As of 4/19/2026, we hodl 815,061 $BTC acquired for ~$61.56 billion at ~$75,527 per bitcoin. $MSTR $STRC https://x.com/saylor/status/2046197791228068167He's going for a million coins. Good for him. Ge gets it. I think he will surpass 1M BTC before the next ATH. I suspect he may help its coming.

Oh, I have some good thoughts about Bitcoin today. Could be I just took a little bit too much of my CBD tincture.
I have been working through the logic and future probabilities in the wake of the financialization of Bitcoin as it harmonizes with the world system rather than replaces it (currently).
There is also the emergence of another black swan that potentially can be as important as Bitcoin, but even if it were to fail entirely and not deliver on most of its vaulted promises its failure will even cause significant disruption. AI is obviously something else that just a few years ago, we didn't see as a major player.
To the financialization situation... (Well, honestly, applies to AI too, but let's talk about the banking system first) The bottom line is will Bitcoin remain anti-fragile and will its game theory hold up under the onslaught of interest by the players that currently hold all the power and are incentivized to steer Bitcoin in their direction?
This is an almost endless rabbit hole in itself. But I believe in the final analysis it will. But that doesn't mean there won't be periods of time or areas of the world where big bad things could happen. The US could steal it from the ETFs and Coinbase and from its citizens in a 6102 style order. But does Bitcoin care about that? No. The idea that Bitcoin was going to save us is a bit childish. And we have had that error creep into our minds quite a bit. "Bitcoin fixes this!" In the end, the countries that allow freedom for their citizens will benefit. And Bitcoin will just chug along.
Then there's the meteor strike situations. Perhaps the ETF banks will begin to push the idea of issuing more coins... Or quantum shows up early, perhaps, thanks to AI, and we have to halt the chain, swap out the algorithms, and start it back up. Or, as is very likely to happen, there is a giant split in the community over how to solve the ptpk/ quantum problem, and we see a contentious fork... again.
Beautifully, we've already lived through one of these. And the arguments STILL go on as to who was right and who was wrong and who was more right... And there is only one person who isn't Satoshi, though. Wright?
And this could be devastating, and the whole world would talk about it. And the fork would get picked, and the value would drop. And the repercussions could last for years.
And Bitcoin does not give a single fuck. Tik-tok-yadda-yadda.
Bitcoin can't solve the problem of mankind and its devious ways of cheating and killing and destroying. I have other thoughts around that, but not apropos to our forum.
But it can keep just being math, math that crazy humans, all of us good and bad, use and share and work with.
Working out how AI might solve problems and cause problems and fuck up giant swaths of our society is extremely difficult. The future possibilities there are hard to catalog, really. But it boils down to the same thing. What can it do? Right now, what's happening is it's taking away fair weather miners. Miners with racks and electricity who realize they may be able to make more money with Nvidia chips.
So, we've lived through this too. (insert short video of Trump saying "Jina") And every death spiral has been overrated so far.
And the rest it's just the fork thing again. AI breaks something, AI tries to change Bitcoin. Or, people use AI for the above. Etc... I don't see it stopping Bitcoin. I see it causing trouble possibly, but... It has to run under math and logic too.
Really, the only thing that's changed are the stakes. But there have always been a lot of smart people trying to figure out how to ruin Bitcoin from the very beginning. 😁
They haven't been able to do it.
And I don't think we ever will.

One of the smaller ones hit me behind my ear (i was wearing a snapback when jumping out to save my wife's car from getting a golfball-like look), that hurt a bit. Really, the only thing that's changed are the stakes. But there have always been a lot of smart people trying to figure out how to ruin Bitcoin from the very beginning. 😁
The thing is, whenever mankind discovered or invented really revolutional things, like gunpowder, crude oil, nuclear fission, antibiotics, plastics (...), mankind was using those inventions against itself. I fear this will hold true for fiat money, bitcoin and AI, too. The greatest talent we were gifted with seems to be self destruction.

Yes, I think what I just typed is the most optimistic doomerism I've ever felt. Because every innovation ends up being used for and against humanity somehow or another. But if there was ever a chance that something could be designed to do the least amount of harm possible... Yeah... I still think, even if it can't solve everything, it's going to make the world at least incrementally better. Hooray! 😁🫎

Yeah...on one point...6102 or something similar in effect is likely if and when bitcoin would become a true foundation of commerce & the store of value. The prime candidate would be MSTR, of course...it could be commandeered under the "eminent domain" statute, without any "special" decrees. Of course, "just compensation" would be based on the price of the prior day, NOT a 30-50% higher price of the next one. EDIT: MSTR at 5%-is probably OK, but MSTR at 10% is just "asking" for it.

Are we really that much of good faithed martyrs? (pic of almost 18mm thick hail stone)
slightly bigger and it would be truly dangerous. Yeah, we had the bigger ones a few years ago in summer. And the golfball car as well We weren't home at the time, but the remaining hailstone we found were up to the size of a tad under 30mm, when i wouldn't have left the house without a very sturdy umbrella (an actual hailstorm lifehack).

I would think there are thousands of torture devices invented to use on one another. Quite amazing when you think about it.
