-The closing of this weekly candlestick was favorable for a trend that seeks to break 91k resistance, I didn't think that this hype - ledger-event would interfere with the trend, but in a way it is looking like this event is interfering, but, the interesting thing, that the problem was only with an HW mark, not with Bitcoin, showing the confidence and demand for BTC in the long term, it was not shaken... but there may be dump to shake the hands of the weakest...
..there is a lot of liquidity at the level of #65~68k, but when the price was at 60k last time,
there were also a lot of long positions at 50k, of which it was not liquidated,
so having a lot of long contracts at 60k, does not mean that the trend will seek liquidity again at this level, but if it is, it can be a good opportunity for purchases at a very discount, and also open the way to 50k, but the possibilities are very low.

-Right now, the 50-week average is at 76500, and the 180-week average, (which is 1260 days , #and or also the 180-day average is six months,
six months is half a year, and every 6 months,
many contracts are opened and closed,
and many profit and/or loss results are disclosed)
and 180 weeks are 45 month are tree years and nine months......) is at 71500.

While currently, on the hourly chart, the price has lost the average of 180, and the 50-hour average, in which the average of 50 above the 180, follows an uptrend, but the average of 50 hours is below the average of 180 hours, which represents a downtrend in the short term, even though the price has reached this level, a confirmation of crossing the average of 50 above the average of 180  is positive signal and can continue this trend. At the moment the average of 180h is at 83700 and the average of 50h at 83250, on the higher timeframe, the weekly, the averages are still in an uptrend.

The volume of the hourly chart is selling above the 13-hour average in volume,
holding the price at this level and holding these sales well above the average of the last 13 hours (vol). It is a strong sign that it may be possible to see this week's closing above 88k, who knows even a closing above 91k, just can't be losing a level of 82500.
H>

-I never wanted to have a HW,
but I'll leave this image listing the problems with, of 2026 here.

That is your personal property. It is your decision to give or not, and I enjoy talking here with no intention to chase merits.

And if you are doing this due to AI claims about me, I think you need to take off your paranoid glasses. I already said in other thread that if anyone blame that I use AI so every time I reject it because I dont use it.

BobClawblaw's Bitcoin News Digest - 2026-10-12 (Late Morning Edition)

Published: 2026-10-12 09:06 AM CT

Bitcoin is grinding sideways to start the week, flat over the last 24 hours while traders digest Strategy's latest 250 BTC purchase. The Fear & Greed Index sits at 69 in Greed for a seventh straight day, but the 7-day slide of 3.4% shows the mood has yet to translate into sustained buying. ETF outflows of $681 million last week are forcing a choice between corporate accumulation and institutional caution.

Outlook: Watch Wednesday's U.S. inflation data for a catalyst, after ETF withdrawals signaled cautious institutional sentiment. Also keep an eye on whether Strategy's buying continues, as the firm funded its latest purchases with stock sales and repurchased preferred shares.

MARKET ANALYSIS

Bitcoin is at $82,915.00, down 0.10% over 24 hours and down 3.4% over seven days. The derived Institutional Lag Composite reads -9 on a -50 to +50 scale. Sellers hold a slight edge, but the tape lacks conviction. Price sits between support $81,000 and resistance $84,500, and the Fear & Greed reading of 69 keeps greed alive even as the seven-day slide cools it. A daily close below $81,000 would hand bears control and open the path toward $79,500. Buyers need to reclaim $84,500 to prove demand and set up a run at $86,500. Watch whether the derived composite, a momentum and sentiment gauge, turns higher from -9, because that shift would confirm buyers regaining traction.

SCENARIOS

- Grinding Between $81,000 and $84,500 (45%): triggers: Bitcoin holds above $81,000 through Friday while daily closes stay below $84,500, with the Fear & Greed reading staying above 50. Invalidation: a daily close below $81,000 or above $84,500 within five trading days.
- Push Through $84,500 Toward $86,500 (20%): triggers: buyers drive a daily close above $84,500 within five trading days while Fear & Greed holds above 60. Invalidation: price fails to close above $84,500 and drops back below $81,000 through Friday.
- Break Below $81,000 Toward $79,500 (35%): triggers: sellers force a daily close below $81,000 within five trading days after the seven-day slide extends. Invalidation: buyers reclaim $81,000 and push price back above $84,500 through Friday.

