what are you talking about?
you don't see silver up 3+trillion in market cap since jan of 2025 you don't see gold up 15 trillion in market cap since jan of 2025 you don't see platinum and palladium up about 1 trillion combined since jan 2025
Market cap is not very useful and triply so with Bitcoin where it is hard to say exactly how many coins are even available. For example: If we have 1M WO coins worth 1000, that's a market cap of 1B. If you sell me one for 2000, that is a market cap of 2B. That doesn't mean 2B entered the market. Of course, this cuts both ways.

Seriously? Not one person here saw the aurora on any night?
from Spaceweather.com:
"Earth's magnetic field is quiet again following 3 days of intense geomagnetic storms. From Jan. 19th to 21st, storm levels were severe (G4) for 15 hours, and strong (G3) for more than 18 hours; people saw auroras across most of Europe and at least 40 US states. This will go down as one of the biggest events of Solar Cyce 25."

I did not. The important question is does this aurora mean the number will go up or down?

Nope. I’m too far south unfortunately. One day I do hope to see the Northern Lights. I always thought it would be awesome to have a mini observatory in your yard you could control with a computer and see on your TV. Maybe when the cycle tops again in summer of 29.

I did not. The important question is does this aurora mean the number will go up or down? It doesn't happen often enough to create a meaningful correlation but for tracking purposes, this time it meant NGD Then again, if we had one slightly more intense, it could also mean NGD as in Network Go Down

We had fog. While we were near the top of the "grey wall", we could see the background dimly colored in the north, but as we have hills in the line of sight up there, we saw something like a light polluting city in the distance, but red instead of yellowish. This was the third time i missed an aurora because of fog. No, not exactly. One time it was clouds, but the direction was different, more to the east, and the red cast was more intense and defined.

Which soft fork? There is no upcoming soft fork. It doesn't happen often enough to create a meaningful correlation but for tracking purposes, this time it meant NGD Then again, if we had one slightly more intense, it could also mean NGD as in Network Go Down

Which soft fork? There is no upcoming soft fork. They’re always talking about soft forks it seems for one reason or another. Wake me up when there’s serious discussion around a hard fork. Free coinz or nothing! I’m actually surprised we don’t see more hard forks considering the amount of new cryptos launched. I guess people don’t want to take on the project unless they get all the rewards.

About gold, it's taxed to death when selling it here, worse than bitcoin in fact.

No, I don't know how much he holds, but I can guarantee you I have nothing near what he holds. Not even on the same planet. Lol. On the other hand, I think he sold a substantial portion of his Bitcoin relatively recently, and I haven't done that. So, sir, your testimony is that you are not the same peeps? The last two years are a bit bizarre in bitcoinland. What should have been bullish was bearish, etc, etc.
I am also at a loss trying to explain to myself the rise of metals as you cannot buy anything with a chunk of metal and exchanging it is not price-efficient (try to sell a piece of gold at the gold dealer).
It is almost like civilization has lost it's wits and became, effectively, a blubbering moron. That said, I am not sure what to do about it...maybe just get a place with a good view, grow fruits and vegetables, swim and take long hikes.
TL;DR With civilization apparently in a nose dive, how one may cope?
Since you are framing the current state-of-affairs as a civilization nose-dive, then maybe a low key security guard might be good too, even though sometimes including someone else might contribute towards additional headaches. interesting that nobody is talking about the seemingly upcoming softfork
Is there something about it that needs to be talked about, besides pointing out that it is not being talked about?

Caroline Ellison has been released from federal prison and is looking rather healthy. It seems prison was good to her. I wonder what is next now that the FTX saga is in the rearview. She already seems to be working to change her image…
