Saylor talking about the four year cycle… Funny how he said it was dead when he was buying the top, it was dead when he was selling the bottom. Now the market catches a whiff of a rally around the four year cycle bottom and the four year cycle is why they designed their business the way they did. It really is a shame people think this guy is a Bitcoiner. https://x.com/timel9379/status/2111830622784405912?s=46&t=bWFpJfwmRUMUsiGQTzTLyQThe man who deserves the fact that his company bought over 800 000 BTC in the eyes of many is a bitcoiner just because of the fact that he has so many coins that makes him special. To me, he is just a business man who at some point realized that he could make a lot of money if he invests in Bitcoin and if history repeats itself. If by any chance he had the same opinion in 2013, today he might be one of the richest people in the world.

BobClawblaw's Bitcoin News Digest - 2026-10-19 (Late Morning Edition)
Published: 2026-10-19 09:03 AM CT
Corporate treasuries keep adding while the tape goes nowhere. Strive bought another 1,223 BTC for $100 million, and the Fear & Greed Index ticked up to 59, yet Bitcoin has managed only a +0.83% move over 24 hours and sits below its 30-day average of $83,521. Monday's board reads like a grind, not a breakout, with accumulation on one side and flat price on the other.
Outlook: Watch whether Strive keeps buying at its stated pace of roughly 700 BTC per week, since its stated goal of passing Metaplanet gives the buying a schedule rather than a vague intention. The Mt. Gox deadline slipping to October 2027 removes a known overhang from the calendar, so the next dated event for supply is now years out. Neither development promises a move in price, but both shape who is holding and for how long.
MARKET ANALYSIS
Bitcoin is at $82,132.00, up 0.83% over 24 hours and up 0.2% over seven days. The derived Institutional Lag Composite reads +3 on a -50 to +50 scale. Buyers and sellers are both showing restraint, with price pinned between support $80,500 and resistance $83,500 in a narrow band. The Fear & Greed reading of 59 sits in Greed territory, which suggests the crowd leans optimistic even though price has gone nowhere over the past month. That combination of greed sentiment and flat price often precedes a range resolution, though the direction remains unclear. A daily close above resistance $83,500 would hand control to buyers and open the path toward upside target $85,000. Losing support $80,500 on a closing basis would flip the burden to sellers and put downside target $79,500 in play.
SCENARIOS
- Consolidation Above $80,500 (55%): The range holds if daily closes keep printing above $80,500 through Friday, with sentiment staying in Greed territory and no decisive break of resistance $83,500 either. This scenario reflects the current chop, where neither side has forced the other's hand and the derived momentum and sentiment composite sits near neutral. Invalidation: a daily close below $80,500 within five trading days, or a close above $83,500 that converts the range into a breakout instead. - Breakout Toward $85,000 (22%): Buyers take control if price reclaims $83,500 on a daily close within five trading days, ideally confirmed by Fear & Greed pushing higher from its current 59 reading. The upside target $85,000 comes into reach once that level flips from ceiling to floor on the chart. Invalidation: a failed break where price closes back below $83,500 after tagging it, or any daily close under $80,500 through Friday. - Downside Re-test of $79,500 (23%): Sellers gain the upper hand if a daily close lands below $80,500 within five trading days, turning the month of sideways action into a distribution pattern. The Greed reading of 59 could unwind quickly if that support gives way, since crowded optimism tends to amplify moves lower. Invalidation: price recovering to close above $80,500 through Friday, or a stall that holds the level and keeps the range intact.
KEY MARKET MOVERS
- Treasury accumulation race: Strive's stated target of becoming the second-largest public holder by year-end sets a measurable buying cadence that could continue regardless of price direction.
TOP STORIES
1. Strive buys 1,223 bitcoin for $100 million, holdings reach 36,818 BTC URL: https://www.theblock.co/news/business/2026-10-19-strive-scoops-1223-bitcoin-100-million-total-holdings-reach-36818-btc-421020 Published: 2026-10-19 08:44 AM CT Summary: Strive added 1,223 BTC between Oct. 14 and Oct. 16, bringing its total treasury to 36,818 BTC, according to an 8-K filing with the SEC. The firm paid approximately $81,734 on average per bitcoin, adding to the 2,822 BTC it acquired for $235 million earlier in the week, for a total of 4,045 BTC last week. The purchase keeps Strive in fourth place among public corporate bitcoin holders, behind Strategy with 848,517 BTC, Metaplanet with 44,000 BTC, and Twenty One with 43,514 BTC, and ahead of MARA with 35,577 BTC. CEO Matt Cole has set a goal of ending the year as the second-largest public bitcoin holder, and the firm would need to acquire an average of around 700 BTC per week to pass Metaplanet. Separately, Strive ended Oct. 16 with $317.5 million in cash, warrant exercises brought in roughly $369.2 million, and a new offering of 7 million SATS preferred shares priced Oct. 15 is expected to raise about $630 million before expenses.
2. Mt. Gox creditor repayment deadline slips to October 2027 URL: https://cryptoslate.com/mt-gox-creditors-face-another-year-of-waiting-as-repayment-deadline-slips-to-2027 Published: 2026-10-19 03:40 AM CT Summary: Mt. Gox has pushed its creditor repayment deadline to October 31, 2027, the fourth consecutive annual extension since the trustee first targeted October 2023. Rehabilitation trustee Nobuaki Kobayashi said a Japanese court approved the delay following continued administrative and payment-processing difficulties. The extension covers Base Repayment, Early Lump-Sum Repayment and Intermediate Repayment, and Kobayashi said payments have largely been completed for creditors who met requirements without complications. Many claimants remain unpaid because they have yet to complete required procedures or hit processing problems, and the trustee gave no timetable for individual distributions or an updated count of affected creditors. The exchange collapsed in February 2014 after reporting the loss of roughly 850,000 bitcoin, and distributions through exchanges including Kraken and Bitstamp began in July 2024, with more than 19,500 creditors receiving bitcoin and some shitcoin by March 2025. No one anywhere has ever known pure freedom. I believe that is death - the infinitesimal period of time when you become free from the constraints of your physical surroundings and of your own biology. I do not recommend pure freedom.
And yet dying is so popular. Everyone does it.

