What's going on? It looks like I just got ripped off 100+BTC from MtGox. I put in some high prices sell orders just to keep them safe and then I log in this morning to find two transactions to the following address. 1PYrg3rujFzuczePRwdW8RV27s5cbRU1hE Can anyone help with understanding why this happened? Here's the other interesting thing, they were irregular amounts: 06/16/11 05:39 Withdraw BTC 1PYrg3rujFzuczePRwdW8RV27s5cbRU1hE -48.6 06/16/11 05:38 Withdraw BTC 1PYrg3rujFzuczePRwdW8RV27s5cbRU1hE -51.546 http://blockexplorer.com/address/1PYrg3rujFzuczePRwdW8RV27s5cbRU1hEI posted this to Reddit as well to let it be known. If there's a flaw in their security then we should at least get an update about it.

I run a Mac and Xubuntu on all my machines and I'm pretty confident I secure them well. I just want to know why it happened.

Im worried that mtgox isn't secure. With such a quick rise in value from a magic card trading site, i'm sure they are a big target for attacks.

I have this same worry, if its not related to hacking user/pass but some easy backdoor letting these hackers into the site itself.
I dont know if if someone is keeping tally of different accounts until the users get more than xbtc then hit them, thus anyone could be compromised but only monitored for now.
Hopefully all these stolen funds would be responded by from mtgox cause this isnt stopping.

Im not concerned about securing my own systems, what worries me is the BTC on mtgox and if their servers aint secure (not refering to someone getting my u/p from my machine somehow)
I really hope this is all just user errors or local machines getting hacked for account details and not MTGOX having some backdoor directly open to all accounts.
Thats my main concern.

I haven't seen any of these issues yet with Tradehill? Has anyone else?, It seems like only MT Gox is being targeted for some reason???

Probably a good time for everyone to check for malware, change their mtgox password, and probably transfer any large BTC balances to a secured wallet.

I don't know for sure. I submitted a ticket with MtGox this morning but I've not gotten any contact from them yet.
