Not sure how bad power is in Texas , but the drop-off gets worse. https://newhedge.io/bitcoin/difficulty-estimatorLatest Block: 934100 (12 minutes ago) Current Pace: 81.8515% (693 / 846.65 expected, 153.65 behind)Previous Difficulty: 146472570619930.8 Current Difficulty: 141668107417558.2 Next Difficulty: between 115983078642039 and 125806178715671 Next Difficulty Change: between -18.1304% and -11.1965% Previous Retarget: last Thursday at 2:29 PM (-3.2801%) Next Retarget (earliest): February 7, 2026 at 8:54 AM (in 9d 21h 18m 21s) Next Retarget (latest): February 8, 2026 at 4:59 PM (in 11d 5h 23m 24s) Projected Epoch Length: between 15d 18h 24m 54s and 17d 2h 29m 57s Can't seem to find solid info on Texas power shutdowns but an awful lot of gear is offline right now. This appears to be the best info I can find. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/massive-us-storm-forces-bitcoin-093331559.htmlSo I can't report anything directly tangible to what you're wondering, but I can give you some expert witness testimony. I think the power grid in Texas is doing pretty damn good. The state has had some temperatures around 10f/-12c. These are outlier temperatures for the Texas area. All of the bitcoin mines that have been built since Texas had their icepocalypse some years back have been a real game changer for the states grid. But I believe the mines are required to shut down at Ercot's demand, and they do. That's part of their deal. So I would think most of the Texas mines are down so that the grid has plenty of excess energy for the excess needs. I also believe Texas does hold a fairly large amount of hash rate in the world so I don't know what the percentage means across the board but I would expect Texas to be out of the game for a minute although I would also expect to be back in the game here pretty soon. I think there are more extremely cold nights coming, but this type of thing doesn't happen in Texas for very long. If the forecast is correct we will pick up on Fri.

I shall be posting from The Maldives next week, thanks Bitcoin.
Have a good time on the beautiful beaches, LFC_Bitcoin! Was in the Maldives last year. You will absolutely love the bounty paradise destination.
My advice is to pay attention preventing getting sunburned.
Sunpower is exceptionally strong due to its location on the equator.
Use a lot of sunscreen and wear a t-shirt during snokeling otherwise your back will turn into red lobster that will screw your holiday enjoyment.
What season would you recommend going to Maldives? For best weather is between December and April, when it’s dry, calm water, sunny and warm but it will cost you more money. Rainy season is from May to November. More showers of rain, still warm and sunny. Underwater visibiliy is not that great for divers. If you are on a budged September and October are the wettest months.

This site is interesting, it has a lot of information. > Looking at this chart there, you can see that they are only accumulating more BTC, and there is a lot of visualization options....

Wohoo, why did I wait so long to get studded tires!!! They are way better than just snow tires!!! I only managed to slide the rear out in one corner that I really pegged it and it recovered immediately! I would have been in a snow bank before. BTW: A new class-action lawsuit accuses Meta Platforms of misleading billions of WhatsApp users by claiming their messages are protected by unbreakable end-to-end encryption.
Filed in the San Francisco federal court, the suit alleges the company secretly stores, analyzes, and grants employee access to chat contents via internal tools.
Plaintiffs from Australia, Brazil, India, Mexico, and South Africa represent over 2 billion WhatsApp users across 180 countries, seeking unspecified damages for privacy fraud. https://cybersecuritynews.com/whatsapp-lawsuit/