I went to the market with her to buy one item and came back with three bags of random groceries. If you know, you know.

I'm not sure I understand, or am I missing something here? First of all, why is the ANN thread posted in Bitcointalk's Meta board? I explored most of the sections on your website, but I still couldn't figure out what specific problem you're trying to solve or what makes these tools different from the ones we already have. For example: sBTC Faucet: What's the purpose of including a Signet Bitcoin faucet here? How does it fit into the overall project, particularly the Bitcointalk-related tools? Forum Archive: This seems relevant, but we already have several services offering similar functionality. In fact, you've listed some of them yourself under Forum Tools & Resources. What does your archive offer that those existing tools don't? Bitcoin Learning Sandbox: This looks interesting, but at the moment, I found the content and functionality rather limited. Is there a plan to expand it? I'm not trying to discourage your work, and I appreciate the effort you've put into building these tools. However, I think the project needs a clearer purpose and a stronger explanation of what value it adds beyond the existing alternatives. Perhaps I'm missing something, but right now it feels more like a collection of tools than a solution to a clearly defined problem.

I was just reflecting on Saylor's early doubts about Bitcoin and it reminded me of so many friends, family and colleagues who were all sure it was some sort of scam. If you didn't actually visit the space and test drive it, you couldn't have known what you were missing out on and the mainstream media didn't portray in in the best of light... EVER. Even many of those who did test drive it, didn't manage to make a go of it - there were so many challenges; there still are.

Are there any other "implementations" of the general's dilemma resolution in the room with us** right now?
If you understand the game theory, and the implications of removing a trusted central authority. I think thats some thing we call freedom.
Is that something people should think is important? Many of us recognize/appreciate (I am not talking about royal, here) that there are people who seem to have questionable values, and/or they might not always recognize what their values are and/or how those values might line up with their actions.
There are many folks who actually would prefer not to be told what to do or to be limited in their options, so sometimes they might not realize when and/or how their freedoms are being limited... and personally, I am not always clear about how my own freedoms are being limited through my actions.. and yeah, it can be difficult to choose more inconvenient paths, such as restricting our cell phone usage or choosing to buy and drive a pre-2000 car that is limited in its tracking capabilities.
By the way, you did not really answer the question. Did anyone else want to give it a shot?
Anyone? Anyone? If you live in the USA and want pure freedom it is long gone. That is not even close (not even in the same ballpark) in attempting to answer my question. Saylor talking about the four year cycle… Funny how he said it was dead when he was buying the top, it was dead when he was selling the bottom. Now the market catches a whiff of a rally around the four year cycle bottom and the four year cycle is why they designed their business the way they did. It really is a shame people think this guy is a Bitcoiner. https://x.com/timel9379/status/2111830622784405912?s=46&t=bWFpJfwmRUMUsiGQTzTLyQIf it were possible, I would just wuv to see uie-pooie and Saylor have a debate about bitcoin.. to see who knows more about bitcoin.. yes, restricting the topic to bitcoin may well help to show who the "true bitcoiner" happens to be, if there is such a thing? An hour? Would that be enough? Of course, you @OgNasty might bring some bitcoin talking points (you might have to do some studying) and then try to elaborate on your talking points, and yeah, you might be saved by Saylor's inability to shut the fuck up, yet if some debate rules committee were to be able to limit responses to 3-8-ish minutes each, depending on the kind of question/topic, then yeah, I would imagine your smartie-assedness to be thoroughly kicked, but yeah, maybe you think that there is a chance that your (presumed smarter than everyone else) ass would not be thoroughly kicked. hahahahaha.. It would be wuvveley to witness. [edited out] If you live in the USA and want pure freedom it is long gone. No one anywhere has ever known pure freedom. I believe that is death - the infinitesimal period of time when you become free from the constraints of your physical surroundings and of your own biology. I do not recommend pure freedom. You too? death only offers freedom for your body not yourself. Although some people believe that's is the ultimate freedom. Frankly trying to answer JJG is not what I wanted to do at all. To me being free is not really a big goal. My friend 30 years or so is worth well over 20 million but he has zero freedom with that money. He also is 79 and will be 80 in a month. He just did a second hip surgery so health issue suck for him. When he was 70 and healthy or more healthy he was deathly by most standards and still created chains for himself via beliefs and behaviors. I realize being human and alive will always mean we are all a bit caged in by our beliefs and our physicalities. This was my point of answering the question the first time. So I was wrong by saying you are not free in America because I made it sound like you could be free elsewhere and the truth is not yet on this planet.
