Think about how much money they could save the taxpayers  if they reduced military spending by merely 20%. let alone by half.

Maybe then they could remove all the homeless from the streets, improve healthcare, public education, and the like. Honestly, what's happening there reminds me of communism, which I unfortunately grew up in, where they constantly filled our ears with external and internal enemies, half the budget went to the army and secret services while people stood in long lines for bread and a piece of meat and drove cars on an odd/even day basis.

It is obvious that the average US citizen will be happy to have the most powerful army in the world, regardless of the fact that it will mean that his standard of living will be worse.

Having lived in the USA since I was born in 1957 and having served in the USA 🇺🇸 navy for five years I would say Trump/Maga has 30 million total loyalists maybe more.

Then there are the practical people with cash that figure Trump is good for their money. That is at least 5 million more.

This gives Trump/Maga a powerful base to work on.

The USA stopped 50 percent fed tax brackets since Tricky Dick Nixon.

this created a huge base of quasi rich people that vote republican.

And since they are quasi rich they wield some power and influence.

It is a true mess.

Well lets see how bad it gets over the next few years.

I read 1 million returns between 500,000 and 1,000,000 income they would all go from 37% rate to 50%

so 1,000,000x100,000= 100,000,000,000 it only 100 billion in tax which would not fix the wasted money.


cant find how many returns are over 1,000,000

but 55 years x 100 billion is 5.5 trillion not accounting inflation or interest.

so it is likely close to the 5 or 6 trillion number given to people with high incomes.

but I am having trouble finding the 1 million dollar plus returns.

Still the point is this is a 55 year problem in the making.

Think about how much money they could save the taxpayers  if they reduced military spending by merely 20%. let alone by half.

I personally would love for the feeding of US dollars into the military industrial complex to make the gears of the machine grind and do what they want could be stopped.

But saving money for the tax payers... that's predicated on the idea that paying taxes has anything to do with funding the machine rather than just being a way to keep the field hands from rising up too much.

I know that Russia has done years of tundra core samples in siberia and that russia does zip to stop global warming.
I see that the USA is now doing zip to stop global warming.

So long term (2057 when I am a hundred) Greenland will be a lot warmer than it is now.
SO USA dominating the western hemisphere and Russia 🇷🇺 and China 🇨🇳 carving up asia part of Europe seems like where we are going.

Is global warming in the room with us now?

I can appreciate efforts to keep pollution down and even figuring out possible negative effects of environmental contaminants, like plastics and even concerns about various ways that nature is interfered with by cutting down trees and leveling mountains and maybe even questioning various ways that minerals and/or natural resources are extracted - yet so many times, the global warming conversations are distracting and misleading because the evidence seems to be very weak, at best..

And in regards to the topic of this thread and your assertions regarding the way that the world is supposedly going, does bitcoin fit somewhere in your vision, somehow? 

Many guys seem to get sucked into some of these fad of the day visions of the world, and where it is going, yet there are ongoing actions and reactions, and surely we have a lot of current world battles that seem to revolve around how information is controlled - and even questions in regard to how information can continue to be transacted - to the extent that bitcoin is both information and value - in which there are both third party channels and private channels, and likely continued battles in respect to how transactions can be made and the extent that they are controlled and monitored.

So where does that new money come from and what better tool to deliver it to operators?

Serious no bs I am on schedule to add 0.033 btc a month all hodl this year or 0.396 btc

and by Jan 1 2027 I should be over 2 btc

and as I have said silver spikes and copper spikes in price caused by Donald Trumps moves are helping me to do this.

So far Donald Trump has allowed me to reset my mining business and achieve more btc with more cash to run my life.

Now I realize that I may come across as anti BTC but last  year I sold under 0.1btc and added over 0.4btc to the stack which nets at about +0.3btc

I also dissolved my LLC partnership which allows me much more freedom to do what I deem fit.

Denmark has authorized the USA to send troops to the Country of greenland at the USAs will.

The law was passed in the summer of 2025.

So Greenland 🇬🇱 will be loaded with USA troops this year.

This is over and done with.

Do I approve it now no but it has already happened.

Read the law Denmark  🇩🇰 passed.

Allowing troops at will means 1,000 or 10,000 or 100,000 would all be allowed.

That has been analyzed pretty well in the past.
The logistics, infrastructure and energy needed to house and feed all those troops will unlikely possible to establish.
This is a different climate up there. But if Trump wants "his" soldiers to freeze to death, so be it.

I don’t know. I think I agree with phil. Russia has always done a pretty good job of keeping invaders at bay and they have a lot of resources up north. I think China was expecting to dominate Latin America and Trump’s administration seems to want that role to be played by the US. I don’t like this new trend of expanding superpowers and am not sure how I feel about the US joining the race.
