Newbie hardware question

Hi All.

I have had interest in crypto currency for a while and have some time on my hands to jump in and to build myself a little rig and see what's what.

So far (I think) I have decided to build a rig with 3x Sapphire Radeon RX 480 Nitro+ 8192MB GDDR5 cards, maybe one more if it fits in the budget. Any alternatives would be appreciated.

I have a case pretty much sorted. Having done a bit of reading it seems the CPU and RAM are pretty irrelevant for GPU mining (which makes sense)

Would one of you be so kind and offer some suggestions to which motherboard and CPU combo would be sensible to go for? RAM is pretty easy to figure out and so is the SSD for the rig. Preferably a board that supports 6 GPU's.

I am UK based, so if anyone does have any suggestions, with prices, please quote in £.

Take a board with at least 4 x PCI-E x16,
something like BioStar Z170,
or maybe s.t. similar Z270 based.

Depending on what you wanna mine,
it might be better 2 use an i3-6100
compared 2 a G-4400.

Do not try 2 save money at the PS - EVGA 850 gold or better should do the job.
