Bitcoin core for me. Even though the full block data takes almost 30 GB space, it has been running very stably.

This is the only reason why online wallets are better. You don't have to carry any weight. I'm pretty sure it would be smaller if laxo didn't bloat it.

If you check the "most popular addresses" list on blockchain.info https://blockchain.info/popular-addresses, you will notice laxo haven't done much when compared with those on-chain gambling sites.

I am using blockchain from 1 year. I don't have any problems with it. Majority bitcoiners are using it from long time.

If you trust anything but an Armory offline cold storage wallet, your coins are not secure.

I figured the best online wallets were Greenaddress and Coinkite. They both are HD wallets with added security. Most of them store majority of their funds in cold storage and also provide multi-signature support for added security.
I also prefer Blockchain.info for its ease of use. You can also ensure Blockchain is pretty secure by ensuring the following is taken care of :
Setup 2FA, make sure you delete all wallet backups from your email, setup 2FA on your email and keep the wallet backup elsewhere on another device or somewhere safer and encrypted. On blockchain.info account settings make sure to disable Automatic Email Backups if already enabled.
Set a second password under account settings, so that to send any bitcoins the user will have to enter the second password too. Make sure this one is really unique and strong. It's also better not to set any password hints. If the password hits were set before this would be emailed to you, make sure to delete that too.
You can also set 2FA to be send to your phone via SMS or Google Authenticator rather than the email associated with your account. Also go to debugging under account settings and set PBKDF2 Iterations to 10,000 to make it harder for anyone to brutforce your password. Also, disable TOR IP's if you're not using it. If you have a static IP and if you're 100% sure you will be always on that IP to access your wallet, you can set a whitelist to allow only logins through your static IP.
Were you using Teamviewer or any other software providing access to your PC? probably you'll want to revisit all those apps you have installed and make sure no one's accessing your PC using it.
Also change your blockchain short username to something unpredictable by others.

I recommend everyone with 5+ BTC to purchase a trezor device. You never know how much those coins are gonna be worth. you want to have an ultra secure device to store those things in case BTC goes $5K

The perfect/unhackable system doesn't exists. It will never exist. Online Wallets should only be used to save not more than just pocket money.

You should only keep a small amount in your hot wallet.
