Since you have form a new team, why not start a new coin or a new beginning, like peepcoin which other members tried to relaunch but failed because of the scam accusations attach to it,people who earlier trust this coin will have second thought trusting it again, especially if they lose huge money.

Thank you for your input, Robelneo.

We did in fact discuss this at great length and although I know nothing about the peepcoin situation, we decided that transparency was far better than shoving the problem under the carpet and moving forward with a new coin. Doing so would have risked other peoples money even more by trying some trickery to save our funds and perhaps most important of all at this point, is to note that; we are not taking anyone's "new" money. There is no ICO... There is only trading on the exchange. Once people feel good about what is happening, trading should start again.

With that said, it should also be known that even though this project is a recovery so that (hopefully) none of us lose money, it is also stage 1 of a larger coin project, with a new coin and a powerful concept that Borzalom and I have realized is desperately needed in the crypto world.

In the mean time, we are first of all fixing the blockchain of XBY and secondly, debating the coins purpose.

Hope that helps!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

A quick update:

Borzalom is making some great progress with some changes to the Bitmox code and will be testing during these days.

Something else we have been discussing is to ask anyone concerned to help us in coming up with a NEW name for XBY.

I don't think anyone will argue that Bitmox is a rather odd name that cannot be marketed very easily. However, it was also stated previously that we do not want to change the coin because this will not be beneficial to any of the investors when it comes to the listing. So, what we are thinking is to change the Bitmox name, but leave the XBY as it is. Obviously this is a transparent undertaking and we would love to get some ideas from the field.

My idea is to try to make something out of the "nearly unusable" XBY and I came up with the following:

Xtra
Block
Yotta

So we can call the project: Yottabits, Yottabytes or Yottablocks and we are in fact bouncing around the idea of a storage coin. So, YottaXtraBlocks is the idea... Yotta being a very large measurement of data for those who do not know. In fact, 1 yottabyte = 931,322,574,615,000 gigabytes (931 trillion)

We look forward to your input and additional suggestions!!

Thank you!

My best wishes for the success of this project.

Thanks.

Aarell, thank you very much for your participation. You may have uncovered what will be the name of our project. Great Thinking!!

XtraBYtes seems as though it may be the name set in stone by destiny a few months back. Smiley Who would have thought we would be here today, extracting from the letters XBY a word that perfectly defines where this project is headed.

However, we are not going to arbitrarily make this decision and would still like to hear further input from anyone with an interest in where we are taking this coin. But, in my opinion and also Borzalom's, XtraBYtes has moved to the top of the list of new names for XBY.

So, I think it is safe to say we now have 3 votes for XtraBYtes

Please read this topic before comment. If you think you have been scammed, report it. Let me know the scammer’s profile name and any other details. If you don't scammed then please don't feed the trolls!  Thank your understanding.

Bitmox is a terrible name. If we keep the XBY ticker then i think the XtraBYtes good fit to this project and the feature's plans of this coin.

XBY will only be sold through C-CEX. So the cost will be whatever the market dictates.

Please expect an update within 12 hours from me regarding the progress.

Thank you!

Today's update will be delayed for a bit. I have it written but need to be sure I have correctly interpreted what Borzalom has explained to me. This therefore means I need his "green light" before I post. Please stand by, I am waiting for him to get back to me with the approval.

Thank you for your understanding. The update will be posted ASAP.

Thank you all for you comments and support of the XBY Recovery Project. Anyone contributing opinions and comments here is welcome and appreciated. We all do prefer positive posts though, since as anyone who starts at the top of our thread will know, we were all scammed by the original Bitmox developer/scammer.

HOWEVER!!

As each day passes and I see the progress Borzalom, our NEW Lead Programmer and Official Developer is making, it makes me a bit more excited and optimistic. This is not just in hopes to get my investment back either. This project is going to become something where our coin will start to gain some real value on the exchange.

In my communications with Borzalom today and yesterday, we decided it was time for an update, so here it is...

Achieved Milestones:

1.) We shared the original Bitmox code so anyone could review it and see the flaws.

2.) We disable the Proof of Stake coding, which meant that nobody owned coins and all the coins were instead in the form of tokens in your C-CEX accounts.

3.) We made an agreement with C-CEX to put XBY in maintenance mode, which allows for trading but does not require a monthly minimum (to avoid delisting). This has been agreed to remain as such until the code repair is completed.

4.) We collected all the deposits from the original Bitmox blockchain with the co-operation of C-CEX (Now we know there are a total of 650 million XBY and they are all on C-CEX)

Details from c-cex communication:

[7:30:02 AM] Borzalom: <<< found him

Borzalom reviewed these deposits and found them all in the blockchain. This is all the used emission, but the coin emission was different.

https://github.com/borzalom/bitmox/commit/a0e41cbc22950a3595ee581e4d41bca09902bdd1 You see here in the code there were 9 890 000 000 coins emissioned

Borzalom then changed the code and limited XBY to 650.000.000 million coins (this is what existed [were real] on C-CEX).

5.) We then hard forked the XBY blockchain.

6.) As it stands, there are no miners and Borzalom came up with the bright idea to write a Proof of Signature (POSign) mining algorithm. This is now being tested and he will make some final changes to this part of the code.

This is a unique idea and code creation that Borzalom implemented to ensure the stability of XBY. What this means is that over the long term, when miners come, POW will be available and any time a miner may not be available, the POSign will complete the normally abandoned blocks and not hold up the blockchain.

Additionally, XBY will use a unique system to pay the miners. There are ZERO rewards for the miners, but there will be a HIGH FEE of 100 XBY per transaction. So, when a miner completes the block, the miner gets the 100 XBY/transaction and when the POSign completes the block, the 100 XBY/transaction goes to a special "community" address.

The way the community address ( BLocksFEE4ProofofSignatureXXYF3VQ3 ) will work is yet to be determined. We will be asking the community to vote on this also. But for now, nobody has access to these coins because nobody has the signature to spend them. They are controlled only by the software and as it stands, Borzalom does not want to change this. My guess is that he will create something transparent that is either automated for spending by the software or a multi signature system will be implemented to ensure the community is happy how we spend the coins. Again, we will all vote on this.

Notice:

If any other developers (or anyone who understands) would like to review the code and post any required FIXME! remarks, we would appreciate that. Then, Borzalom will fix these additional small problems (if there are any) and the XBY code repair will be complete.

Borzalom thinks he will be finished by the end of this week. So far in testing, he has; sent and received coins in the closed network and no big problems were found. The nodes were synchronizing each other, transactions were accepted and everything worked fine.

In closing, in the words of Borzalom; If anyone found a bug then I will repair. Of course more developer better code.

He is the man!!

Thanks for reading and being part of our new XBY Community.

Yes, you can buy XBY on C-CEX @ https://c-cex.com/?p=xby-btc. It is open for trading but in maintenance mode while we fix the code.

There has not been any discussions about a swap thus far.

Thank you and have a great day!
