But if the idea is to collect as many money as possible at the same time, what is the purpose of imposing limits to accept requests?

Yeah, I agree with your point entirely, they still have potential to run away at any time with large amounts but for anyone who wanted to test a mini service from them I've been the guinea pig lets say lol. - I've seen people in their recorded payments send in multiple of the biggest package so there is some trust there.. I dunno though, I'm just happy not to have been scammed for now! Cheesy

& lol I know, in my head anti scam bump would mean to bump the subject and say they don't scam.

But if the idea is to collect as many money as possible at the same time, what is the purpose of imposing limits to accept requests?

Either too seem more genuine or it's real and they're trying to give others a chance rather than x amount of people just 'milk' their service?

I dunno it's strange, most people i've read of that claim to have been scammed have either not updated the latest or they did eventually get payment (later than advertised)..

I think yours is still mining or processing at some stage.

http://www.miningunited.com/pdata/p17.html

Mine showed up on there too when it was in process... ?

Most ponzi schemes do this.  Trendon Shavers TFB(tm) did.  It is a way to get more money in the long run.

Quote
Purchases over 6.00 BitCoin (of one payment) come with an additional +0.15 payout!
Trendon Shavers TFB(tm) also did this to get more "big fish".

Sending 3 BTC at one time makes you a "bigger fish".  By the time Trendon Shavers TFB(tm) ran the biggest fish had 10,000 or more BTC with him.  This guy is small time, but still a scam.  He will try to scale up as much as possible within the contraints of his system.

I dunno it's strange, most people i've read of that claim to have been scammed have either not updated the latest or they did eventually get payment (later than advertised)..
Trendon Shavers TFB(tm) also did this, right up until the point at which he took it all.

Just read the full story of what happened with "BitCoin Savings & Trust". Wow. Completely understand why there are such strong emotions. We have no relation to "Trendon Shavers or any related websites or services.
Mining United may not be Trendon but they sure learned a lot from his playbook.

One question:

How can hash it takes to generate 1BTC in 24 hours? (Average)

To understand how far the interest rate is high and there is a potential scam.

All you NEWBS will get scammed, and need too, it's the only way you retards can learn - obviously you don't listen.

Placed a pretty big order 30+ BTC, I will immediately post the results which should help people conclude if this is a scam or not.

So far I am leaning in the direction of ponzi scheme, but if they pay me it's going to be hard for me to argue that. I would advise people to wait until they hear back from me before making any big deposits.

Either you are crazy, hoping you get paid because you are saying it in pucblic or part of miningunited.
Why would you risk over $3000 for this?

I have a much larger stack of coins so this is purely a gamble for me. If they come through I'll feel comfortable giving them more of that stack. I bought in cheap back when it was $7.2. I do NOT work for miningunited, if I did, why would I say I'm leaning towards it being a ponzi scheme?

Someone has to be a guinea pig, imagine if everyone called Avalon a scam? I'm not going to defend miningunited until they come through with the payment (which isn't due for another few days), but if they do, I'm going to let everyone know they paid me. If not, you can be rest assured it's a scam or a ponzi scheme.

That's not how ponzi schemes work, if you publically say that you are gonna test it (and even want to give more if it works) they will be glad to throw money at you for your free advertisment and possible next coins just to be able to scam even more after that.

If we want to test it, we have to give them less.
When it's no ponzi they shouldn't have any problems paying back, because they could run the mining for themselves.
If it's a ponzi they can only rely on SatoshiDice luck to be able to pay.

Sure it would still be a possibility even if they paid me. BUT, if they're totally fulfilling the terms of the agreement, I don't see that as a scam. Seems to be a lot of people on the fence about this and plenty of people already 100% confident it's a scam. The point of my post was to state my stake and promising to report back.

If he pays me exactly what the agreement was, how can I say "see what a scam that was"?

The whole reason I posted is because there are a lot of people unsure about this guy. So I put my coins where my mouth was and decided to find out. If it works out, great, I'll be doing more business with him, if not, scam and you guys can all say 'I told you so'.

What I would advise gamblers like me to do is to wait for my results before putting any large amounts into them.
