It may be that ounce.me shows a slightly higher price than preev.com and others, but I use ounce.me as they also show gold and other precious metals prices.

if you want accurate (meaning the exchange price) then check the exchange or sites that report it live from exchange.

it is 1211.1 at bitfinex right now.

preev gets it directly from exchanges and more importantly is the update rate. it updates every couple of seconds. but most other places update it with longer intervals and on a fast rising price like this you get things later.
and also some of them report average price. so ounce.me is either late on updating or is reporting average.

Been hesitating to sell my coins since the rise to $700 and I'm glad I haven't sold them and here we are right now. ATH is inevitable, though it wouldn't stop there.

I hope this is not a psychological barrier for investors, but rather a break out point where we will see record high prices for the coming months. Once people see that we can go past the gold price, they will start talking about this technology that are more valuable than gold.

Let's hope the SEC see the same value in this and approve the damn ETF, so that we can fly!

Congrats on having faith in bitcoin and holding it for a longer time so that you could reap the profits .The price is really moving up and what is the expected resistance level in this bull run ,is it advisable to purchase coins at this price and how long can we expect this bull run.

Yes it already break the $1200 dollar mark and still increasing. This is a good news to bitcoin holder and I think it surpassed its record. It is hitting more than its all time high which is previous high of $1,163 last November 29, 2013. truly, bright future ahead for bitcoin.

That's really big. Every user of bitcoin feels a panic in the inner mind, whether the price sustains or should we go for further as an investment or for trading purpose. Somehow reaching $1200 gives every user the profit, even if its sold now. Bitcoin is always surprising us with it's price movement and for real now it's on $1,200 and I believe that it will keep on increasing.

I would advise you to always use Preev, as their rates are always perfect. Secondly most of the trades here are done on the basis of preev rates only. So stick with preev rates, as it will be more helpful. Now coming to the price 1200$+ it's just amazing to see this run of Bitcoins. Last year it touched 1000$ plus and we all were like it will cross 1500$ this year. And it's already 1200$+ and with global uncertainty growing and growing thanks to trump policies and brexit looming. I feel 1500$ should be a reality soon, let's hope very soon.

Bitfinex just showed me that the price is $1211. I have been waiting from the morning (where I live) all the way until now, hoping and praying that the price would go over $1250, which is around the price that it crashed the last time. Still have to wait a bit longer for it to reach 1250, but hopefully it will soon, but most importantly, I hope that it doesn't crash. This has been such a great year for Bitcoin and it would be great if it could stay that way.

There's still room for another $100-$300 rise, etf decision is to be taken on 11th march. if approved as you said sky is the limit else the price goes down.

See it is completely common in trading history, every time it won't goes up and up and in some cases it may fall down. But this growth will help to people who still don't believe bitcoin. Really i am waiting for this price to make fortune in bitcoin history.

Yeah every exchanger does have a price difference. Just choose which what you're looking.
I never thought this is will become a matter because when I wanted to know the price of bitcoin, just change the BTC conversion to dollars in my wallet blockchain.info. And now touched $ 1,205 in blockchain.info

it's above $1200 already, but i remember the peak of 2013 higher than this, like around $1260-80? i could be wrong though

this time the dump can't be under $1k anymore, the next dump should be between $1200 and 1500, this make $1000 the new bottom

Even if it gets rejected and I believe it WILL get rejected, I think they price might stay up.

Dont forget all these news attract new people into crypto and that s the whole point. Still I do not think these kind of funds will be available for at least one more year due to regulation issues.
