The Saylor glazing on this thread is out of control. It’s like some weird form of Stockholm Syndrome.

Let me ask this question. Saylor can sell shares for cash after saying it is trash and that’s fine. Saylor can sell bonds taking on insanely high interest debt to buy BTC and that’s fine. Saylor can then sell Bitcoin to raise funds to pay the high interest debt and that’s fine.

What could Saylor possibly do that would make you lose faith in your idol?

Fuck Saylor I don't have any faith in him at all.

Neither do I - he is not doing anything good for Bitcoin, but for himself, his company and shareholders. For all those who don't care who and how much they buy, it doesn't matter at all as long as they think it will have a positive effect on the price. As for me, he can sell all his coins today and start investing in the dust on Mars.

But logically if he wants his company and shear holders to grow, it's the same as wanting Bitcoin to grow as well, because his company is basically dependant Bitcoin,

If Bitcoin crashes is the same for his company too, even if he is selfish, I think he also wants growth too. So looks like a win win for Bitcoin

He is potential attack vector on btc. 1 person holding 4% of all the btc is dangerous.

I know it is more than 4%

But I thought you said 1 million coins in a weak key is not an attack vector?

You really can't have it both ways now can you?

It is dangerous yes, but not to Bitcoin itself.
The influence can affect emotional investors and make them sell their coins, I agree that that is selfish, and that might make some investors to make mistakes as a result of Strategy which is very sad,

But to Bitcoin its self, there is no threat of more coins, centralisation, or growth stop (which are the core purpose of Bitcoin), he still needs his his company to grow (he still needs Bitcoin to grow as well).

Sadly at this point there is literally nothing we can do about this, regarding the influence of volatility in the market, that is why I advise people to avoid trading Bitcoin because considering things like this will tell you how risky it has become, and also emotional investors has to work on their selves too,
I'm not a supporter of what he is doing, but the market will grow anyways that is my main consern,
so long term goal is the best approach

Seems Trump may be close to a deal with Iran . I know we hear his self confessed victories all the time that don’t end up being fact but this seems different. Lots of reputable sources reporting it.

Let’s hope it’s true and it pumps our bags.

If the network can’t survive a single massive holder dumping or acting up, then it was never anti-fragile to begin with.

Every forced test just proves its resilience.

17 years of battle-testing proves that Bitcoin absorbs every attack vector and converts it into pure consensus strength.

I'm wondering if oil price shock later down the line will effect price of bitcoin, or if everything else will see price changes and bitcoin will be fine.  I feel like the last time I remember gas being this expensive in my area was around the time bitcoin was created during 2007-2010. I don't particularly remember if this type of oil price shock has happened within bitcoin's lifetime? Too bad I was more worried about Roblox at the time, than stacking bitcoin. Guess it made sense, Roblox wasn't a cesspool back in those days, way more entertaining than bitcoin.

It takes gasoline to bring most commodities place to place, like corn for example. Good thing our corn doesn't use gas, only tx fees. Then again, our corn miners use gasoline indirectly because electricity is still widely generated by natural gas. Ethereum could suffer too, they use gas fees, so who knows? This seemingly endless cycle of negotiating, and breaking of negotiating, every two or so weeks is a headache though. Made some insiders and people who can recognize patterns a bit wealthier, I guess.

buddy blocking service
just in case

In a later revision of BobC, I'm gunna try to have him do buddy-blocker posts, but still wrestling with getting the new cycle posting "just right".

Think I finally had a "breakthrough" yesterday and hitting my stride with the bot; it's been at least a decade since I've done technical tinkering at this level, and it's really fun learning new technologies like this.

Still can't get vLLM compiling properly on the DGX Spark (ASUS GX10) which I understand will improve things by about 40% for speed (I try to avoid running docker instances if I can, but it worked really well for SearNGX and Firecrawl, so will likely just try a GB 10 supporting docker instance of vLLM later this week). Ollama is mostly OK, but it has it's quirks.

Also learned that the DGX Spark is great at running stable diffusion, and recognize I could get BobC generating images at some point if I wanted to, but lower priority right now.

Happy Memorial Day, Amerifrens.

EDIT: Running this locally now and seems to be doing well.
