@JJG:
Nor did i know such details about your hand(s) and fingers, neither did i want to (/irony)
In my case, and i still wonder if it's different for you (your hand(s)), but if i hold my hand horizontally, with relaxed fingers "stacked upon" vertically, i can quite easily bend down my middle finger if i push downwards with the other index finger (or thumb) on its tip. When i use the pinky finger to support the ring finger, it's much harder to bend (or tilt) down the ringy by actively trying to push it down. The pains in the right pinky when trying this stops me from actively supporting the ring finger at a much lower pressure, but it was much worse two days before.
Verdict: I should have better put the chopsticks in my left hand. But i don't want to know (or try) if this would have resulted in less mess on the floor (and pants)  Cheesy

It can be quite challenging to learn something new, such as learning how to do something with the left hands that we had gotten accustomed to doing on the right hand - even though it is merely muscle memory, so sometimes we might be able to learn various kinds of new things.

I remember when I used to teach a certain kind of activity (that involved coordination) I used to proclaim that the main two qualifications needed to learn was willingness to learn and energy to do it... and so that coordination was not required in advance and the activity could be learned.  The older I get, the more I realize how I had taken energy for granted, since there can be various things that interfere with the energy that we considered that we would be able to generate through willpower.. and the energy becomes more and more difficult to generate.. sad as it may be in the aging process.. not intending to be too much of a party poop.

I have good news for you: The planet will survive the humans. Ultimately and eternally.

This is good news for all of us but I fear that planet will lose its beauty, if humans continue to exist on this planet. Humans are not much interested in preserving the natural beauty of this planet.

~snip

We only perceive this "beauty" because our brains are hard-wired to survive as a species and beauty is just a shortcut our brain uses to trick us.  As I recall from my school days, this planet was once a hellish spinning mass of lava (okay only hellish to us because we can't survive in it) - Earth will know what to do once we're gone.  She will create entirely new forms of beauty that our brains wouldn't even recognize as such.  The earth is much, much more resilient than we are destructive...  the species-level ego on us it just asinine.  We think we're going to leave a permanent scar and yet we're just going to be a thin layer of fossilized chicken and rib bones interspersed with plastic bags, drinking bottles and a thin chemical scum in compressed landfill sites.  Oh and maybe a few radioactive dust bunnies that were once great nuclear generating stations.   That being said, it will all likely be subducted back into the mantle and be recycled - earth will literally swallow us up and shit us out.  We're not the stewards, we're just a weird chemical reaction that will likely fizzle out shortly in the grand scheme of things.  We need to get over ourselves and get back to cheering on Bitcoin!!

Trust the science and Enjoy the ride.

edit:  The brain "trick" is to perceive those things that sustain and promote human life as "beautiful" and attractive to us.  I don't know if I made that clear enough.

I have to disagree, albeit you wrote very eloquently.

1. Currently, there is zero evidence for intelligence happening anywhere else. I know, it is probably because we don't have enough evidence, but it is the current state of affairs, so we shouldn't deny it.
2. It is easily to project that sometime in the future intelligence (organic or silicon-based) would be able to terraform worlds.
3. We are already doing something unique. One physicist had noted that 1oK was the lowest temperature observed naturally in the universe (yes, it is lower that 2.7K usually observed in space-cosmic background radiation), but in lab settings scientists got very close to 0oK (38 picokelvin), which makes that achievement "special" as it does not occur in nature (although it is possible, of course)-superfluidity, superconductivity, Bose-Einstein condensate, etc.
4. Earth would be obliterated as far as biota is concerned in about 1 bil years and as a planet, in 4 bil or so, so it is not 'forever". Therefore, humanity (or its descendants) should eventually work on this 'problem' if it would continue its existence in that future.

Well I disagree with number 1 as I think number 1 depends on your standard of evidence.

I know people can draw or paint realistic images of life from memory. = fact
I KNOW that a 1350 painting on a church's wall in Europe shows from left to right

1 spaceship 2 Jesus getting crucified 3 spaceship running from spaceship 1.

