in the beginning of all this when everything was looking bad and you could see a new FUD topic in this board every 5 minutes price only went down to $930ish and jumped back up to $950 and became stable, there is no way it can go as low as $900 at this point.

and although i disagree with your term of calling it on glass legs, i think it may stay volatile for a while but certainly not as much as you think...

i see the price is recovering quickly heading to $1000 again, $1000+ should be hit very easy after chinese will fix their problem with their exchange

it is a bit disappointing to see the bitcoin becoming a pump and dump scheme so easy to be manipulated according to the interest of speculators. How could I recommend this option to invest when its value can oscillate so much in a couple of days?

but this isn't something new it was always like, imho it's not about manipulation it's because the marketcap is very low, only few people use bitcoin worldwide, you have an estimate 1 million versus 7 billions still missing, and  this can make the value fluctuate a lot

There is absolutely no confidence when the price sits above the $1000 mark, which is exactly the reason we will continue to see the price hover below and above $1000 for a longer while.

If you know how to exploit these market movements, then I say go for it and ride the market while people remain uncertain about what to do or think.

For now I don't see much reason for the price to take a dive all the way to $900 in the coming days/weeks as I believe $950-$1050 will be the range. I personally keep holding. No cashing out, no buying back.

If we see a crawl up to perhaps $1050, I'm defintry cashing out some. Liquidating around our last high seems like a smart move right now. I'll definitely try to buy the dips more now but that drop from $1080 was quite a shock for me.

China no longer has real impacts on Bitcoin -- we growing too big.  

Amazingly, bitcoin price could get back to $1000 in just 2 days, yes it's usual (for some) as bitcoin always through these fluctuations.
I like the idea of China no longer, due to other countries hold big portion of bitcoin now and bigger trading volume, looks like coinbase on the lead exceed China exchanges. We're not growing too big yet, but spread widely I guess which make $1000 become new level in this year.

I can only see going up from here, I think the bad press PBOC released had passed now and in the coming month when the 2 big exchange of china lift the BTC suspension, Bitcoin price will somehow increase.  Aside from that, the hopeful wishes of Bitcoin enthusiast for the approval of ETF.  I just hope it is not declined because it will somehow pull the price of BTC down.

We had about 10 days where price was above 1000$. Now being seen price at 900$, i think its the best time to but as much as you can because the price will surely rise over 1000$ and your investment always save in bitcoins.
Bitcoin is the only investment which everyone can grantee that it is 100% safe.

well i don't know if it is ignorance of not checking the price or you are actually looking in a wrong place!
but we have been seeing $1000 for a while now (to be exact 1 day of $998 to $1007) and price never fell to $900 as you put it, it went to $930 for a second and came back up to around $950-960

and also your last statement is what i disagree with. it is not 100% safe to invest in bitcoin. i am sure bitcoin will rise but it is never 100% certainty.

It seems that Chinese don't want the price of bitcoin to remain over 1000$ that's why whenever we think now it is new floor then dump happens. In this situation little investors are really scared because of 100$ going up and downs that we saw second time in one month time. I will wait and see before buying more.

That is in fact the truth ,whenever the price breaches the thousand dollar mark the Chinese will come up with some FUD news or the other to disrupt the price of bitcoin and if you check the charts when ever there was a dip in price there was a news coming out from China and i am really impressed with the recovery in both situations this year and i hope it is a good sign because normally it would take a longer time for the recovery.

Somehow this current price make me happy, every dip to buy, getting decline is better than keep climbing.
I hope we can buy more bitcoin at cheaper price such as $700-800 . It will give an opportunity for new users and investors to purchase bitcoin and we will start to rise again.

I'm sure a lot of people do not like when such an event occurs, but the upside is that it will be easier for Bitcoin to reach the oversold condition after that, and then Bitcoin will be able to climb again stronger and at a more organic pace.

only those who have recently bought bitcoin would dislike a drop. because when you look at the overall change of price, it has always been rising except the times when there is a bubble, or mini bubble and it bursts.
the rest are always happy because when you buy at least a month and more back you are still in profit and can think more clearly and see the future rise.

I recently bought back in after the drop and it still hasnt really recovered past what i bought it at since i had to pay over spot in order to buy any but if we had a big drop i cant say i would be too bothered. I bought a little because we had a small drop, If we got a big drop then chances are i would splash out and buy a good bit more. No matter what price i buy in at i think its expensive but its all relative to whatever todays prices are.

well there are two things that you have to remember when trading bitcoin, first one is that when you are trading bitcoin in short term like this, sometimes it is best to open up some orders below the market price based on the speculation that you make and think price will hit and wait for them to fill up.
second is that in a rising market where price is always going up overall you don't have to worry about short term mistakes when buying bitcoin. it will always be worth more.

Yes range bound is being witnessed still these sustaining prices may bridge to another big rally.

Many bitcoiners are still believing $1000 levels as a big resistance (in their terms it is "big targets") that is the reason we got struck into a range bound. But we can expect this circular movement to break at any time with a support some news, so obviously it is time to buy back more.

If that had really happened, I talk about losing China which is not yet the case, the price would fall more than 50%, and possibly yes, the rest of the world could  substitute such volume, but who guarantees that the same thing that happened there does not happen elsewhere, in general a much greater fall would be expected if that was the case, especially while some things are reorganized.

Is a nice time buy some more. The hollydays are about the end and the volume will raise a lot. Also in less than one month the chinese will be able to withdraw funds and China buys will continue. At this point, every time the price touches sub 900, it is a good time to buy not to sell bitcoins. Since there has been a few weeks now that the price is bouncing from 900-1000, I will sell at 1000+ and buy when it touches 900+. It has been profitable that way for a few days for me now. I just hope I will not be on usd when bitcoin starts pumping its way to 1500 or higher.

I'm in dollars waiting for a drop, but this is funny i'm on loss now. BTC has strong will to rise up. I didn't made good decisions, i started to panic and this is my punishment now. If you want to trade on BTC-e don't listen btc-e trolls.
