Below are some sample images we are playing with for our XBY project. If anyone would like to contribute additional ideas, please share!

Thank you

Nice graphics, difficult to choose between 2nd and 3rd. Can go with 2nd one as it has coin name in it. Great work done.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Thank you, Aarell Smiley

The images are samples and I am sure there will be more from our camp and perhaps another contributor will share something for us to choose from soon?? Cheesy

Also, we have not officially named the coin yet. There has not been any further input regarding this and XtraBYtes is looking as though it will prevail but I just wanted to point this out so the community knows we are still open to suggestions and MORE VOTES would be appreciated.

As a general rule, there are usually 2 images for a coin. One is designed as a logo for websites and the other is designed to be round, like the 3rd one for purposes such as the "about" section of the coin and also for the wallets graphical interface.

Speaking of wallets: Borzalom is making progress here also and some testing was done this week.

Any bounty campaign like signature campaign, social network campaign etc???
I want to joined. thanks

Hello Judyrob,

Welcome to the XBY community!

I personally do not know anything about these types of campaigns. That said, I think anything to help get more exposure is advantageous to everyone. However, I will assume there are rewards for such a thing and those rewards are coins...?

This can happen but it would require donations from the community because there are ZERO additional XBY coins being produced. At this point, we do not even really have the ability to move the coins around because ALL the coins are in C-CEX wallets (on the exchange) and there are currently no XBY wallets available to transfer out to.

So, perhaps it is best to keep this on the back burner and open to discussions because I would be willing to donate if there is sufficient support from others to do the same and we could certainly create some sort of campaign.

In the mean time, XBY is still available for 1 satoshi per coin on C-CEX. https://c-cex.com/?p=xby-btc

Thank you for your input!

XBY NAME CAMPAIGN

Below are parts of the initial name change posts:

A quick update:

Borzalom is making some great progress with some changes to the Bitmox code and will be testing during these days.

Something else we have been discussing is to ask anyone concerned to help us in coming up with a NEW name for XBY.

I don't think anyone will argue that Bitmox is a rather odd name that cannot be marketed very easily. However, it was also stated previously that we do not want to change the coin because this will not be beneficial to any of the investors when it comes to the listing. So, what we are thinking is to change the Bitmox name, but leave the XBY as it is. Obviously this is a transparent undertaking and we would love to get some ideas from the field.

My idea is to try to make something out of the "nearly unusable" XBY and I came up with the following:

Xtra
Block
Yotta

So we can call the project: Yottabits, Yottabytes or Yottablocks and we are in fact bouncing around the idea of a storage coin. So, YottaXtraBlocks is the idea... Yotta being a very large measurement of data for those who do not know. In fact, 1 yottabyte = 931,322,574,615,000 gigabytes (931 trillion)

We look forward to your input and additional suggestions!!

Thank you!

Hi,
Yottabytes or Yottabits will be good.
Xtra Yottabits or bytes.
My best wishes for the success of this project.

Thanks.

Aarell, thank you very much for your participation. You may have uncovered what will be the name of our project. Great Thinking!!

XtraBYtes seems as though it may be the name set in stone by destiny a few months back. Smiley Who would have thought we would be here today, extracting from the letters XBY a word that perfectly defines where this project is headed.

However, we are not going to arbitrarily make this decision and would still like to hear further input from anyone with an interest in where we are taking this coin. But, in my opinion and also Borzalom's, XtraBYtes has moved to the top of the list of new names for XBY.

So, I think it is safe to say we now have 3 votes for XtraBYtes

Creating a VOTE deadline...

As it stands, we have 3 votes for XtraBYtes

Choices:

1. XtraBYtes

2. Leave as Bitmox

3. Other (please write your preferred name)

The vote deadline is March 21, 2017

Thank you for your input!

OK, so I see we need to spend a bit more time on this vote.

If you are going to vote for BITMOX, please also provide a valid reason which must also include how you feel the ticker symbol XBY relates with the name Bitmox and how you intend to bring a marketable image to the crypto world with the Bitmox coin name.

Otherwise, your vote will be considered a joke and discarded as SPAM.  Roll Eyes

Thank you!

Why not set up a poll for your coin name Bitmox should be discarded, remember the old name still show up in Google because Google indexed all post coming from Bitcointalk, searches might land in that thread so better leave it and come up with a better one.

