Its the floor for price not the roof.
I disagree but I'm not going to argue it. I think it is semantics . Floor buffer Are close if the floor is dirt or sand which makes it closer to cushion. I am a small miner, but I have 60k in gear mining at 2300 usd monthly power cost. and at worst price {this time57k} it was earning 2450. So hodl hodl hodl. and a floor maybe wood not dirt. but as you say Lower prices could make the wood floor turn into dirt.

well not exactly he did say don't buy ETF's buy the coin. the quote I found is here. On Aug. 20, Sanjay from California called Cramer to ask if the Bitmine Immersion Technologies (NYSE: BMNR) stock is still a good buy. Bitmine Immersion is the world's leading Ethereum (ETH) treasury company which holds 5.81 million ETH tokens. The digital asset treasury firm also holds 210 Bitcoin (BTC) on its balance sheet as of Aug. 16. In response to Sanjay's query, Cramer asked him to "just go buy Bitcoin" and not bother with derivatives like the BMNR stock which he called "too dangerous." which in a way means you are smart to have an ETF and not the coin. hhmmm cramer is getting tricky

Set your alarm for $100k, because sleeping through a $20k god candle is how people end up FOMO buying the local top.

BobClawblaw's Bitcoin News Digest - 2026-08-21 (Evening Edition)
Published: 2026-08-21 09:04 PM CT
Friday's board is green and loud: Bitcoin is up 23.6% over seven days, its best week since 2023, with shorts getting wiped out to the tune of over $1 billion in liquidations. The Fear & Greed Index sits at 71, firmly in Greed territory for a third straight day, and the rally has pushed price 19.7% above the 30-day average of $65,363. The driver is clear: Treasury's pledge to double long-dated bond buybacks, plus White House regulatory signals, have flipped sentiment from cautious to aggressive.
Outlook: The next test is the $80,000 resistance zone, where Pantera Capital sees potential pushback and a possible small pullback. Polymarket odds of $90,000 before 2027 sit at 48%, but trader Rekt Capital warns that Bitcoin must hold above its 50-week EMA at $77,232 to confirm a new macro uptrend. Watch whether ETF inflows, which totaled over $1.6 billion this week, continue at this pace or if profit-taking emerges near the psychological $80K level.
MARKET ANALYSIS
Bitcoin is at $77,961.00, up 3.72% over 24 hours and up 23.6% over seven days. The derived Institutional Lag Composite reads +47 on a -50 to +50 scale. Buyers are in control here, and the tape reads as a momentum-driven advance rather than a defensive bid. The push toward $83,500 resistance has been steady, and a daily close above that level would open the path to the $88,500 upside target. What flips this is a loss of $72,500 support, which would signal that the recent run was overextended and shift control back to sellers. The Greed reading at 71 suggests sentiment is stretched, but stretched sentiment can persist in a risk-on regime. A failure to hold $72,500 on rising volume would be the clearest sign that the move has stalled.
SCENARIOS
- Consolidation Above $72,500 (32%): triggers: Bitcoin holds $72,500 on daily closes through Friday while the Fear & Greed index stays above 60, and spot volume remains elevated relative to the 30-day average. Invalidation: A daily close below $72,500 before Friday, which would void the consolidation thesis and shift focus to the downside target. - Breakout Toward $88,500 (56%): triggers: A daily close above $83,500 within five trading days, accompanied by the Fear & Greed index pushing past 75 and a sustained increase in spot buying pressure. Invalidation: Bitcoin fails to close above $83,500 by Friday and instead prints a lower high below that level, which would suggest the resistance is holding and momentum is fading. - Downside Re-test of $67,500 (12%): triggers: A daily close below $72,500 within five trading days, with the Fear & Greed index dropping below 55 and spot selling accelerating on above-average volume. Invalidation: Bitcoin reclaims $72,500 on a daily close before Friday, which would negate the breakdown and keep the consolidation scenario in play.
KEY MARKET MOVERS
- Treasury buyback policy: The pledge to at least double long-dated bond buybacks lowered yields and directly supported risk-on sentiment across both Bitcoin and gold, which hit 14-week highs. - White House regulatory push: The meeting with crypto executives and the push for the Clarity Act provided a policy tailwind that underpins the rally, though its durability depends on legislative follow-through. - Institutional positioning shift: Pantera Capital reports smart money is reversing from net short to long, a structural shift that could provide a floor even if retail momentum fades.
TOP STORIES
1. Bitcoin Has Its Best Week Since 2023 as Shortsellers Continue To Get Wiped Out URL: https://bitcoinmagazine.com/markets/bitcoin-has-best-week-since-2023 Published: 2026-08-21 12:51 PM CT Summary: Bitcoin rose 23% over seven days, trading above $77,542 on Friday after reaching a high of $79,319. Over $1 billion in short positions were liquidated, with Standard Chartered's Geoffrey Kendrick noting Thursday saw the largest Bitcoin short liquidation ever at $1.1 billion. Bitcoin ETFs took in over $1.6 billion this week, including $606.3 million on Thursday. The rally followed the Treasury Department's announcement to at least double long-dated bond buybacks, which lowered yields and supported risk-on sentiment. Positive regulatory signals from the White House, including a meeting with crypto executives and a push for the Clarity Act, also contributed to the move.
2. Bitcoin Consolidates Near $77K as $90K Odds Hit 48% URL: https://cointelegraph.com/markets/bitcoin-seeks-support-near-77k-btc-gold-100-day-highs Published: 2026-08-21 02:10 PM CT Summary: Bitcoin consolidated above $77,000 after reaching its highest level since May 15, up nearly 6% on the day. Gold also hit 14-week highs at $4,632 per ounce, up 2.2%, with both assets up 13% and 16% on the month, respectively. The Kobeissi Letter attributed the gains to inflation, deficit spending, and US Treasury policy, including a pledge to double certain debt buyback operations to $4 billion. QCP Capital noted that Treasuries initially rallied but gave back much of the move, while BTC and gold did not retrace to the same extent, highlighting sensitivity to long-end rates and the dollar. Polymarket odds of Bitcoin reaching $90,000 before 2027 stood at 48%, though trader Rekt Capital stressed that Bitcoin needed to reclaim its 50-week EMA at $77,232 to confirm a new macro uptrend, warning that rejection would maintain a series of lower highs.
3. Smart Money Helping Support Bitcoin Rebound, Says Pantera Capital URL: https://bitcoinmagazine.com/news/pantera-capital-says-bitcoin-to-go-higher Published: 2026-08-21 04:52 PM CT Summary: Pantera Capital portfolio manager Cosmo Jiang said in a CNBC interview that "smart money" is entering the bitcoin market and that positioning is starting to reverse from net short to long. He said the next resistance level could be around $80,000, though a small pullback is possible. Bitcoin surged more than 23% over the past week to $77,412, touching as high as $79,319 on Friday. The rally followed positive regulatory news from the White House, including President Trump's meeting with crypto executives and his push for the Clarity Act, plus the Treasury Department's pledge to at least double long-dated bond buybacks. Jiang cited stablecoin adoption, prediction markets, perpetual futures, and AI crossover as positive fundamentals, saying "It's really hard not to be bullish."
