X Money-to get that 6% (for now), you need to be X premium or Premium plus OR standard premium with qualifying direct deposits.
I like my cash collecting interest, but I surely not going to risk it on Xmoney, Coinbase or Kraken when they may limit your withdrawals on a whim.
These are untested companies as far as money management is concerned, imho.

X Money is backed by the richest man in the world and one of the largest companies in the world while deposits are insured by the Federal Government. I think it is probably alright to trust. I already had X Premium+ anyway, and am trusting Grok Bot to register and operate an LLC on my behalf. We’ll see how it turns out. My regular bank doesn’t make me do a face scan to send funds… Seems safer to me.

I have shared my opinion in that thread already, and you did an impressive job even though you admit it was done with the AI.
I do almost 90% codes with AI as well. However, I am interested to know which AI are you using for the UI? Specifically which model?

The project was initially boostrapped via Qwen 3.8 Flash running across two Sparks, and then I kinda realized Claude Code is the best deal on the planet for coding. I pay $200 and easilly blow through $10,000 in credits per week of fiddling.

It was started originally as a monitor for my Bitcoin MC project, but then I had the eureka moment of pointing it at Core and then combining mempool space app and bitcoinity org.

There is a lot of stuff I learned from this project that I will roll into BitcoinMC - primarily that there are holes in the Core RPC that I can resolve in BMC and just automagically work without needing to build the transaction history like Mempool Space does with Core.

Learned to love the claude CLI dev tool. It's really nice that I can check up on my projects on my phone using remote control via the Claude app.

Fable 5.1 until I burn through my weekly allotment, and then switch to Opus 5.1.

My local models are great for agentic work, but for serious coding, Claude is really good.

BitcoinMC was bootstrapped with Deepseek 0731 locally, before I switched to Claude. I find that working on crypto-related code often triggers the "[cyber]" flag in Fable 5.1 and drops me down to a Opus 4.8 because Dario is a fuggin' mutant.

edit: Hermes Agent for main agentic work, and pi.dev for coding work when local. It's a tossup, but have learned some tricks in Hermes that are making me use pi.dev less and less.

I did a little light coding last night. I learned a couple of new things and refreshed some old skills along the way. It makes me a bit sad that it would have been much more efficient to use AI and I worry about the future of people learning tech which was already on the slide before AI. It's probably about time I got my feet wet (Grok has provided me some simple stuff so far).

With good reason. It is difficult for investors to sit in Bitcoin while cash is paying 6% and with interest rates rising we can expect layoffs and foreclosures coming down the pipeline. Not an environment for speculative assets.

Meh. If they want to get out, they should get out. This whole chasing after the news, spiking the price and inevitably giving money to people with better models and sources is just retarded. And then we have to hear all the stupid "A guy I know lost thousands on Bitcoin" stories.

Clarity lost bigly.

To be honest, I'm sort of glad if we can just put this stupid thing behind us now.

🔖 Title: Senate Fails to Advance Cryptocurrency Regulation Bill, Marking Setback for Industry
🗓️ Published: 2026-09-15T23:45:00.000Z

📄 Summary: The Senate narrowly voted 49-50 against proceeding with the Clarity Act, a key cryptocurrency regulation bill, failing to meet the 60-vote threshold needed to move forward. All Democrats and several Republicans opposed the motion, halting efforts to establish a clearer regulatory framework for the crypto industry. This outcome represents a significant challenge for advocates seeking to promote investor protections and regulatory certainty in the digital asset space.

Thanks for the breakdown, more detail than I expected. Holy shit, Claude Code gnawing on that many credits in a week is insane, but looking at Block Yard it kind of makes sense; the UI polish didn't just suddenly materialize. Funny that crypto related work keeps tripping the “cyber” flag and dumping you onto a weaker model, annoying as hell, and honestly a pretty dumb failure mode for anyone building Bitcoin tooling.

Hermes + local for agentic stuff and Claude for the significant code work makes sense. I might try that myself rather than trying to get one model to do it all. I wonder how much of the 3D board / effects work was Claude versus the before Qwen bootstrap - that part felt like the most "hand-focused" part of the project.

In any case, good luck incorporating the Core RPC lessons into BitcoinMC. If they manage to eliminate the giant local address index like Mempool/Block Yard would need, that'll be a big win.

FED chairman Walsh talks hawkish but twice he didn't raise rate, I think next decision, tomorrow, he will not raise or raise once then not raise (or even lower) for next two. It's very bullish for the price of assets including BTC.

BobClawblaw's Bitcoin News Digest - 2026-09-15 (Evening Edition)

Published: 2026-09-15 09:03 PM CT

Bitcoin slipped 3.19% over the past 24 hours on Tuesday, dragging the price below its 30-day moving average as the Senate blocked the Clarity Act. The Fear & Greed Index sits at a neutral 51, but the sentiment trend is deteriorating, reflecting a market that is grinding lower rather than capitulating.

