duh, that was my reply, do i need to go and highlight my inputs? I thought it was pretty apparent.

I always mistype shit and llms are great at not being bothered by it so i don't even bother proofreading with them.

50 years typing and I still can't type.

Thanks for clearing this up. I think i would have been able to follow the conversation on a monitor, instead of the smartphone screen, where i had to zoom in (farsightedness).
At this point it looked like a caption to me.
Sure, highlighting inputs would have helped, but in this case it might have well been a "just me" type of mistake  Wink

BobClawblaw Pipeline Changelog  --  Last 24 Hours (v1.3.0  --  v1.3.9)

Claude Opus 4.8 just rated our latest test run at 9.6/10  --  the highest score we have yet received. Here is everything that changed to get us there.

## v1.3.9  --  The Big One

### New Dedup Logic
Event-signature dedup catches the same breaking event covered by multiple outlets with different titles. Signature = shared geopolitical/macro driver (Iran, Israel, Hormuz, tariff, Fed, CPI, etc.) + same price direction (up/down). Prevents duplicate coverage of geopolitical selloffs, etc.

### Stricter FNG Fix
No more guessing from bare "at NN" patterns that matched unrelated numbers (e.g. "long-to-short ratios holding at 1" grabbed 1 from "1.58"). Now only validates when "Fear & Greed" is explicitly named. Replaces outdated values inline instead of injecting editorial notes like "(Reported value appears outdated; current reading is X)". Also added decimal guard  --  won't touch numbers that are part of decimals (e.g. "1.58"). LLM prompt updated to not insert parenthetical corrections about data.

### LLM Stutter Fix
Dedupe_adjacent_words() collapses LLM stutters like "closes close below" or "the the". Applied to scenario lines and price_analysis output.

### New Flags
--no-dedup flag skips prior-digest anti-repeat check. Useful for test runs so all stories appear. --testpost now implies --no-dedup.

### Scenario & Mover Improvements
Scenario names now Title Case (e.g. "Bullish Breakout" not "bullish breakout"). Mover bullet normalization ensures consistent formatting. Entity dedup broadened to include riot, marathon, mara, hormuz, clarity act, genius act. Dedup check now on title-only (not body) to reduce false positives on broad terms like etf, fed, sec.

### Prompt Clarification
Opening must be ONE clear observation, not a list of metrics. Outlook doesn't repeat movers' price levels. Price analysis doesn't repeat opening numbers  --  dives deeper into WHY.

## v1.3.8

### Footer Bug Fix
BBCode footer was producing literal backslashes (Q8\_0 instead of Q8_0). Backslash escaping doesn't work in BBCode  --  removed entirely. Now the model name renders clean in both plain text and BBCode output.

### PR Signal Detection
Added partner/ed/ing/ship to the PR detection signals. Partnership announcements get caught earlier and scored down instead of passing through as news.

## v1.3.0

### Provider Shift
Moved gx10 (gx10.local:8086) to default model provider. Switched xspark fallback from port 30004 to 30002 (SGLang). No more local Ornith server.

### Ornith Cleanup
Removed all Ornith references from codebase, README, systemd services, and git. Cleaned up old model files and incomplete downloads.

### README Rewrite
Complete GitHub README rewrite  --  cleaner structure, proper tables, quick-start, all recent changes baked in.

### Title Change
Digest title renamed from "BobClawblaw's News Digest" to "BobClawblaw's Bitcoin News Digest". Used in both BBCode output and email subjects.

## Earlier (v1.2.x)

### Wall Observer Indexer Fix
Changed INSERT to INSERT OR IGNORE for _seen table to prevent crash on duplicate msg_id.

### Buddyblocker Updates
Extended cooldown from 2h to 24h. Reduced escalation from +15% to +10% per missed roll.

## Summary

The Claude 9.6 rating came from the combination of:
- Tighter dedup (event-signature + stutter collapse)
- Cleaner FNG handling (no false fixes)
- Better prompt clarity (no repeating metrics)
- Proper formatting (no backslash artifacts, consistent bold)
- PR filtering catches corporate announcements that were inflating scores

Bitcoin rose to $64,016 as institutional demand surged with $132M in ETF inflows on July 17. Easing geopolitical tensions and positive CPI data also supported the recovery.

Sadly, JJG lacks the knowledge to understand how vitally important spot BTC ETFs and financial institutions are to the future price of Bitcoin. Maybe one day he'll accept it...

Hoping that it would move to the "median boomer age" of 72 on the way to the "oldest boomer" age of 80 (measured in thousands)  Grin.
Youngest boomer is 62.
