Well - I responded to Titanbtc offer - and was hoping to go thru their website (which now seems to be not quite fully functional ?) - do you know what's going on there ?
Thx,
a.h.

They're sold out of their 2016 issue, I believe they have BTC0.1 rounds coming out for 2017 soon but I don't know about BTC1

Your best bet is to make a new thread to see if anyone has a BTC1 available for sale - this thread isn't the place

I suppose all your coins are sold out for a long time already? Are you planning on releasing any new version any time soon?

We do still have these 2016 coins left in stock, and we'll have a 2017 0.1BTC coin coming soon.  PM sent.

are you price discovering by releasing small amounts of the 2017 coins in private and watching auctions happen?

i would like to have a answer from Titan Bitcoin representative.

couple years ago i bought 2 factor coin and recently decided to redeem actual bitcoins from it. i did everything required and got message that withdrawal successful. several hours later there are no coins on my address. i wrote an email to guardians@titanbitcoin.com as it was prompted.
no response. i went to official website and wrote a message via contact form. no response either.

i went to check value page and found out that my coins are still on attached address. so my question is: how can i get my coins?

and why don't you answer customer queries?

I believe all coins are supposed to be funded, but they are sent unfunded and the buyer has to "activate" them to have them funded. So coins that were lost in transit have never been funded. There's a post about it here, and apparently about a dozen of these "lost" coins exist.

You can check the coin here: https://www.titanbtc.com/verify/

I would be very suspicious because the Titan coins have been faked a lot.

Hi Hox,

Thank you very much for this information and for reference this is the listing I bumped into.

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F202468272602

I was cautious on if it is was genuine or not as I can’t recall Titan Mint ever selling unfunded coins and wanted to raise it in the collectibles section.

Veezy.

Thanks for posting the link. Ignore everything I said above, these appear to be genuine. Someone with the same username posted a thread here a while ago and TitanBTC comfirmed they were a reseller.

Tim from TitanBTC has offered to restore peeled coins. I find this to be against everything collectible.

2) Restored coins. Tim the president of Titan Mint is willing to restore these coins and reload them with a new hologram and load a bitcoin onto them. Price for the restored coins will be $100 over spot gold + the BTC price currently $8173 per coin plus shipping. These restored coins will be loaded only with bitcoin and will not have any of the multiple fork coins BSV, BCH, ect that have branched off over the years.

I don't think coin makers should do this.

I understand your concern.  To clarify, anyone purchasing the reloads of these coins are not getting "new mintage".  We are not increasing the number of coins in existence for these.

The reloads will retain the existing production number but are getting a new public/private key pair and a new certificate of authenticity. The reloads will show authenticity on the Titan website, just the same as the original.

These represent a significant percentage of the mintage for these two coins, which is why I am open to uniquely accommodating this sale.  The holograms' authenticity and their intact status is the primary security for these coins (I have yet to see a hologram replica of our coins).  These holograms will show the first digits of their public key, and still link to a page verifying they are authentic and linking to the blockchain transaction that funded them.

Because of the added security that comes with the extra layer of authenticity verification, I don't think this is actually leverage for fresh scammers to gain any advantage but I may not be fully understanding your perspective.

It's weird you're in the Collectible business and don't understand that over time these intact coins become more rare due to a lot of them being peeled. The long term holder's coins grow in value as they have risked leaving the bitcoin on the coin (are we going to hit $0 tomorrow) in the hopes that others with weak hands have peeled their coins. Normally you have unpeeled/peeled but now for maybe the first time ever in this space we are supposed to price in some "used to be peeled but aren't no more?" coins?

There's nothing wrong with an unpeeled and a peeled secondary market. This "restoring" you are offering is absolutely an unnecessary service provided by your company. Your coins are damn near one of the highest/most prolifically faked collectibles coming out of China. You open up an extra attack vector and the only person that loses is the people that have trusted your coins for this long.

To me this looks like a cash grab. You take your money made from reholo'ing these and the people holding the original coins pay the price. Christmas lookin real good this year kids, Daddy's got a new job.

I'm merely accommodating one of Titan's larger wholesale customers and helping with their resale effort.  Not a cash grab.  I'm just as happy (happier) if they sell as peeled.

I do understand the increased long term value of the unpeeled coin.  In this case, my thinking was that because the collectible community has been asking for these coins, and there are none available for sale, this would be an opportunity for new owners who never had a chance to own these coins before (or even an awareness that they existed).

Generally more awareness creates more value on the second market.  Hence, I believed it would be appreciated by the community that some coins which were never made available to the public were now being sold.  That's why I offered to reload these.

I'll take your perspective into consideration though, and if it seems to be how most current owners feel we will just offer these as "peeled".

Personally I love the titan coins you make Tim.

A suggestion would be to let this go, and maybe make a new 2020 run of a gold coin with a new design/holo etc, as there may be some interest in that.

Re-working a peeled coin opens up a large can of worms IMO.

If a buyer of a peeled coin wants to load some BTC on it, they can always have it as a DIY one with a random holo that they like, unrelated to your company and something that wont be searchable in the Titan lookup database, and would not cause any confusion on future sales or re-sales of existing coins.

Simply put, if someone loves the gold coin, then by all means let them buy it as is, peeled. If they feel the need to load it with some crypto, so be it.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks!

You can buy as many as you want of the gold 2014 from the seller.

Tim and his company don't need to be involved in that sale.

Thanks!

Hmmm

"RE-Pressing" coins.

Not sure I'm a fan tbh. Just feels a bit ... off.

In the world of Collecting, they will always be a 2nd rate item compared to the Original.
Is it worth it?
