I wonder if that would work very well, in terms of actual practicality...
Sure it is a nice little man-cave as long as there is another place available for actual living...
Also, let's say that the location was on a guy's property, so the guy controls several acres of land.. maybe 5-10 or more, so then there would still be a desire to keep the location obscure enough so that no one stumbles accross it - which is sort of defeated with the existence of the solar panel that is located right on top of the place.
Personally, I think it would be better if there were some kind of a decoy shed (or some other building) located in the area.. perhaps within about 100 meters and then the solar panel would be located at that decoy building location.,..and even a whole grid of solar panels has potential issues - which would potentially necessitate alternative power sources, such as back up generators.
No big deal if there is no need for extended stay in the place of more than a few days.. and as long as there are no hostilities in connection with the main property.. Even in a short-term (such as just a few months) Nostradamus kind of a situation, there may well be difficulties for guys to even rely upon any security systems that he might have agreed to with other guys who might be contracted to provide security.. and if the security guys stay working security rather than going to save their own families or any conflicting interests that they might have..
that is always something I wanted to build since the 1960's when my mom worked for the fed government and brought home a manual on fallout shelters you could build in your back yard.
even now 60 years or so later I still want me a fallout shelter.
Of course, if you do the work yourself, you can really customize it, even though it still may well take money for some of the resources that are used to be of a sufficiently high enough quality to serve long term and durability purposes.
Anyone who saw Breaking Bad (or it was mostly in the Better Call Saul prequel), based on desires for secrecy, extensive measures ended up being taken in order to ensure secrecy.. likely not as BIG of a deal with a smaller location, since the kinds of equipment needed and the kinds of resources would not be as great in order to conceal a bunker as they would likely be in regards to attempting to conceal the existence of a decently large-scale production Breaking Bad-style meth lab.
Absolutely amazing! The only thing I would add is maybe another exit… in the event something lands on the cover…it’s his coffin. 😝
That is a good point, even though surely more than one entrance/exit causes additional vulnerabilities in terms of both discovery and just the logistics of how to accomplish (where to put) a second exit / entrance.