Thank you for your input and suggestions, Aioc!

We will definitely start an entirely new thread once we finish officially naming the coin. For now, we are getting organized under the current thread and giving everyone an opportunity to voice themselves, rather than arbitrarily making decisions that others may be offended by if we don't do this openly, as a collective.

Regarding a Poll... What do you suggest?

I don't know how to set that up, but I am sure if it would be helpful to the group and you were willing to assist, everyone would be thankful.

Otherwise, I can openly say that Borzalom and myself were discussing several uses of the XBY blockchain before the name XtraBYtes was brought up by Aarell and those uses involved storage, among several other very interesting things we cannot mention yet. This is why I came up with the name Yottabytes... But, XtraBYtes is quite frankly the perfect name for XBY because it fits with the ticker and it's future description. So, we will push for this name and hope that people do not go against it.

Thanks again!

XtraBYtes is a good name and much easier to remember and it has no bad reputation attach to it compare to the old Bitmox so I prefer  XtraBYtes, but does it already has a ticker,it's much more hard to find a uniques ticker than a name .

Bitmox NEWS Release and RECOVERY

Original Bitmox Threads:

Bitmox announcement thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1742688.msg

Screenshot of the original topic before being deleted:
https://s17.postimg.org/qpxs7o5a7/XBY_ANN.png

Bitmox scam warning thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1742783.0;all

Who is Borzalom (me)?

I'm a cryptocoin developer who, perhaps like you, invested in Bitmox. After seeing we were scammed, I decided to initiate the creation of a real community for Bitmox. I believe that if I repair the source code and we rebuild the node network, this coin can become a success.

Why?

1.) The Bitmox source code is public
2.) There are many Bitmox investors
3.) We are already listed on an exchange (C-CEX)
4.) I'm a real person and a real developer
5.) After the ICO scam, we are making everything transparent and clean
6.) The coin can be purchased very cheap

So, after the investors seemingly lost their BTC to the Bitmox ICO scam, this is an option to recover from big losses.

Milestones:

(completed) Warning sent to C-CEX
(completed) C-CEX understood and will help with what we need
(completed) Published the source code
(completed) C-CEX switched the coin to maintenance mode
(completed) Recoverd the original blockchain
(in progress) Reviewing all transactions and remove the fake coins

(next steps)
Publish the results of review
Repair the source code
Hard fork the coin
Begin mining
Create a Blockchain explorer
Restore withdrawals and deposits
Create a new development plan

From this point, I want see who else is willing to contribute some efforts before I invest more time.

It is my pleasure to announce that the XBY Bitmox recovery campaign has just taken another positive step.

As the NEW Lead Programmer and NEW Official Developer of the NEW Bitmox, I would like to welcome to the TEAM, CCRevolution as the Head of Marketing. Additional information will follow as we continue to strategize how we will relaunch BITMOX.

Why do you start based on a failed coin?

Why do you start based on a failed coin?
It is better to develop a new one.

Thank you for your suggestion, Xlcus. However, I will debate you:

1. This is NOT a failed coin, it is a recovery from a SCAM operation. We are doing everything possible to actually make this coin work, rather than just accept that someone STOLE our money.

To make an analogy, this would be like buying a car... In your statement, you claim that the car is not good because it has been in an accident and we are trying to repair the damage. However, the truth is that the car has not been in an accident, it has in fact never left the parking lot of where it was purchased. The truth is that the car only had the shell and wheels and looked pretty, but there was no engine or transmission and the seller never intended there to be anything other than just a shell and wheels to trick people into paying for the car.

2. Better to develop a new one?

This may be a valid statement, however it entails accepting that it is OK for people to steal from others in this industry and therefore indirectly endorsing scam coins. Well, Borzalom and myself disagree with this and perhaps others will follow suit and also make it so that the scammers do not get away with stealing peoples money in the future.

Developing a new coin, rather than putting the engine and transmission into XBY is a great way to piss off perhaps 100's of people and further give this industry a bad rap... We do not believe in this and feel that even though it may be easier for us to focus on one of our NEW COIN ideas... We are far better served to complete this mission first.

One thing that can be done is that the exchanges can start putting an escrow on the accounts of the developers of new coins and thus preventing withdrawal or transfer of BTC for a specified period of time. This would be a fast way to end new coin scams.

Thank you for your participation!!