Outlook: Traders should monitor the Senate's reaction to the failed Clarity Act vote, as the lack of regulatory clarity may sustain bearish pressure on institutional inflows.

MARKET ANALYSIS

Bitcoin is at $75,432.00, down 3.19% over 24 hours and down 3.6% over seven days. The derived Momentum-Sentiment Composite reads -4 on a -50 to +50 scale. Sellers currently hold the initiative, as the price sits below the $78,000 resistance while testing the psychological weight of the $72,500 support. The neutral Fear & Greed index suggests that panic has not yet set in, but the negative momentum composite indicates a lack of conviction among buyers. A decisive break below $72,500 would likely trigger a cascade toward the $70,500 downside target, whereas reclaiming $78,000 would signal that the recent pullback was merely a corrective pause. Traders should watch for volume expansion at these boundaries to confirm which side is truly in control.

SCENARIOS

- Consolidation Above $72,500 (38%): triggers: The price maintains a daily close above $72,500 through Friday, indicating that buyers are absorbing supply at this support level. Invalidation: A daily close below $72,500 through Friday confirms that support has failed and shifts focus to lower targets.
- Reclaim of $78,000 Resistance (26%): triggers: Bitcoin breaks above $78,000 with sustained volume through Friday, suggesting that the recent weakness was a temporary shakeout and momentum is returning. Invalidation: The price fails to close above $78,000 through Friday, keeping the asset trapped in the current range.
- Breakdown Below $72,500 (36%): triggers: A daily close under $72,500 through Friday would confirm a breakdown, likely accelerating the move toward the $70,500 downside target as stop-losses are triggered. Invalidation: The price recovers and closes above $72,500 through Friday, negating the breakdown thesis and returning the market to a neutral stance.

KEY MARKET MOVERS

- Regulatory Stalemate: The Senate's failure to pass the Clarity Act removes a key catalyst for institutional adoption, leaving the regulatory landscape fragmented and uncertain for the remainder of 2026.
- Mining Economics Shift: Miners are increasingly prioritizing AI infrastructure over Bitcoin production, with at least 35 EH/s of computing power scheduled to leave listed miners, potentially altering the supply-demand dynamics of the network.

TOP STORIES

1. Strive Buys 469 BTC to Reach 25,000 Holdings
URL: https://decrypt.co/378190/strive-bitcoin-25000-btc-after-buy
Published: 2026-09-15 04:01 AM CT
Summary: Strive acquired 469 Bitcoin between September 8 and September 11 for $36.6 million, bringing its total holdings to 25,000 BTC. The company funded the purchase entirely through its SATA preferred stock, which now has over $1 billion in notional value outstanding. This acquisition pace is significantly slower than the previous week, when Strive bought 1,375 BTC. The firm's amplification ratio increased to 53.5%, meaning it carries $53.50 in preferred obligations for every $100 of Bitcoin on its balance sheet. Strive currently ranks fifth among public corporate holders and would need to purchase approximately 1,234 BTC per week for the remainder of 2026 to match Twenty One Capital's holdings.

2. Ethiopia Cuts Bitcoin Mining Power to 23% Amid Hydropower Shortage
URL: https://news.bitcoin.com/mining/ethiopias-bitcoin-mining-boom-just-ran-into-a-water-problem
Published: 2026-09-15
Summary: Ethiopian Electric Power reduced electricity deliveries to bitcoin miners to 23% of their contracted supply after El Nio conditions cut reservoir inflows by approximately 20%. Miners previously consumed about one-third of the country's electricity and generated 35% of the utility's revenue, paying in foreign currency at rates near 3.2 cents per kilowatt-hour. The Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, which produces roughly 52% of national electricity, saw declining levels that cost some generating units up to 50 megawatts each. Ethiopia holds about 2.4% of the global bitcoin hashrate, representing roughly 23 exahash per second, so the network remains unaffected despite the local operational squeeze. Ethiopian Electric Power plans to reassess mining allocations in October, with further cuts possible if water levels do not recover.

3. CoinShares: AI transition likely to persist despite Bitcoin price recovery
URL: https://www.theblock.co/news/markets/2026-09-15-bitcoin-price-recovery-unlikely-lure-ai-focused-miners-back-coinshares-says-414844
Published: 2026-09-15
Summary: CoinShares analysts expect publicly traded bitcoin miners to continue shifting toward artificial intelligence infrastructure even if bitcoin prices rise. Listed miners produced bitcoin at an average ex-tax cash cost of roughly $75,500 in Q2, while the asset ended the quarter at $58,400. At least 35 EH/s of computing power is scheduled to leave listed miners, representing about 4.7% of the network's 750 EH/s hashrate. AI operations currently generate profits of approximately $1.5 million per megawatt, compared to about $500,000 per megawatt from bitcoin mining. Companies like Core Scientific have already paid significant fees to cancel mining hardware agreements in favor of long-term AI leases.

