for little money to add my favorite board/cpu/audio. Two of them were BeQuiet cases, with corsair liquid coolers. No bad word to lose about the cases and cooling, but the noise levels very much depend on the fan controllers on the mainboard, so i also had to look for suitable chipsets on my board candidates to tune the fan speeds to my taste. I still have both of the cases, one is inactive at the moment (no space). Yes, i do have too much boxes standing around, but they all get used frequently. I became a fan of KVM switches in the 90s, which saved much space on my desk(s). * With only one slow-running, big fan floating inside the case. ** "quieter" at the same rate of airflow. Design wise wasn't much difference, with the exception of radial fans (which kind of vanished from the stores later)

My main system has been in an open tech stand I made and have been using for 20 years that slots into my entertainment center and has worked flawlessly.
Hell my PC Power and Cooling Silent PS from back then is still chugging along pushing mutiple GPU's as well.

Typical market cleansing before the 2026 pump to ~$200,000.
Ok…ok. I’ll tell you what I really think… and it’s not good imho! As the US economy goes so goes the world… and the US is in the middle of an invisible civil war! That civil war will become more and more obvious as we enter 2026. The propaganda is getting insane and the raw sewage in the legacy and social media is escalating at a steady pace. As silver goes so does the economy…The price of silver could get out of control VERY easily at this point…big time shortage !!! The big banks have been shorting paper silver for decades so the price of manufacturing stays cheap…this will bite them soooo hard!!! If Silver continues its pace…I believe the stock market could have a major collapse…and we could have hyperinflation. Enter 2008 bank crisis on steroids…and one of the reasons for the creation of Bitcoin! Normally this would be a down year for bitcoin… and controlled into a tight Bollinger band! The tighter the band the more explosive the move… Bitcoin could easily have 10-20k$ moves on a weekly basis and could see 200k$ in 2026 !!! I could go on on all day… but I will spare everyone a text wall…😝 You are coming off as a bit of a doomer and gloomer, yet proclaiming that bitcoin is going to come out o.k., even if various otherwise doomer and gloomer scenarios play out.. and yeah, we already likely realize that banks have been playing without the assets that they claim to have. There are many ways that various aspects of the economy can implode (or is it explode?), and of course, we know that there are likely going to be various efforts to paper over the problem, yet the papering over might not end up working... Of course there exists paper silver and paper gold and paper of a lot of assets and even housing and manufacturing, so bitcoin should be stronger in such conditions in which it can be brought into possession, yet there are a lot of folks who are not taking their bitcoin into possession... so surely there are ongoing attempts to include bitcoin in these various paperizing and crashening events. Contagion means that several kinds of markets implode and cause additional implosions, even while they are being propped up.. and some are allowed to fail in such process. Aliens might land to help in the scare tactics, and of course, there may well be internet outages, too. You are preaching to the choir in regards to our needs to either buy or at least continue to hold bitcoin.. I mean actual bitcoin.... even though many of us go through banks to cash in and cash out of bitcoin, even though there could be good ways to transact directly if we can find ways to spend our bitcoin directly for goods and services and housing. And as OOM seems to suggest, it would not hurt for you to explain a wee bit moar better. Truth be told… I have been known for drunken trolling over the last decade 😝 yet at times I showed some clarity and foresight. Like the time in 2015 when I coined the saying “Gold is heavy and slow… I have digital gold in my wallet and can send it around the world in minutes!” So take my posts with a grain of salt and maybe a golden nugget at times 😎 It is no mystery that Gold and silver are on a tear in 2025… most don’t know that earlier this year unprecedented amounts of Gold have been shipped into United States! We can speculate on why… but rumor has it that in the event of a dollar crash the US might create a gold backed CBDC. Gold and silver have been used as a currency for thousands of years …. and world governments like China have been accumulating it because they saw coming imo. Some trust in paper Bitcoin ETFs and paper Gold n Silver… they will be sadly mistaken because unlike Gold…paper burns and destroyed in the smelting pot … while gold just melts down and lasts forever. No Keys No Coins!!! We are living in a unique time …. one that will be studied for a thousand years or more imo ! Mama said… “They will say alotta tings bout ya Jackie boy but they can neva say yo ain’t quotable!” 😝

Patience young padawan. It does not have to go far, I am just tired of seeing $87k each day. What is difference? $87k? or $95k? or $82k? or some other variation? Furthermore, $87k is better than sub-$80k, no? [edited out]
