Good day, what do you mine with Baikal and/or Panda? ETH ZCASH?

I'm kinda new to ALT (I mine BTC). Have 3 ALT rigs.  Zcash (4x R9 270s, 1x R9 280) Eth (4 x RX 480)

What is the best $ vs MH/s?

Should I stay with building rigs? Or is there something better out there?

(I have cheap electricity and space)

Thanks

okay the pandaminer  is best  for tight spots and is out of stock.

you have skills and can build rigs.  if you get your rig parts on a sale   they may be good.

I am anti asic  for alt coins.  the Baikal  could sell at 1000 and the builder could turn a profit. so you could face a loss if the builder decides selling lots of them is his best move.

I lost a lot with LTC and gridseeds  s the market was flooded with them priced dropped from 3000 to 300 on a blade in under 7 months and the ltc dropped from 35 to 6 bucks.  it is not under 4 bucks.

Also if you are there are sellers of used gpu rigs.  I have sold lots of them. Every spring as my power changes from 9.5 to 19 cents for the summer.

What works best for me... mix it  Wink

I´m running rigs AND asics... was running fpga´s back in the days too...

If one of them turns out to be bad a bad choice (like phil said.. gridseeds  Undecided ) you still have different stuff that brings some profit in to cover the cost ..

Same thing for coins.. I hold lots of them.. but not just one or two different ones

Since everyone will advice you from their own experience I'll tell you what worked for me best, rigs. You can always change/replace and sell parts, for lesser value but still it's something.
For managing I think asics are better, way better than rigs..

Stick with rigs and have fun building them.

Electricity and space is not a problem for you so compact solutions are not a worry.

Screw asic, people have been burnt on those investments in the past.  They can go obsolete and lose nearly all value over night.

Gpu rigs will always have value reselling on ebay etc to gamers or who ever wants a gpu (+ computer components) and there are people with all budget sizes to buy up your cards.  So that will be a safe investment with minimal amount of risk, biggest gain when you upgrade hardware.  If mining gets completely flushed down the toilet then you would be fairly safe and still net a gain.

In general I think Baikal should be one of few ASICs if one will decide to build the mining operations. It is multi-algo, absolutely reliable build (not Antminer R4!) and very good reselling capacity.

what CPU coins do you mine,if I may ask?
and what is the ROI on your CPUs? I see all of them are under 100$ so it should be a good investment (and you can sell them later, too)
there are pre-orders available for the newewst 8 core AMD Ryzen CPUs,they are going to be a breakthrough in speed/power efficiency ratio
and also going to be at least 2 times cheaper than Intel's CPUs
read more about it here: http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/amd-ryzen-specs-performance-release-date
this could be a good reason to consider AMD mobos and CPUs for your rigs

I am anti asic  for alt coins.  the Baikal  could sell at 1000 and the builder could turn a profit. so you could face a loss if the builder decides selling lots of them is his best move.

In general I think Baikal should be one of few ASICs if one will decide to build the mining operations. It is multi-algo, absolutely reliable build (not Antminer R4!) and very good reselling capacity.

baikal units are not like normal asics, multi asic is yum AF

the only thing worth mining with them is x11 though they cant do eth or blake or pascal etc or even zec

quark and qubit are algood too
