Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

One issue with what was said.  Gold is not only valuable because people prize it, but it also has many uses.  Industrial, jewelry, etc

There are many reasons gold is valuable.  The reasons listed in the video are more important that those for jewelry uses or industrial uses.  Central banks don't hold gold because it makes nice jewelry.
