I think I saw every bond movie for the last 60 years. I could watch an Indian descended bond or even a black bond but not a lady bond.

but there are tons of Black and Indian brits. and i do not think bond was ever written as a white guy.
A Bond is a Bond. You can change the actor, but you can't change the DNA of the character.
If we can survive Bitcoin's volatility, I think we can survive an Indian or Black Bond. But a Lady Bond? That’s where the community consensus fails.

I get the idea that Bond is a white guy as he was in the movies so far. But I not sure he was written as a white guy in the books.

Jamie Foxx is a really good actor I would not want him to play me.
Bond may have not been racially described in Fleming's books.
If he was then bond should stay as described.
But to me Idris Elba could do a good job playing Bond.
I won't go to see the Odyessy in Late July as I feel it is attacking something it should not by playing Lupita as Helen .
BTW Lupita was good in the Black Panther movies.
At duderino I looked up Ian Fleming and you are correct. he specifically described bond as white in fact he said he looks like a singer named Hoagy Carmichael
but agents do die and a race switch could be done. Soldiers die and a black can replace a white.
Helen of troy was a unique person and was a white blonde as described in the books.
Joesphine Baker was a black women and hella interesting person. You would get Halle Berry to play her not Charlize Theron.
Because she was unique and not substitutable.
But I guess it's a fine point about Bond as 007
since the character Bond is the story not the agent number 007.

So yeah Edris would make a great 007
and Edris as Bond would be an insult to white Scotsman
