Self-Custody is a right. Say no to "non-custodial"

Morning gentlemen.

Saylor doing some serious buying.
STRC is starting to do some heavy lifting as well. Been buying the daily mined coins and then some. 5300 BTC purchased last week. Estimated 1300~ yesterday.
https://strc.live/
His money, his business, but with so many dips lately, he buys when the price reaches $70k Roll Eyes Considering the amount of coins, he could have saved a lot of money if he had a little better timing.
Easy to say that he should buy at lower prices. But comparing spotprice to OTC and large volume is not fair.
He does not care about price and short-term price actions. Saylor is in the business of not selling.
If he wants, he can pay 20% more than the current price on the market, but if he had a little better timing, he could buy more BTC for the same money than he is buying. Saving 5% or 10% on amounts of $1 billion and up is not something that should be thrown away lightly, but when you have money like that, obviously $50 million or $100 million doesn't mean much.

There are all kinds of folks questioning Saylor/MSTR and their average cost per BTC, yet they seem to be playing a wee bit different game in terms of trying to use other people's money as it comes available, and perhaps engaging in a form of signaling... Furthermore other people's money largely comes available as the BTC price is going up... yet sure, at the same time, I will concede that even I see that there seems to be a lot of evidence in place that supports claims that they are purposefully engaging in forms of equity (and good will) dilution that shows a certain degree of desperateness and/or degeneracy rather than actions built upon rationality.

We will see whether there seeming degeneracy and their ongoing insensitivity to price is going to end up playing out well for them.  A lot of folks would like to see the market punish Saylor/MSTR for its behaviors, yet it remains hard to really see that the level of their degeneracy has gone far enough for the market to even be capable of punishing them in any kind of meaningful way.

[edited out]
Saylor likely has trillions to spend from backers we know nothing about.

Sure.  That is another question regarding the extent to which Saylor is who he claims to be and/or if there might be some deep state backings.

I am not going to claim to know anything, even though I agree that sometimes we have to consider scenarios that are other than those that appear on the surface.

But buddy has moved past 69 and is in the 70s which is what I hope to be doing next January.

Come on Phil.  Cheer up.

Yeah.. I know.  None of us is immortal.. at least the "real" non-bots in these here parts.

Wow, i have yet not seen such utter BS as this, so far:

Trigger warning:
+ BTC Conspiracy theories of the wildest sorts
+ XRP shills
+Lots of hearsay arguments and hype "reasoning"
But i found it really funny  Cheesy

That has got to be a parody, since it quickly touches upon a lot of the various outrageous talking point and takes the talking points to a bit of an extreme in a very dumb kind of way.

In other words, those guys are likely actors.

This is the dude that got interviewed:

The interviewer is a conspiracy theory supporter.
The mod is a bitcoiner

The mod is about the only one who tries to be funny (and succeeds, imo) but the inherent humor lies in the statements and beliefs of the professor.

Thought it was the worst coffee I ever had.

They used premium bean but a French roasting technique which absolutely ruins coffee imo.  Putting the word French in front of something doesn't automatically make it better but I think that was a marketing ploy.  Probably just the mistakes when coffee roasters leave the bean cooking too long and to cover up that fact, they gave it a "fancy" name so they can still sell it.  You ever leave a grilled cheese in the pan a little too long before you flip it and when you finally do it's going black?  You try to scrape the black off but Sacrebleu! you can still taste the burnt... You've made yourself a French-grilled cheese.  Do that with coffee and you might as well brew up some charcoal and throw in a shot of chicory.

Did you see it, yet?
Mod is not the correct term, he's a commenter. But it's his channel, seems to be a funny dude with a favor for big headlines.

To be honest, I really don't click on anything bitcoin related these days, except this here famous thread.
For reasons.

The art of a proper grilled cheese sandwich is simple really.
Golden brown and one has nailed it.
But let it go thirty odd seconds beyond that, it's blackened.
Now blackened might work with certain recipes, but a grilled cheese sandwich? Absolutely not.
Throw it in the trash and start again.

The timing of their purchases is far from optimal; they haven't bought any during the lowest dips and seem to be buying more when there's a positive sentiment in the market. But then again:

Plan B ideation about 500K (more precisely 250K-1mil) bitcoin average in 2024-2028 reads like a cruel joke rn.
Is it possible? Sure, it is possible, but is it likely? Not really.

Bitcoin would have to average about 390K the rest of the cycle to get to the lower number (250K average over the cycle).
I guess it means that scarcity is not the only variable that has to be considered, as many people noted.
Personally, I consider planB hypothesis as being falsified already (based on the last cycle numbers), albeit he is still clinging to it.

derivatives and rehypothecation are really doing their thing

This is exactly what i was saying way back then that everyone just wanted to stick their heads in the sand about.

True that...albeit gold has managed a big pop even with derivatives and such.
Maybe we are a bit of a smaller kid on the block yet and WS is kicking us mercilessly.

Yep always tasted burnt.

It was like you used an old school perculator forgot to shut it off and boiled away 2/3 of the pot then tossed some water back into it.

And that was just a bit better than savarin. 😃

Back in the day it was 99 cents a can and my supermarket would double my 75 cent coupons so I could make 51 cents a can on it.

I would buy it and donate it to the food bank. Along with some decent pasta and tomato sauce

What cheese

Or cheese

I LIKE goat mozzarella 1 slice of tomato and then some parm

But frankly there are at least a 12 cheeses that work.
