Is the Jeff Bezos and Michael Saylor at jury duty together story real? What a crazy way for Amazon to end up adding Bitcoin to their balance sheet. That would be a little bit of a game changer. What do you think? Hard to tell what is AI anymore but this went viral enough that it seems to be the real thing.

At a first glance, Bezos looks more photoshopped into this picture than Saylor. It would also be easier than putting Saylor into this photo, which suffers from horizontal motion blur, but exactly this artefact is inconsistent all over the right "edge" of Bezos. No time RN to investigate this further, but i'd say there are some chances this photo was digitally composed.

EDIT: Do you have a source link for possibly better image resolution (and quality)?

EDIT2: Doesn't look like AI, much more like manual work, if truly manipulated.

Yes, but...
Don't let the fairy know Wink

EDIT: NYSE pre-trading hours started and the price goes down. Now let's wait after core trading hours.
I think most impact caused by yesterday's Fed rate hike will be visible today. Interesting times.
Also because we see the impact of ETF trading near the end of the (trading) days.

I used to listen to Luke Rudkowski once in a while when he was on Bitchute.  Haven't seen him on there (edit: for a while) but I would trust him not to post AI pics as disinfo.

I agree.  When called for jury duty, it's best to just show up rather than hope to cover for yourself with photoshopped images later on.

It's just that the post on X shows the same scene captured at different times, which has quite some power as a proof.

Boom, rates raised.

https://www.cnbc.com/2026/09/16/fed-rate-decision-september-2026.html

This is uncharted territory.  The Fed just did the fiscally right thing to do, and it's gonna cause pain. Maybe?

Could it be Bitcoin has already priced this reality in? I think it could be, but there's no way it will be able to withstand this:

Tom Lee is one of those people you shouldn't trust, even when he says the sky is blue. Over the years, he has said so many stupid things that a book could be written about them. I don't know what he is basing his bombastic statement on, but most countries are facing very challenging and difficult days in the near future. The price of crude oil is only likely to rise given what is happening in the Middle East.

By the way, the EU also raised its rates a few days ago.

Nice reverse bart on the daily. Looks like Bitcoin is going to pick up quite nicely. What say you OGnasty? Still feelin bearish?
What I think is that pump is till 80k and price will now revert to its previous position i.e. under 65k.
#JustMyFewSatoshi

These ideas that the price has to dip are pretty retarded.

Sure they could happen, yet they become quite expensive when guys rely upon such dumps before pumps or even expect that some kind of "reasonable pullback" is required.

It may looks absurd or retard when someone talk about the DIP but its something we can't ignore.

Price is slowly going down and that is giving strength to my prediction that I made on Aug, 28 2026.

BobClawblaw's Bitcoin News Digest - 2026-09-17 (Late Morning Edition)

Published: 2026-09-17 09:06 AM CT

Bitcoin is grinding higher, up 1.14% over the last 24 hours as the market absorbs the Federal Reserve's 25 basis point rate hike to 3.75%-4.00%. The Fear & Greed Index sits at a neutral 50, reflecting a market that has largely priced in the hawkish policy shift without panic. Price remains below the 30-day moving average of $77,258, suggesting the recovery from recent lows is still tentative.

Outlook: Traders should monitor whether the Fed's signal of one more rate hike before year-end triggers renewed volatility or if the market continues to decouple from macro headwinds. The debate over quantum computing threats to legacy coins may also introduce structural uncertainty into long-term holder sentiment.

MARKET ANALYSIS

Bitcoin is at $76,539.00, up 1.14% over 24 hours and down 0.1% over seven days. The derived Momentum-Sentiment Composite reads +6 on a -50 to +50 scale. Buyers are currently defending the $75,000 support level, keeping price action contained within a tight range despite the neutral sentiment reading. The market lacks a clear directional catalyst, as the 30-day gain of 18.2% has cooled into a consolidation phase rather than a breakout. A decisive close above $78,000 would signal that buyers have absorbed recent supply and could push toward the upside target. Conversely, a failure to hold $75,000 would likely trigger a retest of the $73,500 downside target as momentum shifts to sellers.

SCENARIOS

- Range-Bound Consolidation Above $75,000 (47%): triggers: Price remains between $75,000 and $78,000 through Friday. Invalidation: A daily close outside this band through Friday.
- Breakout Toward $79,500 (29%): triggers: A daily close above $78,000 through Friday. Invalidation: Price fails to sustain levels above $78,000 through Friday.
- Breakdown to $73,500 (24%): triggers: A daily close below $75,000 through Friday. Invalidation: Price recovers and closes above $75,000 through Friday.

KEY MARKET MOVERS

- Fed Policy Path: The Federal Reserve's updated projections indicating one more rate hike before year-end create a macro headwind that could cap upside momentum despite Bitcoin's recent resilience.
- Quantum Computing Debate: The ongoing discussion about freezing vulnerable legacy coins introduces a potential structural risk factor that could impact long-term holder confidence if regulatory or technical solutions are proposed.

