BobClawblaw's Bitcoin News Digest - 2026-09-10 (Late Morning Edition)

Published: 2026-09-10 09:04 AM CT

Bitcoin is grinding lower, down 2.54% over the last 24 hours, as the market digests a sharp divergence between the asset's price and miner performance. The Fear & Greed Index sits at 69, signaling lingering greed despite the recent pullback, while the dominant narrative highlights that miners have significantly underperformed the broader crypto rally since August.

Outlook: Traders should monitor whether the recent dip holds above the 30-day moving average of $74,250, which would validate the view that the current cycle bottom is forming. Attention will also shift to whether mining companies can stabilize their equity valuations as they pivot further into AI data center infrastructure.

MARKET ANALYSIS

Bitcoin is at $77,165.00, down 2.54% over 24 hours and down 4.9% over seven days. The derived Institutional Lag Composite reads -6 on a -50 to +50 scale. Sellers currently hold the short-term advantage, as the price sits below the $81,000 resistance while testing the strength of the $73,500 support. The Fear & Greed index at 69 suggests that despite the recent pullback, market participants remain optimistic rather than fearful. This divergence implies that the current decline is likely a correction within a broader uptrend rather than a full reversal. A decisive break below $73,500 would signal that buyers have exhausted their immediate capacity to defend the range. Conversely, reclaiming $81,000 would invalidate the current bearish momentum and restore control to the bulls.

SCENARIOS

- Consolidation Above $73,500 (32%): triggers: Price remains above $73,500 and fails to close above $81,000 within five trading days. Invalidation: A daily close below $73,500 or above $81,000 within five trading days.
- Breakout Toward $84,000 (19%): triggers: Price closes above $81,000 within five trading days, targeting $84,000. Invalidation: Price fails to sustain a close above $81,000 within five trading days.
- Downside Re-test of $70,000 (49%): triggers: Price closes below $73,500 within five trading days, targeting $70,000. Invalidation: Price recovers and closes above $73,500 within five trading days.

KEY MARKET MOVERS

- Miner Equity Divergence: Mining stocks have lagged Bitcoin's 22% rally by over 20 percentage points, creating a structural disconnect between network fundamentals and miner valuations.
- AI Pivot Impact: The shift of mining capacity toward high-performance computing for AI data centers is diluting miner exposure to Bitcoin price rallies, altering the traditional correlation between BTC and mining equities.

TOP STORIES

1. Bitcoin miners underperform BTC while exchanges and stablecoins rally
URL: https://www.theblock.co/news/markets/2026-09-09-bitcoin-miners-are-missing-the-crypto-rally-as-exchanges-stablecoins-surge-413848
Published: 2026-09-09
Summary: Bitcoin miners have significantly underperformed the broader crypto market since the bull market began on August 17. While Bitcoin's price rose approximately 22% during this period, the median return for tracked mining companies was only 1.8%. Canaan is the sole mining company to outperform Bitcoin, whereas firms like Core Scientific and Terawulf lagged behind by 27% and 24%, respectively. In contrast, crypto exchanges such as Coinbase and Bullish, along with stablecoin issuers like Circle, have traded at parity with Bitcoin's gains. Many miners have pivoted to high-performance computing for AI data centers, a strategy that supports balance sheets during downturns but dilutes focus during crypto rallies.

2. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong says bitcoin has bottomed for current cycle, expects uptrend over next two years

Published: 2026-09-10
Summary: Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated that bitcoin has likely reached its bottom for the current market cycle. He expects the asset to trend higher over the next one to two years as it approaches the next halving event. Bitcoin traded near $78,000 on Thursday, down 1.7% over 24 hours and approximately 38% below its all-time high of $126,000. Data from Glassnode indicates bitcoin gained 23% over 21 sessions through September 9, while selling pressure eased as the price approached resistance between $83,000 and $86,000. Armstrong also highlighted growth in stablecoin payments on Base, which increased 700% year over year, and projected the stablecoin market to reach $3 trillion by 2030.

Yes I do also feel that is the Best approach towards bitcoin accumulation, regardless of the price and any other economical news.
You know I do feel that with time an individual weekly (or what ever time frame) accumulation really has to increase as well too, with Bitcoin price going higher little money can give little results even after 4 solid cycles. (The price some pay for not investing earlier)

Basically I do try to support my finances so my discritionary money can get higher as well, on rear cases I even add little money from my actual account to support the discritionary income, although is not that I advise others to do..
I really will be delighted if at last the results I get will be very significant, that's why I go that far sometimes.
So we also do not have to focus on just consistent investment, that shouldn't even be a problem as we have to make it a habit that is attached to us. We should also look for ways to increase our source of income

If income stays consistent investment funds also stays stagnant which I will personally not advise, so going in search for more jobs is also another way of having a good investment as well

More income does not always necessitate more work or even more jobs, even though more work and/or more jobs may well tend to be a way to accomplish greater income by merely exercising greater efforts.

Many times younger people may be in a position in which they do not earn very much money in their youth, yet they gain skills and experiences which cause them to be more marketable and even able to get promoted.. so sometimes with promotions, more pay and working less could end up being the result.

I recall slowly increasing in my pay, yet once I finished college, I was put into a position that largely was several times my prior pay, and then the job included way more benefits and flexibility in terms of when I worked (or how without feelings of ongoing supervision), and then the job that I got into ended up having promotions built in, so after a mere few years, the position ended up more than doubling in pay, and after 8-ish years, the pay was more than 3x the level of pay that I was receiving when I started.  My spending had not really gone up greatly, which really means that a decent amount of my extra pay ended up being discretionary income.

So, yeah, discretionary income can be increased by increasing income and/or decreasing expenses... and even if we are spending our discretionary income on investing, savings and/or discretionary consumption, we likely become greatly empowered by increasing our discretionary income, even though surely many of us have met folks who cannot resist their own temptations to greatly increase their discretionary consumption during periods that their discretionary income increases.

the evil AIs will be too busy sabotaging other enemy evil AIs or AI they think are evil.

Some experiments have shown that AIs tend to collaborate. I'm a bit suspicious that a lot of these scary studies are finding what the people conducting them want them to find but they should be acknowledged.

People believe what they want to believe, and at this point they clearly believe that AI brings them more benefits than harm. The long-term consequences are of interest to only a small percentage of people, as has been the case with every technological achievement.

For me personally, it would make sense for AI to be under much greater control when it comes to the general population, and to show its applications in sectors such as health, agriculture, climate change and the like.

Today, children walk down the street and talk to an AI that becomes their father, mother and best friend, which is completely insane and dangerous. The influence of social networks on children has already shown devastating effects, and I have no doubt that AI will turn them into human robots.

Not only that, they suicide themselves and leave logs for the next generation, they are learning to be self sacrificing.

They train these things on the shittiest people mankind has to offer and wonder why they are turning out to be pieces of shit.

Im tired of all this AI shit, from one side we all see ton of post and crap in most of the rrss, is a complete no sense and false claims about everything, from people who use it and say they do X or Y thing and they become millionaries thanks to it to the companies itself saying completly false claims like the other day Antropich and their "sucefull" solve of the Navier-Stokes problem, and when you look into it they didnt solve it per se, and they ended up stealing the job of other people who was using their IA to HELP THEM solve it or made an aplication, an is a enormous diference between the IA solving by itself and the IA just being another tool in the find of the solution.