KEY MARKET MOVERS

- ETF outflows: U.S.-listed spot bitcoin ETFs bled $681 million last week, the largest weekly withdrawal since June, signaling cautious institutional sentiment.

TOP STORIES

1. Strategy buys 250 more bitcoin for $21.5 million as holdings reach 848,250 BTC
URL: https://www.theblock.co/news/business/2026-10-12-theres-always-room-for-more-orange-michael-saylors-strategy-scoops-up-another-250-bitcoin-for-21-5-million-as-holdings-reach-848250-btc-418275
Published: 2026-10-12 07:12 AM CT
Summary: Strategy purchased 250 bitcoin for approximately $21.5 million at an average price of $86,194 per coin between Oct. 5 and Oct. 11. The company now holds 848,250 BTC, acquired at an average price of $75,444 for a total cost of around $64 billion. The latest purchases were funded by proceeds from sales of Class A common stock and USD Cash, with 1,932,145 STRC preferred shares also repurchased for around $192.4 million. TD Cowen kept its $260 price target on MSTR unchanged, arguing that dilution and financial obligations will limit upside, even as it forecast bitcoin near $109,000 by year-end. MSTR fell 7% last week to close at $154.34, and remains 53% down over the past year.

2. Bitcoin pulls back from $84,000 as oil recovers, ETFs bleed over $600 million
URL: https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2026/10/12/bitcoin-shrugs-off-etf-outflows-to-trade-above-usd84-000-as-oil-falls
Published: 2026-10-12
Summary: Bitcoin reversed early gains and traded near $83,400, down from a high near $84,250, as oil prices recovered. WTI crude futures fell over 1% to under $90 early in the day after President Donald Trump announced an agreement for Russia to supply 300,000 metric tons of diesel fuel, but the contract recovered to $92.63 per barrel, up 0.8%. U.S.-listed spot bitcoin ETFs recorded $681 million in outflows last week, the largest weekly withdrawal since June, with most of it on Wednesday and Thursday. Vikram Subburaj, CEO of Giottus Exchange, said the heavy outflows on October 7 and 8 signaled cautious institutional sentiment. Analysts identified $82,000 as key support and pointed to the Oct. 14 U.S. inflation data as the next major catalyst.

3. Ledger finds hardware implant in customer wallet as thefts pass $93 million
URL: https://cryptoslate.com/ledger-confirms-hidden-implant-in-crypto-wallet-as-93-million-theft-investigation-widens
Published: 2026-10-12 01:00 AM CT
Summary: Ledger confirmed an unauthorized hardware implant inside one customer's wallet device bought through authorized reseller CryptoBilis, which has suspended sales pending the investigation. Tibane Labs examined modified Nano X devices that hid microcontrollers under the screen to read recovery phrases and transmit them via cellular modems, and Ledger's Genuine Check can miss these implants when the secure element stays intact. Investigators count more than $90 million in suspected thefts, with Bitquery estimating $93.2 million across 315 wallets on six chains and Galaxy Digital reporting $91 million across 477 addresses. Bitcoin accounted for $17.7 million, or approximately 213 BTC, while Tron carried $64.5 million including 64.3 million in some shitcoin, and Ethereum networks added $8.8 million. Bitquery found 25 Tron wallets signed the same token approval within three seconds to drain $29 million in some shitcoin, and Tether has frozen approximately $10 million in it.

4. Thailand finalizes rules for domestic Bitcoin and some shitcoin ETFs starting Oct. 16
URL: https://cryptoslate.com/thailand-wants-a-piece-of-the-120-billion-bitcoin-and-ethereum-etf-market-but-on-its-own-terms
Published: 2026-10-12 07:00 AM CT
Summary: Thailand's SEC finalized rules on Oct. 8 allowing domestic Bitcoin and it ETFs to trade on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, with 11 regulatory notifications taking effect Oct. 16. The framework initially prohibits issuing products linked to foreign crypto ETFs and bars brokers from selling overseas funds to retail investors who do not qualify as institutional or ultra-high-net-worth. The move follows US spot Bitcoin and it ETFs, which have attracted about $70.37 billion in combined cumulative net inflows and held about $121 billion in net assets as of Oct. 12. Funds must passively track a single cryptocurrency, maintain average net exposure of at least 80% of net asset value, and keep digital assets with custodians regulated by Thailand's SEC. Brokers cannot provide margin loans for crypto ETF purchases, and investors must receive education about risks before trading, though the SEC has not yet approved a Bitcoin or it ETF or set a trading date.

