By the power of Chuba-Duba, I command this mild downward creeping pressure on the price of Bitcoin to cease, and for at least mild to medium uppity to resume!

There, that ought to do it.

Quote
January 18th, Patrick Witt, director of the White House Crypto Council, stated that the process of establishing a strategic Bitcoin reserve in the United States is ongoing, but faces challenges in cross-agency coordination due to some "niche and complex legal provisions." Currently, the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Office of the Legal Counsel (OLC), among other agencies, are discussing relevant legal and regulatory issues, and the matter "remains on the priority list."

What do you think it likely predicts?

if it is simply slower than the recent price drops of the fall it is just catching up.

or if it is a future indicator we are going to go down.

JJG would say mining has nothing to do with price and it is not a future indicator.

I have seen slow diff drops pre lead price drops a few times.  Which does worry me as I grabbed a lot of corn.

in the 90k area.

A drop to some shit hole number like 65-75k would suck

Well, as time moves forward the price should move up although with a moderate zig-zag upward climb - hopefully not like a roller coaster.

I think promising macroeconomic news will be the major force behind a healthy move up. I have faith that the U.S. Banking committee along with all the other agencies will get the legislation sorted out for 'The Clarity Act' that will springboard adoption and BTC's price.  We also have the 'Deploying American Blockchains Act' to promote blockchain technology, with some states already having passed laws to hold Bitcoin on their balance sheets. We have a lot of good stuff happening, and to look forward to getting passed into law...

And you feel a need to defend and promote the idea of using the ETFs to invest in Bitcoin rather than seeing the value of stepping outside the system in Bitcoin.

What do you think it likely predicts?

This is a question of intense debate in the Bitcoin community.  As to whether hash rate and price are correlated at all or not, and if so, chicken or the egg, which one drives the other one, is in one of the moluting indicator?  And so on.

There's more disagreement about this in the greater community than many other philosophical aspects of Bitcoin.

Perhaps the real question we should be asking is… Will the price of bitcoin respond positively or negatively to the disclosure of intelligent alien life?

https://www.thetimes.com/uk/scotland/article/bank-of-england-must-prepare-for-ufo-announcement-f3mh8l9vh

Being able to watch this unfold in our world, understanding probably better than the average dog what's actually happening and being powerless to do anything about it is horrible.

I can only take solace knowing that my death is inevitable.

But I do have children and that makes me sad to know they will have to watch even more of this madness unfold.

It certainly feels like a game/virtual reality and we (or the bulk of us) are acting as npcs.

Scenario#1: they are the spectators and we are the "actors".
Scenario#2: something along the lines of Arrival (2016), not to mix with "The arrival" (1996-Charlie Sheen movie).
