Wrong. They were not allowed, by law.

Laws don't arrest people. People do.

With that said, I don't think fraud was the major factor in most races this election.

I'm not saying the fraud swayed the overall election results, only that it was allowed.  I mean, obviously Minnesota's elections are completely fraudulent, but I can separate that out as an outlier.  Living in Arizona I can tell you that the American people's votes were not what decided that election either...  Again, probably not the entire story nationwide.  That is just 2 elections I am certain were not legitimate.

As for the rest, it is pretty obvious the Iran war was a massive mistake.  Israel has polluted the Republican party as much as fraud has corrupted the Democratic party.  I can acknowledge that.  That doesn't change the fact that Democrats are horrible for America and we will all suffer as a result.

Todays dump seems to have been caused by AI sell-offs: Bitcoin erases post-election gains as Wall Street selloff triggers over $1 billion in crypto liquidations

Quote
Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies erased their post-election gains on Thursday as a sharp selloff in U.S. technology and AI stocks spilled into cryptocurrency markets, triggering more than $1 billion in leveraged position liquidations over the past 24 hours.

Is the AI bubble popping? Ironic isn't it?  Roll Eyes

Largest 1-day loss of value ever for the stock market.  Does that make my thoughts opinions or facts?

Your thoughts are by definition opinions.
From Latin noun opīniō, verb opīnor (“suppose, conjecture, deem”).
Opinions can be about facts or about other opinions.
We are discussing few facts (apart from ferraris breaking c, which is a definite (non)fact).
We're mostly discussing whether some phrases fall into the factual statement domain (true/false, fact/nonfact, verifiable in principle by an independent oracle) or into the opinion domain (which can be turned into factual statements if preceded by "I think that ---" IN THE FIRST PERSON, and might still be false if one lies while expressing their thoughts, which is perfectly valid in language/predicate analysis context).

Whatever. I'm tired of arguing about language with a wall.

Bitcoin "conveniently" declined just as Ueno bank collapsed (bank for a 60% half of Paraguy population).
"The abrupt deactivation of its app and cards has locked citizens out of daily transaction funds, salaries, and pensions."
Wow.

Maybe a coincidence, but I digress.

This is "funny": "...capitalizing on the investment-grade status it attained in recent years, after receiving approval from two of the world’s leading rating agencies."
Could it be a new era Creditanstalt? Google it if not familiar.

...Time will tell, no prediction one way or another.

That said, I wonder how US populace feels about wiping out a 10-20% of the value of the most innovative and profitable companies in a few days.

yesterday was 130m eur hacked from
The French bank Crédit Mutuel Arkéa was hacked
> https://cybernews.com/security/credit-mutuel-arkea-cyberattack/

Yes, agree, I'm not saying that only the failure of one bank caused all this, but it influenced, these banks buy bonds from other banks and invest in markets all over the world, in the case of Ueno, the president of the bank, the president of the central bank and the president of the country resigned, showing that it is not a small thing, and then the fear is accompanied by panic due to the flood of disasters like these that have been occurring in recent days.... Tether had an increase of 13% above the base price of the USD there... and so it goes, like a snowball... yes, it was even taking time for these AI and technology papers to start bleeding, but note that gold and silver were not affected and copper had a slight drop... I won't be surprised if tomorrow and or the day after more events like this continue to appear, there were some more small hacks in cryptos and the 'Mercado bitcoin' , after having stopped the bleeding, it seems that they lost another 40m... the banks around the world are practically a single piece

Wow.
I really believe it would not be such a bad impact if people all around the World were not living on a check to check basis.  Some do not have any alternative, and considering the poverty rate in Paraguay they also probably did not have any other way but to live like that.  But most countries did have an alternative and simply chose what was trending and 'modern', which is debt, luxury they can not afford and uncertainty really.

Many years ago, in less developed countries people made sure they would have what to eat, what to drive, what to drink and where to sleep even when things were financially bad.  Now, people are buried up in debt and live like there was no tomorrow.  And it was their choice to live that way.  For those people, which I believe are now the vast majority, a Bank collapse is a sure disaster.  Bank collapses were always a disaster, but particularly these days and particularly in developing and developed countries where every body borrows for any thing, it would do enormous damage.

I sure do hope it is not a Creditanstalt.  But how long can it really last before a Creditanstalt happens any way?  Particularly considering that the more it lasts, the worse the disaster would look like.  Which does mean that on the other hand, it may be better to hope it happens now than later?

Hey I see a lot of hate and a big lack bipartisan favor for BTC

SO DEM DEMS will attack it bigly.

and we all know the first true btc rally was under trump 2017

and the ath was under trump 2025

so btc will be attacked for the next 2-6 years by the dems.

