I got scammed on my first purchase so good rep, escrow, or you send first required. I can send copy of receipt for MP purchased today and a pic of the card showing the code has not been scratched yet.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Are you near San Diego County, CA, or have you ruled out all the traders on localbitcoins.com (not just local anymore)?

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.
