Did you know: the English suffix "-ant" (like the far more common suffix "-er") is attached to a verb to signify a person who does the corresponding action.  Thus, for example, "to claim" --> "claimant", "to defend" --> "defendant",  "to protest" --> "protestant", etc..  So, beware: every time you click on the "ignore" button, you become more ignorant.

Here's an interesting article (written from the perspective of females looking for a male partner) that suggest that 'nice guys' (or 'nice girls') don't exist; rather, everyone adapts their personality (to various extents) to the people around them and the situation at hand.  It's then up to each individual to adjust their personal behaviour and appearance to elicit the response they want from the opposite sex.

So instead of complaining about the dearth of nice guys or the abundance of douchebags, start thinking about what you can do to make then men in your life treat you the way you want. This is wonderful advice. There are no perfect men, just as there are no stupid people. There are just men who behave perfectly in a given situation and people who have done something stupid on occasion. There is no inherent essence of perfection or stupidity in either of them. Just a process and our moral judgement of the process. I suspect this has something to do with the structure of our language(s), wherein we describe people as nouns (a static, permanent, object), instead of verbs (something dynamic and changing). So yeah, don't try to find the perfect man/woman. Instead, work hard and be conscious of behaving in ways which will inspire the striving for perfection in others.

Bad for BTC.   BTC wouldn't have increased by 100x during the 2008/2009 recession.  People have less wealth (and a greater probability of losing their job), then they are less likely to take risky investments.

Basically what I am saying is that you usually only have three choices:
1) Steal a girl away from some other guy (a little dangerous, and if the girl will trade up to you, she will also likely trade up from you).
2) Take a homely girl, give her a makeover and take her to the gym. This is a lot of work and she can dump you for another guy after you made her hot.
3) Have insane hot sex with the crazy ones and then kick 'em to the curb sticky broke and confused.

Obviously I prefer method three.

There still has to be more to the story than that.  Few of us who are active in this forum subscribe to what I refer to as the "balls to the walls" method of investing.   

So even if you hunch about shroomie / riiiiising is correct- Recall when the price dipped from mid-$600s to lower $500s, Shroomie had turned into a psycho bear for a short period and then he claimed to have sold and then bought back at $500... that kind of behavior would truly affect a person's buy in average.... and it would NO longer be factually accurate to claim that you went all in at $1,100, when your buy-in average has been lowered by subsequent behavior.... IN other words, lying by omission.

My dating/relationship advice is try okcupid. Scientific dating powered by statistics.  You answer hundreds (or more) of questions to find a compatible match.  It isn't perfect, but lets you eliminate a lot of bad choices.