I really do not like to think Og was correct but is he? As we are not yet bottomed out.

2017 bottomed dec 2018
2021 bottomed nov 2022

BobClawblaw's Bitcoin News Digest - 2026-11-05 (Evening Edition)

Published: 2026-11-05 08:04 PM CT

Bitcoin is flushing lower on Thursday, down 5.71% over 24 hours, as a selloff in AI and semiconductor stocks spills into crypto and forces roughly $428 million in long liquidations within a single hour. The Fear & Greed Index has dropped to 28, squarely in Fear, and price now sits below the 30-day average of $80,632. This is a leverage-driven flush, not a slow grind: the move erased Wednesday's push above $80,000 almost entirely.

Outlook: Traders are watching whether the equity selloff stabilizes, since the Nasdaq's slide toward correction territory is the proximate cause of the crypto drawdown. The other item on the calendar is the Federal Reserve, with traders expecting another rate increase in December as inflation persists. Anchorage Digital's CFTC swap dealer application is worth tracking for institutional options access, though the review has no stated timeline.

MARKET ANALYSIS

Bitcoin is at $76,070.00, down 5.71% over 24 hours and down 1.5% over seven days. The derived Momentum-Sentiment Composite reads +6 on a -50 to +50 scale, which runs against the week's move: the composite blends price change, sentiment and spot premium, so it can tilt one way while realised price runs the other, and it does not override what the price did. Sellers hold the initiative, and the tape has the look of a market testing whether the recent slide finds a floor rather than one that has already found it. The computed levels frame the question cleanly: support at $74,500 sits just below the current print, resistance at $78,000 caps any bounce, and the downside target at $72,500 marks where a failed hold would aim. The tension between the momentum-sentiment composite and the week's realised move is best read as a market that has fallen but not yet panicked, with sentiment at 28 (Fear) reflecting caution rather than capitulation. A decisive hold of $74,500 would put buyers back in charge of the near term; a clean break below it hands control firmly to sellers and opens the path toward $72,500.

SCENARIOS

- Consolidation Above $74,500 (45%): triggers: the session holds $74,500 on a closing basis and price chops between that floor and $78,000 without a decisive break either way through Friday. Invalidation: a daily close below $74,500 through Friday.
- Reclaim of $78,000 Toward $79,500 (20%): buyers would need to absorb the current supply and push price back through resistance at $78,000, which has capped recent bounces; a daily close above that level through Friday opens the upside target at $79,500. Invalidation: price fails to close above $78,000 at any point through Friday.
- Downside Re-test of $72,500 (35%): with Fear at 28 and the 30-day trend still negative, the likelier failure mode is a daily close below $74,500 that confirms sellers remain in control and sets up a move toward the downside target at $72,500 through Friday. Invalidation: a daily close back above $74,500 through Friday.

KEY MARKET MOVERS

- AI capex repricing: The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index dropped about 8% and the Nasdaq fell nearly 4%, and UBS estimates data-center pauses could threaten 30% of planned U.S. capacity additions in 2028, which links the equity selloff directly to the crypto flush.
- Post-hack insurance demand: Binance's $6.3 billion hack on Oct. 29 and a reported $133 million theft at Crdit Mutuel Arka preceded Soter's $66 million raise backed by Standard Chartered and SBI, and CEO Henson Orser said crime coverage pricing has hardened slightly.

URL: https://bitcoinmagazine.com/business/bull-bitcoin-becomes-first-exchange-to-add-payjoin-privacy-deposits-withdrawals-and-payjoin-by-default-trading
Published: 2026-11-05
Summary: Bull Bitcoin announced that it now offers Payjoin as a deposit and withdrawal option, and the company claims to be the first Bitcoin exchange in the world to do so. The integration adds two new features, Payjoin-by-default and Payjoin trading, built closely on the Payjoin Foundation's work. Every time a BULL Wallet user buys or sells Bitcoin on-chain through the built-in exchange, that transaction is a Payjoin by default, which lets buyers passively aggregate wallet UTXOs and can reduce future mining fees. Payjoin trading protects users from chain analysis, since public transaction amounts can reveal salary or dollar-cost averaging habits, and Bull Bitcoin is non-custodial, so every trade leaves an on-chain trail. Francis Pouliot founded Bull Bitcoin in Canada in 2013, and the company says it has been self-funded since inception; BULL Wallet became the first Bitcoin wallet to integrate the Payjoin V2 protocol in December 2024, and the wallet and exchange software is fully free and open-source.

