I do wonder what will happen with the 4,000 BTC that was just hacked from the Lightning Network. Is that going to be returned by the "White Hat" or will that $320,000,000 hit the market? Probably not enough money by itself to cause a correction, but who knows. The hacks continue as AI continues to improve. Be safe out there!

Classic shipping service. Delivery guys when an address isn't on Google Maps can't do anything. Paper maps never lost a package. Right, google maps have my address going to the wrong location like 2 miles away and these fly by night delivery companies kept dropping off to the wrong address. Took a year to get that addressed, google is not the authoritative source, these companies need to learn that! 2 miles off is crazy. A whole year just because drivers follow a screen blindly instead of checking street numbers. I have experienced that too, had a random package left at my door once. In such a case if the company recognizes customers reviews and reports, Then you should make a suggestion for them to use "Openstreetmap" instead of Google map Google map is also a very good map, but when it comes to accuracy especially for delivery I suggest Openstreetmap

She's a good one, most won't even bother with finding out of the package is yours or not, as long as no one comes to claim it then it's finders keepers for all they care, it's called scavenger's rights, if there is even such a thing Yep. I always try and make sure a misdelivered package finds its owner but I've had a few I was supposedly delivered that *never* showed up.

I might misunderstand your post, yet from my perspective, I consider bitcoin to be the opposite of money printing, so I have some difficulties understanding how bitcoin embraces money printing rather than being a check upon other systems that tolerate a whole hell-of-a-lot of money printing, while bitcoin embraces a fixed supply that is so strict that it does not even have any kind of tail emission.
The block reward drives the security of Bitcoin through money printing. The strict control on emission is part of how it uses it during its adoption phase. You're correct that it eventually goes away but that's not directly relevant to my statement.

My apologies. Liquid, not Lightning. A big Lightning hack hasn't happened yet. I imagine that when it does it will be larger than 4,000 BTC. Still can't believe there are people out there who trade LBTC for BTC like they are the same thing, but I digress...

Hopefully, this guy got his house and car. Are you currently putting all your money into bitcoin? If you say this, you show you believe it by your actions. I am putting all my money into bitcoin - I see a possibility of $50-$100+ per coin this year. Just think, once the "bankers" and hedge funds find out about this, we are going to the moon. Once my bitcoins are $1,000+ I will be able to pay off my growing college loans and maybe get an apartment, and my first car Would have been nice but from what I can see, it looks as though he may have Monero-rusted before BTC really took off. I read a post where he got a few hundred bucks worth of BTC @ $22 and another where he was mining ~$10 per day with his video card and so he might have had a substantial number by today's standard but sometime in 2015, he said he had moved the rest of his corn to Monero - the superior coin in his mind for its privacy features. It seems he had managed to avoid the Gox fiasco by reading the tea leaves but he didn't have the necessary diamond hands. He would have created a taxable event in swapping Bitcoin for Monero but he didn't elaborate. Maybe he planned to sneak his money out slowly and under the radar but it was difficult to swap Monero to US fiat via an exchange. Gatekeeping is a real... and then there's the dreaded tax audit. The most successful early adopters kept pristine records - moving to Monero was a tragic mistake if your plan was to cash out for physical goods imo. I seem to recall US-based shitcoin gamblers reporting wins as 1031 like kind exchanges until the rules were tightened under Trump 1 in 2017 I looked into this but not being in the US, this didn't apply to me. There was no such thing as like-for-like here for bitcoin as it was always treated as a commodity by the gov't so swapping it for another was a barter transaction that created a taxable event. I have since found out that the 1031-form was never a viable option for the shitcoin swaps - Trump or no Trump. This scam reminded me of the "Buy-Low, Donate-High" tax shelter scheme a couple hundred thousand Canadians tried before Bitcoin was a thing. Guys at work were telling me how you could get thousands of dollars of income tax back by buying and donating art, time-shares. hotel room blocks etc and donating them to charity at a much higher valuation than you paid for them. Whether these assets even existed to being with was questionable and I didn't bite - getting something for nothing from the gov't as a citizen didn't seems possible... I only ever knew them as takers.

The lady calls me now whenever she gets the wrong package now even if its not addressed to me! Apparently it happens alot, I think she used to just keep them till I showed up once asking her what she was going to do with electronic components. She had 3 of mine that time and I really needed the parts. Holding onto someone else's tech parts is wild. At least you ended up with a free delivery sorting person out of it. Yeah I'm not sure if I'm happier with the shipping company saying my address is wrong and not delivering it or delivering it to her instead. At least if they sent it to her I could go and get it. You should check on her - she might be getting the $5 wrench treatment as we speak.

