I agree. It's the eyes, and also the width of the mouth. Look at the same girl (Australian actress Caitlin Stasey), but genuinely smiling. I'll put her photo side by side with the evil one.

It's amazing how the brain processes information, and how subtle differences can invoke totally different feelings.

Fun fact: Both of those smiles look about en par to me (emotionally), with the exception of the right one, where the corners of the mouth are really pulled backwards, which contributes to the evilness. The eyes are almost the same, or is it just me?
Real smiles have more "upward" corners, and yes, of course not "pulled back" so obviously hard.
On the left pic she's showing off an actor's smile, imo. Not quite natural, but (too?) perfect.

The black phone was so disturbing I stopped about half the way . Every once in a while they do make a truly disturbing movie.

Yeah, those movies make my nerve endings tingle a bit. But i'm not only into horror movies at all. Most of them are actually boring and foreseeable.

Agreed, never like horror movies (Shining being a exception), I find the characters to always be so stupid I root for them to get killed.

That was actually a really good year for new movies... Top Gun, Stand by Me, Aliens and Ferris Bueller's Day Off were also released that same summer. 
I had a co-op job in the fall/winter of '86 and there were three other students there at the same time.  We used to go out together once a week for an outing and one of my fondest memories was going to see Golden Child (Eddie Murphy), with them, which was also released near Christmas that year.  Anyway... enough of my reminiscing.  Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Both good flicks, going to watch 13th floor again i forgot most of it.

I find it very fascinating that the human brain is OK when seeing an all-metal robot like Terminator, but reacts with intense fear when seeing that girl's face...

Wait, some guys are scared of girls? Where is the liberal arts major who ran that study? My only fear would be lack of a condom.  

I’d even be willing to bet that girl is more attractive than a majority of the wives/girlfriends of people on this site.

I’m pretty sure from what I saw with a quick skim that video is just of the original movie In Time. There isn’t a sequel. Anybody who wants to watch it for free though, there you go.

I always goto utub for trailers and saw that and yup its the same, well looks like its 13th floor right now.

Tremers was ok but not something I'd rewatch, not sure why its turned into a cult classic.

I like that idea too - not only because we get to see what's there, but also because we get to see all those helicopters and trains that people obviously love so much

As for movies, maybe it's just me, but they used to make movies that you wanted to watch again, today 99% of the movies you watch you never want to see again. For some reason, I watch a lot more series and every now and then a really good one comes along.

Some pretty good series that are worth giving a chance : Under Salt Marsh, The Madison, Detective Hole, Radioactive Emergency.

Okay, okay, okay, okay. I still recommend Brazil, but I have two more I want to throw out very different from each other, both of them fabulous.  One of them even weirder than Brazil.  And maybe, maybe a little more unknown.






(and actually, you might save fire of love for a time with the geeky, significant other in your life if you were blessed with one of those.. It's a sort of science romance movie.)

Shining is one of THE classics of psychological horror, with the perfect main actor.

I need a good movie I haven't seen, taking a day of rest, Recommendations ?

If you prefer the funnier side, try "Good Fortune".
It's a recent movie, they tend to be more like fast food, while the older classics are more like a full meal.

EDIT: If you haven't seen it already "Tenet" is a cool, intelligent action thriller i'd recommend.

Security beefed up in Capital city of Pakistan ahead of Iran-US talks. For the first time I am not disturbed because of traffic jam due to security measures. The world awaits for good news to come out from Islamabad, Pakistan. Hopefully we will hear some good news in a day or two.
