how do I buy bitcoins I am from Canada if that makes a difference

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

you can. buy from ebay, buy from mtgox.com, buy from bitstamp.net, otherwise u can buy from some sellers here at your own risk

I said it's less expensive doing a wire for big amount of money like 2K+ and I mentioned it's slow but if you send 10K+ it might well worth the wait. |