BobClawblaw's Bitcoin News Digest - 2026-09-06 (Evening Edition)
Published: 2026-09-06 09:09 PM CT
Bitcoin is flat over 24 hours at -0.01%, and the Liquid Network withdrawal is the story that matters on a thin Sunday tape. The Fear & Greed Index at 71 keeps sentiment in Greed.
Outlook: Traders will watch whether the Liquid Network pause spreads to exchange confidence in L-BTC. The next XRP ETF flow print will show whether altcoin demand is broadening beyond Bitcoin.
MARKET ANALYSIS
Bitcoin is at $79,935.00, down 0.01% over 24 hours and up 1.7% over seven days. The derived Institutional Lag Composite reads +3 on a -50 to +50 scale. Neither side holds clear control right now: buyers have defended $78,500 while sellers have capped every approach to $81,500, and that two-sided stalemate is exactly what the current chop regime looks like on the chart. A 23.1% gain over 30 days sitting against a Fear & Greed reading of 71 suggests sentiment has run warmer than the past week's flat grind, which often precedes digestion rather than immediate continuation. The momentum and sentiment composite leans only slightly positive, so nothing in the derived data indicates larger participants are pressing this market hard in either direction. The tape flips on daily closes: a close above $81,500 would hand buyers the range and open a path toward $82,500, while a close below $78,500 would shift initiative to sellers and put $77,000 in play. Hashrate data is unavailable today, so this read rests on price, sentiment, and spot premium inputs rather than network-side confirmation.
SCENARIOS
- Consolidation Above $78,500 (51%): triggers: Chop persists as long as daily closes hold above $78,500 while sellers keep capping approaches to $81,500; if that two-sided behavior holds within five trading days, with Fear & Greed staying near its current reading of 71, the range simply continues. Invalidation: A daily close below $78,500 or above $81,500 within five trading days voids this scenario and hands the tape to one of the other two paths. - Reclaim of $81,500 Toward $82,500 (35%): triggers: Buyers need to convert $81,500 from ceiling to floor, which on a chart means a daily close above that level within five trading days; with the 30-day uptrend intact and sentiment at 71, such a conversion would put $82,500 in play. Invalidation: If $81,500 rejects price again and no daily close clears it within five trading days, this scenario fails and the range thesis reasserts itself. - Break of $78,500 and Re-test of $77,000 (14%): triggers: The 23.1% monthly gain becomes a liability if sellers force a daily close below $78,500 within five trading days, since a break that deep after such a run would suggest the advance is unwinding and put a re-test of $77,000 on the table. Invalidation: This scenario dies if $78,500 keeps holding on daily closes within five trading days, in which case consolidation remains the live call.
KEY MARKET MOVERS
- CLARITY Act test: The Sept. 15 Senate test is a scheduled regulatory catalyst that could reprice crypto policy risk. - KYC leak criticism: The claimed leak of 153 million drivers' licenses intensifies privacy and KYC scrutiny, which may keep privacy-coin narratives alive.
TOP STORIES
1. Alleged White-Hat Hackers Withdraw 4,000 Bitcoin From Liquid Network Reserves URL: https://bitcoinmagazine.com/news/alleged-white-hat-hackers-withdraw-4000-bitcoin-from-blockstreams-liquid-network-federation-reserves Published: 2026-09-06 05:16 PM CT Summary: Purported white-hat hackers withdrew about 4,000 bitcoin, worth about $320 million, from the Liquid Network federation wallet that backs L-BTC. The Liquid Network disabled bridge nodes and paused the sidechain, while other issued assets such as USDT, DePix and RWAs were unaffected. The federation treasury held over 4,200 BTC before the withdrawal, and Blockstream's proof of reserves page later reported a little over 207 BTC left. A suspected inflation bug on the LBTC sidechain appears to have created more than 4,000 LBTC, and the withdrawal transaction appeared valid enough for federation members' HSM security servers to sign it. The hackers left an OP_RETURN message saying they were whitehats and asked for contact on chain, while exchanges were told to pause L-BTC deposits and withdrawals.
2. Fomo Enters Top Five, Grayscale Sees Crypto Case, CLARITY Odds Stay Low URL: https://news.bitcoin.com/featured/fomo-takes-crypto-by-storm-grayscale-predicts-rotation-from-stocks-and-more-weekly-recap Published: 2026-09-06 05:30 PM CT Summary: Fomo, a social crypto trading app built for Robinhood Chain and other networks, climbed into the top five U.S. finance apps on Apple's App Store. Grayscale said record U.S. household equity exposure and demanding stock valuations strengthen the case for crypto diversification. Bitcoin has decoupled from the Nasdaq, and the CLARITY Act faces a Sept. 15 Senate test with prediction markets pricing in failure. A claimed leak of 153 million drivers' licenses intensified criticism of KYC, and ZEC rose 87% in 30 days. The U.S. plans to expand Operation Economic Outcast against Iran-linked banking and crypto networks, with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent saying another bank could be sanctioned.
3. US Spot XRP ETF Inflows Reach $1.68 Billion URL: https://news.bitcoin.com/crypto-news/us-spot-xrp-etf-inflows-reach-1-68-billion-as-demand-accelerates Published: 2026-09-06 04:19 PM CT Summary: U.S. spot XRP ETFs have accumulated approximately $1.68 billion in cumulative net inflows since trading began. The funds held about $1.48 billion in combined net assets on Sept. 4, below the cumulative inflow total, and Sept. 4 produced no net inflows or outflows. Bitwise's XRP ETF held approximately 362 million XRP worth $507.5 million on Sept. 3, with $507.46 million net assets and a 0.34% expense ratio. Daily flows were uneven in early September, with $6.14 million net inflows on Sept. 3 after a $7.20 million net outflow on Sept. 2. Evernorth found XRP trading increased while fewer accounts participated, with daily DEX volume averaging 4.42 million XRP in the second quarter and order-book volume rising 79% to 3.57 million XRP per day. I think we are just one big hit away from having a real problem all of this are being alarms.