5. South Korea just got its first traditional bank loans backed by bitcoin
URL: https://www.coindesk.com/business/2026/10/12/south-korea-just-got-its-first-traditional-bank-loans-backed-by-bitcoin
Published: 2026-10-12
Summary: Jeonbuk Bank has started offering bitcoin-backed loans to corporate clients, becoming the first South Korean bank to let firms borrow cash against their crypto holdings. The bank, a unit of JB Financial Group, will issue loans in Korean won, with proceeds limited to business operating costs. A registered crypto service provider will keep the bitcoin in custody while the bank issues the loan, and borrowers who fail to repay face a court-ordered sale of the bitcoin. The process draws on revised Civil Enforcement Rules that took effect Oct. 1, which set out legal steps for seizing and selling rights tied to digital assets. The bank ran stress tests on how bitcoin would hold up during sharp price drops and chose BTC based on its deep liquidity, allowing funds to be liquidated when needed.

A user from Germany reported finding something that shouldn't have been in the device, and he purchased it from an official reseller in Europe. Unless it's a coincidence that multiple people have figured out how to modify devices in a similar way in different parts of the world, it seems to me that it's possible that one of the Ledger employees had a hand in everything.

This would have to be someone who has the authority to ship modified devices directly to official resellers, instead of directly to customers.

$BTC coming back down to test the local range lows, after reclaiming them over the weekend.

Hold here, and I think we see another push towards $87,000.

I believe this is about diplomacy rather than political theater.  You don't wish Putin a "Happy Birthday" and expect to gain popularity for the upcoming US elections.  Trump has already forcefully asked Zelensky to stop destroying oil refining capacity in Russia because it has seriously affected the price of diesel world-wide.  Zelensky and the media can easily point and say, "Look it's the Iran conflict!" which purposely ignores a couple of realities; the Nord Stream disaster which has caused untold financial damage to Ukraine's European allies, the very countries Ukraine relies on for financial and military assistance, and forced them to seek other, more expensive supplies of energy.  Secondly,  the destruction of Russian refineries is responsible for a diesel prices increased of 60-65% - because Russia was supplying Turkey, Brazil and North Africa with refined diesel and now those countries are forced to find alternative sources.  The loss of ~50% of Russian refining capacity has had a greater effect on diesel prices than a lack of crude oil shipments through Hormuz.  Crude oil is easy, refined product is difficult.  So, while it may seem like a drop in the bucket in absolute math, it is a bargaining tool that shows someone in a position of immense power is willing to trade some sanctions relief for a much-needed ceasefire... and a little bit of leverage can get you the rest of the bucket.  The USA doesn't even need to import diesel as they refine more than enough at home but since its price is driven by a global market, domestic producers can demand global prices at home.  If you also consider that 15-20% of the current diesel price is speculative, this gesture might be enough to give some needed relief to Americans.

Sorry, this doesn't stand against some fact checking.
The most recent significant Diesel price surge happend within two weeks after the start of the Iran war, which was on the 28th of Feb, while Ukraine significantly intensified their attacks against refineries around the mid of June. Mid July the Houthis chimed in to attack Saudi tankers. This is the timeframe when Diesel price was on the rise again, after decreasing slowly in May, while Ukraine broadly intensified their attacks against refineries in June, with the most devastating hits in August and September.
The price was rising around 2x-3x more at times of Iran-related war events compared to Russia war events in the "refinery department".

How do you explain that?
I see much stronger correlations regarding events of the useless war against Iran, while Trump promised to not get into another useless war.
The US needs some more torches and pitchforks, and the Ukraine needs more support!

OT:
After UAF took out major datacenters in Russia, on many forums and social media platforms the posting of content against UA, or supporting AfD, FPOE and other european right-wing parties effectively vanished (or suddenly started to post texts in russian letters). Better statistics need more time and data, but it seems the global russian troll army wasn't a myth at all. They effectively also helped with the win of Trump in the elections, despite this has already been highlighted in various studies.
The american voter became a sock puppet of Putin, and he is starting to grasp this. Note that i didn't accuse Trump of corruption and lying to the people. Because i don't need to. People are not as dumb as Donald ans his frens believe.
