I'm not condemning anything. Just saying that risk, higher or lower there.
In the midst of this debate has not been possible to tell whether or not there hiding scheme.

When it started even I was tempted to give it a try, I'm glad I didn't. I don't want to support any scam. Since then a lot of more red flags appeared, tons of newbie accounts praising the service, waiting time getting longer, Satoshi Dice from the adresses...
Don't send them anything!
Could a mod please put a fair warning in the OP thread?

To be fair the last month or two has has quite been quite an online explosion of Bitcoin in my opinion, the prices flying between £40-£120 ignited a lot of attention and more and more people are jumping on the bandwagon, and the more interest, the more valuable a btc will be right? so It's all good in my opinion.. just wish I had more lol.. Also the forum's rules only allow you to post in this section until you are no longer a newbie so, obviously a lot of attention goes to the threads posted in this section! - Keep safe, don't GAMBLE unless you are prepared for the RISK but personally MU seems legit on this end!

No, it doesn't. And it would be stupid if it does. We as older members shoiuld help newbies not to fall in any of the traps, because Bitcoin is something new and there is a minefield full of traps to step into. You can have your "blind faith" in whatever you want, but I certainly don't and will not encourage it.

t's not really a scam when they have the proof of payouts system? - Admittedly they take longer than stated to deliver but I believe they do.

I wish there was a way to highlight the name. Blind faith. Ha! Shill/Troll/fake account created by MU--either way, I'm entertained

Of course they are different things. I said that. Used just one example, for a risk you run.
Of course if the site simply close. All the investment that was made is lost. And he gets the win.
And a risk involved in all investment sites BitCoin. May close suddenly investiou and who stands to lose.
Some sites may have a way to deal more credible than others, presenting a risk shorter. But the risk is there.
The point I want to highlight and that there is risk in any investment.
The big difference is that SD states on their site "THIS IS GAMBLING. YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR MONEY". No one can be upset about that. In fact most of us respect SD for their work and how well it's paying off (in a fair, legal, open way). MU has a good chance of harming the bitcoin community as a whole. New users who aren't aware of the amount of scammers/new users who aren't net saavy/the media could get sucked in, and when everyone gets burned there will be tons of stories of "oh look, another upright bitcoin institution has imploded. This bitcoin stuff is worthless, I'll never trust it again." We, the community, appreciate people who have creative ideas and execute them well. We have absolutely no respect for people who devise schemes to steal money from uninformed newcomers. If the website were to put a big fat disclaimer on their site saying "this is a risk, there is a large chance you will lose everything", then people get what they ask for and I would have no problems with it.

Last I checked bitcoin is still a VIRTUAL-currency am I right? How do you get in legal trouble trading things that aren't even real money? If that's ignorant then please enlighten this newbie You may have paid real money for bitcoins but that doesn't magically make bitcoin become real money all of a sudden. And no I'm not trying to be sarcastic...I'm asking an honest question.

As I said ... I am not defending anyone! Just think all the points must be raised, in order to reach conclusions. I spoke SD, with all due respect, how could address the other. Was only to refer to the investment risk. This should all be aware. OFFTOPIC: We, the community, appreciate people who have creative ideas and execute them well. keatonatron... Did I have an idea, which I think is good for the community. But I have no mining capacity to put into practice. If you have an open mind to be able to expose you for MP.

If that's ignorant then please enlighten this newbie You may have paid real money for bitcoins but that doesn't magically make bitcoin become real money all of a sudden. And no I'm not trying to be sarcastic...I'm asking an honest question. Coins can be immediately sold for real money--that means they have value. I'm pretty sure any lawyer would agree with the argument of "I paid money for this virtual item. I can sell it again for real money, immediately, via various websites. This item was taken from me, against my will, which is theft." But you're right, trying to pursue legal action against MU is (for now) a pretty much impossible endeavor. That's why creating this thread is about all we can do It being a virtual currency makes things a bit harder, legally, but I don't think it makes it have no value. What about someone who steals a gift cards that can be used for a certain amount of money at a specific store, but have "no cash value" thenselves?

The "Satoshi Dice" issue has already been addressed, we are not trying to hide anything. Scroll back in the thread to see our post regarding this. It was even stated in this thread by some users they wanted their payouts to go to "SD". This thread is going in circles and everything could be argued to infinite. Last I checked bitcoin is still a VIRTUAL-currency am I right? How do you get in legal trouble trading things that aren't even real money? There is very serious legal trouble, which is why we have some of the best lawyers. We have to comply with government regulations, AML laws, etc.

You can take em right now and exchange them for that much. And the price has been pretty steady recently around that price, so a scammer is not just taking monopoly money. If you scam 1k bitcoins, you can get more than $100,000 for them, not an inconsiderable amount.
