So far the bottom has been called by me at 66.6k. let us see If I am the mad genius so stupidly lucky one this time.

Although I think that this is the bottom if OgNasty is to be proven wrong.

But unfortunately OgNasty may not be wrong which means more pain and under 60k

Man it drops so fast I can't decide when I should consider buying a chunk.

Aside from my small DCA the last time I bought a significant amount 0.X BTC) was below 50K$.

well take the number you want to spend.

Say $10,000

buy 2,500 at today's price.

buy 2,500 at 61234

buy 2,500 at 56543

buy 2,500 at 51234

variations on above are okay

say 10,000

2000 today
2000 60,600
2000 57,800
2000 52,123
2000 48,484

but grab some today and leave some cash for lower.

I am mining and stacking that.

I am buying some dip today.

I set buys at kraken down to  56,565.60

Good example of market psychology.

We're at a point where OGs start to buy back what they sold above $100k.
Next step: more confident newbies start to think it might be a good idea to get cheap coin and the panic will stop.

Every single person has a number in mind when bitcoin is cheap enough and the lower it gets the more of these people will do something about it.

In my mind everything below $90k was already too cheap to sell. I'd rather wait 2 more years and sell above $100k than do it at $80k, but for people who bought at $100k and bitcoin is just a number on a spreadsheet, that feels completely different.

I'm wondering how many members here are actively buying to add more to their stash with almost a 50% retraction (collapse) from its ATH.

Now...pretty much all support has broken down and nobody knows what would happen.
Two cents: this is caused by the WS greed directed toward the new asset class. They want in, but don't want to pay up.

They did the same with the internet stocks: first retail drove internet stocks high in 1997-2000 with only a small participation from WS.
Then, WS crushed Internet in 2001-2002, then they accumulated Internet stocks for pennies from 2003-2004, then a new "era" began with Google IPO.

They won't.
Do you realistically think that the guy who sold 9bil at 110K would buy back?
I don't think so.

Liquidity of almost a whopping $30 billion to the upside is gigantic, feels like a massive short squeeze of biblical proportions.

He was in Bitcoin this whole time and now suddenly he loses his faith in BTC and wants to go back to fiat? Does not sound plausible, to be honest.

I would totally use the $ 9 billion USD to buy Bitcoin at the bottom after all the shaky hands have been shaked out of their coins.

Now...pretty much all support has broken down and nobody knows what would happen.

The next major support level is around $54K.  We will likely visit it before this is all over.  What isn't obvious is if we stop there and reverse or if we fall to the next support level, which is just below $30K.  Personally, I think the bottom will be somewhere between those 2 numbers (hopefully closer to the top), but there is hope for a relief rally at the 200 week moving average, currently around $58K.  Today isn't the bottom.  Neither is tomorrow.  I'm guessing we will find it somewhere between this September and next March after a few sideways months around $50K before a final shakeout.

I am however not waiting to try and time the bottom.  I have already started monthly DCA buys and plan to continue them for the next 2 years before holding and then selling again in the spring of 29.