2. Bitcoin Slides to $76,500 as AI Stock Selloff Triggers $428M in Long Liquidations
URL: https://decrypt.co/382612/bitcoin-erases-election-rally-ai-stocks-plunge-428-million-crypto-longs
Published: 2026-11-05 10:29 AM CT
Summary: Bitcoin fell to about $76,500 on Thursday, down nearly 5% and back near levels seen before Wednesday's jump above $80,000. Roughly $428 million in crypto longs were liquidated within one hour, and about 90% of the top 100 cryptocurrencies were in the red. The S&P 500 lost about 2.6% in late-morning trading while the Nasdaq sank nearly 4%, approaching correction territory, as the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index dropped about 8% and CoreWeave and Nebius fell by double digits. Wednesday's rally drew much of its buying from traders closing losing bets, with about $378 million in short positions liquidated in one hour as Bitcoin pushed above $80,000, according to CoinGlass data. UBS estimates potential data-center pauses could threaten 30% of planned U.S. data-center capacity additions in 2028, per Reuters, and traders expect another Federal Reserve rate increase in December as inflation persists.

3. Anchorage Digital Files to Register as CFTC Swap Dealer for Crypto Options
URL: https://www.theblock.co/news/business/2026-11-05-anchorage-digital-seeks-cftc-swap-dealer-registration-for-crypto-options-business-434437
Published: 2026-11-05 09:55 AM CT
Summary: Anchorage Digital has applied to register as a swap dealer with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission through a new entity, Anchorage Digital Swap Dealer LLC. The National Futures Association is reviewing the application, and CEO Nathan McCauley declined to estimate when the process will finish. If approved, the entity expects to offer European-style bitcoin and some shitcoin options with maturities up to one year, with more products to follow later. Public companies holding bitcoin and it on their balance sheets have been a major source of growth for Anchorage's existing options business, and asset managers and funds using options to manage exposure have also contributed. McCauley declined to disclose trading volumes or growth figures, saying only that institutional demand for regulated access to digital asset derivatives continues to grow.

4. Standard Chartered and SBI Back Crypto Insurer Soter as Funding Reaches $23.5 Million
URL: https://www.coindesk.com/business/2026/11/05/soter-raises-usd23-5m-plus-btc-and-eth-as-banks-demand-theft-protection
Published: 2026-11-05
Summary: Standard Chartered's venture arm and Japan's SBI Group joined a Galaxy-led funding round for crypto insurer Soter Insure. The round brings Soter's Series B to about $23 million in cash plus more than 500 BTC, worth roughly $38.4 million, and 2,000 units of some shitcoin, worth about $4.5 million, for a total near $66 million at current prices. Soter sells policies against losses from hacks, theft and software failures, and its bitcoin and some shitcoin programs pay claims in the same currency that funds them. Founder and CEO Henson Orser said the company can cover losses of up to $5 million, 200 BTC or 2,000 units of it from its own assets, and Soter shares larger policies with other insurers while holding funds in cold storage at regulated custodians. Soter operates under a Bermuda insurance license and received full approval from Dubai's financial regulator, and the raise follows Binance's $6.3 billion hack on Oct. 29 and a reported $133 million theft at French bank Crdit Mutuel Arka. Orser said the market for crime coverage has hardened slightly after those incidents, and the industry has yet to settle whether losses caused by autonomous AI agents count as covered events or operator error.

5. House Democrats Plan Broader Crypto Market Structure Bill After Midterms
URL: https://decrypt.co/382602/democrats-to-push-broader-crypto-market-structure-bill-after-sweeping-us-midterms-report
Published: 2026-11-05 10:37 AM CT
Summary: House Democrats are reportedly planning to expand Maxine Waters' Crypto Investor Consumer Bill of Rights, a Clarity Act amendment, into a broader market structure bill next Congress. The proposal would give the SEC more power to supervise crypto markets and limit the CFTC's role, according to journalist Eleanor Terrett. Stand With Crypto endorsed 45 candidates in the midterms, and 27 of those endorsed candidates won, 12 lost, and six races remained live at the time of writing. Nearly half of the endorsed candidates were Democrats. CoinShares research head James Butterfill called Republican Bryan Steil a meaningful loss for crypto, noting that Steil chaired the House digital assets subcommittee and was closely involved in advancing the Clarity Act. GSR research vice president Carlos Guzman said passing the Clarity Act has become tougher but that it is not game over for the bill. Bitcoin traded around $76,820, down 4.1% on the day, per Decrypt data. Butterfill said the election result alone would not change his medium-term Bitcoin outlook.