So it is 1350  a.d. painting

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFFxgVC31qs&t=541s

Seems to me this is an indication of much higher science then people think there was in 1350.

There are a few odd ball things like this here and there.

Well, to me that is really a depiction of a Moon and Jupiter as is alluded to by the presenter (not much detail), but I like the St. Wolfgang story with a face and an ass-face... pretty wicked.
As far as some indirect evidence of a Star war-like confrontation, this is even better:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1561_celestial_phenomenon_over_Nuremberg

Who knows, maybe the result of the "Battle at the Earth" was that we were left alone for a few centuries, perhaps.

In continuation...In my late fifties i run into a couple of door frames (it freaking hurt) and also fell off a stairs while doing too big of a step/leap.
The body learned slowly that it is not the same as 10 years prior.
Oh, well, we all adapt to whatever we have at the moment.

So shift cash to set the wife up with 2.0 btc basically my entire stash.
On a trezor in a bank vault. No spur of the moment mindrust for me.

This leaves me almost zero BTC in my possession.

The mine earns 0.0011 btc a day or about 0.033 btc a month.

I will sell some of this each month. And stack some of it. It stops the pressure of not selling the mined btc. The 2400 usd monthly  bill

was starting to hurt a bit.

Last 16 months I added 30k in gear to the mine.
I stacked up to 2 coins from around 0.75 so 1.25 btc added.
I spent about 30k in power.

I have no debt and some cash.

Also paid 13100 for a furnace and ac

I realized I need to free up cash flow which I did . I ALSO no longer feel the pressure to get to 2 coins.

I was not taking advantage of coins being under 80k.

Am I too into btc maybe , but here's hoping this plan is more relaxing as it

A] got me to 2 btc

B] allows for cashing some mining coins as them come in.

C] I mined for a long time with out cashing any btc.

Now watch we will tank to 38k.

Oh, well, we all adapt to whatever we have at the moment.

Probably for the past 20-ish years, almost always I have been putting one hand on the rail when going up or down stairs, and it is like on purpose to be overly cautious when it comes to stairs.

Yet, don't get me wrong.  I have done some pretty stupid (risky) things, and for sure, the older I get, the more nervous I get about having to recover from some kind of an unnecessary slip up that I might have had made in circumstances of taking too many chances with something physical.

The body does not recover as well, but also even though I am pretty sure that I am way smarter than quite a few younger people in my surroundings, I do also witness situations (especially in recent years) that some of the younger folks are just way faster at resolving problems, whether math or some other puzzles, even though sometimes I will still catch those young wipper-snappers getting some of the answers wrong because they rushed too much through the problem out of a kind of impatience.

So shift cash to set the wife up with 2.0 btc basically my entire stash.
On a trezor in a bank vault. No spur of the moment mindrust for me.

This leaves me almost zero BTC in my possession.

One thing.  Are you expecting to kick the bucket prior to her, and then if you don't kick the bucket in any kind of a "soon-ish" fashion, you cannot just leave 2 bitcoin without some plan B or even the sharing of the fruits of the accumulation.. Would your wife agree to that kinds of an outcome in which you are still living but the supposed 2 bitcoin are just sitting around collecting dust? (if it were to be possible for a bitcoin to collect dust?)

Second thing: Hopefully, you have not forgotten (or failed to adequately allocate) in regards to your bitcoin payout plan in the event that you reach 105 years old.  I have (or alternatively Fillippone) an interest in this possible outcome.

I ALSO no longer feel the pressure to get to 2 coins.

In sum:  Surely, you are all over the place - like trying to follow a ping pong ball - or a hockey puck (for my Canadian compadres, who actually might be hockey puck following experts?).

True, energy is soundless machinery we do not inspect until it begins to falter and jolt. But there is more to it. While our willpower might be impeded by physical wear and tear of ageing body, we are generally better at targetting our precision and so use less energy in achieving our goals. We may be slower at left hand or new dance moves, but we know what to punch. Nope, just natural evolution from hft our energy to more strategic HODL of our residual energy.
