I'm actually, legitimately, nervous. If we significantly breach $350 or $300, there's no telling how low we can go before the mass selling ends. Perhaps it's just a momentary paranoia speaking.

paranoia is driving prices...

we are doomed!
I'm fighting off the urge to cut my losses and accumulate a bit more later on. I think if we breach $360 I'll be doing that... it's hard not to. I lose money everytime I try to time downturns but this feels a bit different for some reason. Might still just hold and accumulate w/ fresh fiat if we go much lower. This paranoia isn't helping Sad

No paranoia my friend i am nervous too. But i think bitcoin will survive as technology
I believe that as well. It's the only reason I'm holding and buying on each dip at certain price points.

For the first time i'm wiring loaned money to exchange. Let's see how this turns out Cool

Maybe i'm already ruining my cash game career or my life for that matter.

Worst case scenario, i'm sure someone of you nice fellas can get me a g23 so i can blow my fucking brains out Grin (Living in sweden it's tricky to get guns)

you're not sane right now

step away from bitcoin and come back next year.

Nah I'm sane. It's just that I'm all in with my money so I find myself in a situation where I have 2 decicions to make, both which happens to be very stupid decisions.

Either I just sit this one out, not taking advantage of this terrific opportunity OR I loan money and invest them going big!

I honestly feel better going with the latter but it is a very nervewrecking thought and it's definately easier to not give a fuck and just go with the former and just sit it out.

Thoughts are welcome Grin

Here's my 2c.  Personally, I'm sitting on the sidelines.  For one, I can't drastically lower my average cost position until we find confidently find a bottom.  And so the market has to either sharply spike up, or we have to go sideways at the same price for quite a long time, a minimum of 4-6 weeks.  And we haven't done either one yet.

My other reason is simply that my ego can't take buying at a loss any more this year if we continue to drop.   Undecided

All you people that are nervous about the price going sub $300, why are you nervous? We obviously aren't going up from these levels with the selling that's going on. If we do go down further from here it would be a great buying opportunity. Also, the only way to alleviate selling pressure is to just sell all those coins. So if you ask me, crash the price, sell all those coins that want to be sold, I'll pick up a few and then we can be on our merry way.

Just like the price can't stay high forever, it can't stay low forever either (unless it goes to 0, astronomically unlikely)

No paranoia my friend i am nervous too. But i think bitcoin will survive as technology

bitcoin could easily survive as technology with price being 10$ and lower....

That's NOT really the current and/or pressing question about whether BTC can survive as a technology...  At this point, a fairly large, if NOT overwhelming majority of us, maintain a fairly high certainty that bitcoin will survive as a technology.

Currently, most of us are mauling over the ongoing price depreciation which seems to be moving contrary to the large amount of good news that we have been receiving.. and that most of us, including your truly remain fairly puzzled about what is taking so long for the upward price swing to begin.. .personally, I thought that we were going there in May/June/July time-frame, but thereafter, BTC prices suffered a trend reversal that has been going on ever since and really demonstrates a fairly intense downward trend in the last 10 months, in spite of a large amount of capital flow into various aspects of the BTC infrastructure, which would cause many to conclude that these investors, at some point (possibly in the near future) will want to receive some kind of return on their investment - which in part was likely calculated through expectations regarding BTC price movements.

Bad taste and lack of social standards.  Tongue

i prefer posts from folks with manners and intelligence.

Don't usually post over here on Speculation. Like to watch it though. Just had to comment now, as the above post made me laugh out loud. Its the second laugh I've had today - the other was when Mrs.Practical Dreamer texted me this morning whilst I was waiting in the dentists waiting room - she knows I shit myself at the dentists so she thought it would be funny to text me that I was waiting so long on account of the dentist being busy "revving up his angle grinder". It made me laugh at least - which I was thankful for at the time.

Back on topic re. current bitcoin price slump. I know it sounds sad and as if I have my head up my arse (where my opinion should also rightfully dwell) but I'm seriously thinking of trying to find a few quid (dollars for you yanks) and buying a couple more BTC at this price level.

The fundamentals are still good from where I'm sat.

Its difficult to know exactly at what price point the panic is going to be exhausted. On top of panic, it seems more than likely that the price could be being manipulated down.

Why ? How ? I don't have a clue. I'm just speculating.
