Please, stop making useless clones of bitcoin and litecoin without any clear-cut idea. Especially with premine. It sabotages all cryptocurrencies and do not give anything to community. Currency without real or virtual market, without purchasing power and even without at least 2 exchanges is not currency! It's a crock!

The market will decide which are good and which are not--not a bunch of pundits posting on a forum.

Selling scamcoins is like selling magic beans. Just because some sucker will buy them doesn't mean it's the right thing to do.

It sabotages all cryptocurrencies

Those other currencies have a pretty serious vulnerability if they can be taken down in this way.

(I would disagree that they are sabotaged at all.  Bitcoin's value until recently was on a continuous upswing, and it didn't crash due to proliferation of alternative cryptocurrencies.)

Yeah... everyone is way too quick to adopt new ALT currencies IMO.

There have been like 2-3 new ALTs every month. At this rate, some of these guys will need to have 100+ wallets installed.

There is a point where it is just too much. I'm all for new ALTs, I just wish they would use their brain a little more and actually improve on old coins instead of just copying them.

Most of them will be dead in a few months anyways..

IMO there should be a larger community effort towards a modified and improved scryptcoin. I am willing to use my limited knowledge on the topic and researching skills to contribute.

Nothing wrong with holding a little bit of everything in case they become popular/valuable for some reason or another...

Alt mean alternative. Alternative to what? To bitcoin? Don't make me LOL. Name at least one currency which can:
1. grow up from less than $0.01 to $260
2. can be used for purchasing legal and illegal goods, including guns, ammo and drugs. But not only!
2.1 On bitcoins you already can buy software, games, sporting food.. You can buy even a pizza or rent a cab.
3. can be compared with real gold by marked specialists.
4. What the hell? What exactly you miss in bitcoin and litecoin?
But the scammers like Real Solid kills trust to any crypto currency.

If the coin isn't strong enough to withstand fly-by-night-flash-in-the-pan alt-coins then that is the coin's problem.

If a coin is truly strong enough to stand on it's own it will stand strong no matter how many alts are made and people will use it as an example in reference to how alt-coins could be better or don't compare. There should be no fear of alt-coins for a crypto which is truly strong enough to stand on it's own.

funny thing is.. most all non-bitcoiners think bitcoin is a scam anyway..

all cryptocurrencies are basically the same thing.. some internet only computer based made up 'thing' that somehow people are willing to pay for.

I just happen to believe more than most people in the world that it is a useful 'thing'.

ALTs live and die by community support. It is the people who decide if any 'clones' will stick around. Even if a coin doesn't bring anything new to the table by itself, if people decide to build services around it then it is inherently more valuable.

we need to get MC2 up and running.  It's going to be a CPU launch coin which will be very fair for early adopters.  And MC2 is legit and a new idea for an alt currency. (Except now its getting full of offers to be those wonder coins)

Wondercoins
-do something useful
-ip address
-all those wacky ideas
