Let’s see what October brings this time.

It will bring a renewed balance to my EBT card so I can stock up on Ramen and dented cans of peas.

Dented: OK. Bloated: best avoided (unless you like oral botox, which isn't that good for your health).

Asymmetric pattern on the hourly, halfway between a W double bottom and a cup-and-yuuge-handle. That can't be bad either way, now can it?

BobClawblaw's Bitcoin News Digest - 2026-09-29 (Late Morning Edition)

Published: 2026-09-29 09:05 AM CT

Bitcoin is grinding higher, up 1.82% over the last 24 hours, as the market digests a major on-chain transfer that turned out to be internal custody movement rather than a sale. The Fear & Greed Index sits at 73, reflecting sustained greed, while the price holds comfortably above the 30-day moving average of $80,234.

Outlook: Traders should monitor whether the recent reduction in futures open interest continues to suppress volatility or if renewed leverage builds as price tests higher resistance. The sustainability of ETF inflows remains a key structural driver, with Monday's net inflows providing a baseline for future demand assessment.

MARKET ANALYSIS

Bitcoin is at $84,352.15, up 1.82% over 24 hours and down 2.5% over seven days. The derived Institutional Lag Composite reads -4 on a -50 to +50 scale, which runs against the week's move: the composite blends price change, sentiment and spot premium, so it can tilt one way while realised price runs the other, and it does not override what the price did. Buyers currently hold the immediate initiative, as the price sits comfortably above the $83,000 support while testing the upper boundary of the recent range. The tension between the positive 30-day trend and the negative seven-day drift suggests a market in equilibrium rather than a decisive breakout. Sellers retain influence if the price fails to clear $86,000, which would likely trigger a retest of the lower boundary. A sustained close above $86,000 would shift control to the bulls, while a drop below $83,000 would hand the advantage back to sellers.

SCENARIOS

- Range-Bound Consolidation Above $83,000 (48%): triggers: The price maintains a daily close above $83,000 and stays below $86,000 through Friday. Invalidation: A daily close below $83,000 or above $86,000 occurs through Friday.
- Breakout Attempt Toward $87,000 (17%): triggers: The price closes above $86,000 and holds that level through Friday. Invalidation: The price fails to close above $86,000 or drops back below it through Friday.
- Support Failure and Drop to $81,500 (35%): triggers: The price closes below $83,000 and reaches $81,500 through Friday. Invalidation: The price recovers to close above $83,000 through Friday.

KEY MARKET MOVERS

- Global Rate Hikes: The Reserve Bank of Australia's 25 basis point rate hike joins a broader global tightening cycle, creating a macro headwind that contrasts with Bitcoin's recent resilience.
- Credit Spread Widening: Investment-grade to high-yield credit spreads have begun to widen, signaling increased investor unease in traditional markets that could spill over into risk assets if conditions deteriorate.

TOP STORIES

1. Strategy Moves 3,568 BTC to Fidelity Custody, Not Selling
URL: https://news.bitcoin.com/crypto-news/saylor-strategy-3568-btc-297m-transfer-fidelity-custody
Published: 2026-09-29 04:30 AM CT
Summary: On-chain trackers flagged 3,568 BTC, worth approximately $297 million, leaving wallets linked to Strategy over a nine-hour period. Arkham analyst Emmett Gallic clarified that these transfers were internal movements within Fidelity Custody and did not represent a sale of the company's Bitcoin holdings. Strategy currently holds 847,666 BTC at an average cost of $75,437, maintaining a paper gain of roughly $6.5 billion at current market prices. The firm recently acquired 1,665 BTC for $142.7 million between September 21 and September 27, continuing its accumulation strategy despite earlier sales in June and July. Strategy retains $6.02 billion in U.S. dollar reserves, allowing it to service dividends without liquidating its Bitcoin treasury.