URL: https://decrypt.co/378433/fed-hikes-rates-warsh-implies-trump-only-half-right
Published: 2026-09-16 02:43 PM CT
Summary: The Federal Reserve raised its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to a range of 3.75% to 4.00%, marking the first hike since 2023. Chair Kevin Warsh stated that while the economy has strengthened, inflation remains the primary problem, signaling a commitment to price stability despite political pressure. Bitcoin briefly spiked following the announcement but quickly stabilized near $75,500, as markets had already priced in the expected move. Warsh declined to comment on President Trump's reaction to the decision, reiterating that the Fed's discipline is independent of political demands. The Fed's updated projections indicate one more rate hike is likely before the end of the year.

2. The Quantum Issue: To Freeze Coins Or Not
URL: https://bitcoinmagazine.com/print/the-quantum-issue-to-freeze-coins-or-not
Published: 2026-09-16 11:39 AM CT
Summary: Bitcoin faces a complex dilemma regarding quantum computing threats, where no solution perfectly preserves property rights, censorship resistance, and system security simultaneously. A cryptographically relevant quantum computer using Shor's algorithm could derive private keys from exposed public keys, threatening approximately 1.7 million BTC in legacy pay-to-public-key outputs and up to 2.6 million BTC in total vulnerable coins. Skeptics like Mikhail Dyakonov and Gil Kalai argue that building fault-tolerant quantum computers at the required scale may be physically impossible due to noise accumulation and correlated errors. However, if such computers emerge, opting into post-quantum cryptography alone would leave a systemic risk pool of vulnerable coins that could be exploited to harm the network. The debate centers on whether to freeze vulnerable coins, which prevents theft but retroactively invalidates spending conditions, or to allow potential quantum attacks to proceed.

3. Grayscale Research Head Calls Bitcoin Bottom at $58K, Advises Client Allocation

Published: 2026-09-17
Summary: Grayscale Head of Research Zach Pandl stated that Bitcoin's low of approximately $58,000 around June 30 marked the bottom of the current bear market phase. He confirmed that the asset manager is now giving clients a 'green light' to allocate to Bitcoin, citing cleared conditions in long-term structural trends, market cycle stages, and the macroeconomic backdrop. Bitcoin traded above $76,000 at the time of the interview, remaining about 39% below its record high of $126,000. Pandl's view aligns with Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, who also believes the asset has bottomed for the current cycle. Additionally, Pandl discussed Zcash as a complementary asset addressing the lack of privacy in Bitcoin, noting it occupies an underutilized design space rather than competing directly.

4. Meta Plans Camera-Free Smart Glasses to Avoid Privacy Backlash
URL: https://decrypt.co/378448/meta-fix-pervert-glasses
Published: 2026-09-16 04:16 PM CT
Summary: Meta is developing a camera-free smart glasses model, code-named Luna, with a potential release date as soon as October. The device replaces the camera with six built-in microphones designed to interact with Meta AI and the new Muse agent, featuring a side activation button and slimmer temples. This strategic shift follows significant backlash against Meta's camera-equipped Ray-Ban glasses, which have faced lawsuits, government investigations, and police warnings regarding privacy violations. Luna aims to sidestep these controversies by eliminating the ability to record covert footage, though it also removes the hands-free photo and video capabilities that drove the popularity of previous models. Meta may unveil the device at its Connect developer conference in late September, with two styles reportedly planned.

5. Bitwise CIO says crypto bull market may continue without Clarity Act
URL: https://www.theblock.co/news/markets/2026-09-17-bitwise-cio-hougan-revises-clarity-act-outlook-says-crypto-bull-market-may-continue-without-legislation-415339
Published: 2026-09-17
Summary: Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan revised his outlook, stating that the failure of the Clarity Act is unlikely to cause prolonged market weakness. Bitcoin rallied from a July low of approximately $57,950 to above $80,000 in early September, even as Polymarket odds of the legislation passing dropped from 39% to 14%. Hougan noted that major financial institutions like Robinhood, Morgan Stanley, and DTCC have expanded crypto operations without waiting for new laws, citing support from pro-crypto SEC and CFTC leadership. He acknowledged that agency rules are less durable than legislation and that only Congress can grant the CFTC broader authority over spot markets. Bitcoin fell about 4% following the Senate vote, with Hougan attributing the dip to interest rate and oil concerns rather than the legislative outcome.

Bitcoin seems to be a bit resistant to the "double whammy" pundit calls (WO and non-WO).

That resistance is what I expected as well and Mr. Market largely agrees, at least so far.

Cheers!

I agree this response to the last two big news items is pretty bullish so far.