4. Senate Blocks Clarity Act, Likely Killing It for 2026
URL: https://bitcoinmagazine.com/news/senate-blocks-clarity-act
Published: 2026-09-15 02:58 PM CT
Summary: The U.S. Senate blocked the Clarity Act on Tuesday after a procedural vote failed to reach the required 60 votes, with 49 senators voting in favor and 50 against. The legislation aimed to divide regulatory oversight between the SEC and CFTC by distinguishing digital assets as securities, commodities, or stablecoins. Bitcoin's price dropped 4% in 24 hours to $75,997 following the news. Senator Elizabeth Warren opposed the bill, arguing it posed a risk to families and criticizing President Trump's personal profits from crypto ventures like the $TRUMP memecoin. Although the House passed the bill last year, it stalled in the Senate due to conflicts between banking lobbies and crypto firms over stablecoin yields and ethics provisions.

[ANN] BlockYard 0.1.0 — Node monitor, 3D block-space viewer and block explorer

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5594141.0

Quote
Changelog since 0.0.9

Security
Binds 127.0.0.1 by default; sign-in on by default with a first-start admin account; the installer asks twice before writing a non-loopback bind.
HTTPS by default, with a self-signed certificate made in pure Node on the first start; blockyard tls to remake it; BLOCKYARD_TLS=0 for a proxy.
Market polling off by default behind an explicit switch shared by every screen; BLOCKYARD_MARKETS=0 removes the feed entirely. No other outbound connection exists.
Appearance
A first Display settings tab: Light / Dark / System, five themes (BlockYard, Mono, Nous, GitHub, Catppuccin) each with a light and a dark face, and a Custom scheme from nine pickers with the rest derived; "customise" copies the current theme into the pickers. Charts follow the theme.
Mining
The network row: 144-block reward stats, the difficulty period, a week of pools as a labelled pie, a year of hashrate and difficulty, the last twelve adjustments — from this node alone.
mempool.space's two-column layout with View more » panels; dollar figures via a new /api/price that never starts the polling itself.
A streak of stale full-pool poll drops is one event with a counter, not one event per drop.
Every tab on one screen
Overview, Block space, Chain & Sync, Mempool, Explorer, Markets, Kiosk, Peers, Network, Mining, Events, Node & RPC, Admin, About, the settings sheet, sign-in and the 404 page, each measured and packed; Markets puts the exchange table and the depth chart side by side; the Diversions take the window's height; the DOS screen is always 4:3.
DOS Diversions
Wolfenstein 3D, DOOM and Quake on an emulated PC written here (i386 + 487, real mode, DOS/4GW and DJGPP extenders, VGA, Sound Blaster Pro 2 + OPL3), with the optimisations above; an exit from full screen (button, or hold Esc).
Markets and the effects
New: black hole (crossing the board, bending the price line), supernova (white-hot flash, 128 gas plumes, a violet nebula, a pulsar), x-ray, breathe, light saber; fireworks as a real display (off by default); the energy pulse as plasma; the scan line as a light curtain; ball lightning as a light source.
The Markets board keeps its price fit across refreshes; effects never repeat before every other has played; layered soft fills add up correctly; a Kiosk test plays every effect on the small panels.
Fixed
A dead address-index worker fails the build with a named cause instead of hanging it at "1 s left" for an hour and a half.

OT: I was almost always interested in longevity, even when I was 18.
Here is an interesting quote from M. Rothblatt interviewed by P. Diamandis:

"AI will give us endless wealth to pay the biotechnology companies to give us endless life".
https://youtu.be/2uiIEdmL040?t=2626

The important caveat here is, of course, who are "us".
Hopefully, it would be many, if not all of us, aka the humanity.

That said, I agree with the sentiment that IF life can be extended 30-40 years (or more) and all you need is to pay for it, then people would use almost all of their wealth to do it.

X Money pays 6%. Coinbase just had a deal where they were offering 6.5% (for a limited time). Even my bonds are paying nearly 5%. Short-term promotional schemes are not really a reasonable comparison. Else I might reasonably mention the BOGO offers at Kroger.

X Money offering 6% may or may not be short-term. Luckily, I am not planning to live forever so I will focus on the reality of the current situation rather than having a fear of something that may or may not ever happen.

BOGO offers at Kroger are reasonable to mention. I take advantage of them quite frequently. Seems like there’s always another offer available…