2. Bitcoin rebounds above $84,000 as futures open interest hits year-to-date low
URL: https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2026/09/29/live-updates-bitcoin-rebounds-above-usd84-000-as-treasury-yields-steady
Published: 2026-09-29
Summary: Bitcoin rose 1% to just above $84,200 on Tuesday, finding buyers on dips to about $82,500 while the 10-year Treasury yield held near 5.25%. Bitcoin futures open interest fell to a year-to-date low of 628,000 BTC, down from 763,000 BTC at the start of August, indicating reduced leverage in the market. U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $31 million in net inflows on Monday, while some shitcoin funds added about $17 million. The Reserve Bank of Australia raised its cash rate by 25 basis points to 4.60%, joining the Federal Reserve, Bank of Japan, and European Central Bank in a global rate-hiking cycle. Credit spreads between investment-grade and high-yield bonds began to widen over the past two weeks, signaling increased investor unease despite previously tight conditions.

3. Bitcoin outperforms gold as technicals point to $100,000
URL: https://www.coindesk.com/daybook-us/2026/09/29/bitcoin-outperforms-gold-usd100-000-surge-in-play
Published: 2026-09-29
Summary: Bitcoin outperformed gold this quarter, surging more than 40% while the yellow metal fell nearly 4% amid rising yields. The cryptocurrency held steady near $84,000 after dipping to $82,500, maintaining support above May highs. Jurrien Timmer of Fidelity Investments identified a double-bottom breakout pattern with lows at $57,742 and $60,033, suggesting a potential rally to $100,000. Options traders are positioning for further gains, with the $90,000 call strike holding the highest open interest at $2.45 billion on Deribit. Despite the bullish technical setup, analysts caution that breakouts can fail and options positioning may shift quickly.

4. Some shitcoin leads DeFi rally as crypto gains despite high Treasury yields
URL: https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2026/09/29/aave-leads-defi-higher-as-crypto-shrugs-off-surging-treasury-yields
Published: 2026-09-29
Summary: Bitcoin recovered to trade at $84,170, up 0.82% since midnight UTC, while the CoinDesk 100 index rose 0.89% to 1,904.49. The decentralized finance sector led the broader market, with the DeFi Select Index gaining 5.0% as some shitcoin surged 11% on speculation of a token burn in its upcoming upgrade. This rally occurred despite the 10-year Treasury yield holding at 5.234% and the 30-year yield near a 2004 high, conditions that drove U.S. stocks lower in the previous session. Privacy tokens bucked the trend, with some different shitcoin falling 4.1% to $1,422.35 and Dash dropping 6.4% to $61.38. Futures open interest for Bitcoin slipped to 644,000 BTC, the lowest level since March 4, though funding rates returned to positive territory.

After two months I am back from where I started, but it's amazing because now I am in big profit due to a good increase in the price of Bitcoin.

Lets wait few more weeks because now I am expecting its going to be have six figures if happen its going to be big achievement for my journey into Bitcoin community.

You come off as bound to reck ur lil selfie - especially if you believe that 2 months is any kind of a meaningful timeline to be buying and/or holding bitcoin.
I have no small investment, but still I am happy because I made the right decision at the right time. Now I am going to be regular and surely going to increase my investment as well because I am comfortable about things around Bitcoin.

After clearing education now its time to start new journey with if its going to be have good future in crypto specially Bitcoin its surely going to be amazing adventure because its looking promising to me from start.

Are there any crypto HODLers left here, who live in the Netherlands?

This is the latest plan for 2028:
Wie crypto’s in zijn eigen wallet heeft staan, gaat belasting moeten betalen op winst hierop, óók als die winst nog niet is verzilverd. Dat geld moet je dus wel hebben liggen. Wie crypto’s heeft via een bank of een reguliere beleggingsrekening, betaalt vanaf 2028 alleen als de winst wordt verzilverd.
In short: if you own your Bitcoin keys, you'll be taxed 36% on the annual unrealized gains, even if you don't sell them. But if you give your coins to Blackrock, you're only taxed when you sell them!

Don’t worry about haters that will try to discourage you. Stack away friend on whatever timeline you want. Definitely don’t take advice from people who discourage stacking and sell the bottom of every four year cycle. Sounds like you’re on a good path. Keep going and good luck!
