this is a bitcoin address that you sent your bitcoins to. It's most probably an address to which you don't have a private key. so you lost your 120 bitcoins...

Bolding because everyone seems to be ignoring me

BTC-e has the private key to that address. They just need to type dumpprivkey on their terracoind.

+1

TRC and BTC share the same address's so a TRC Priv Key can be used to generate the same BTC address. Get that TRC Priv Key from btc-e as TradeFortress has said, and you'll be fine. Or, get them to just sweep that address and credit the 120 BTC to you btc-e account!

+1

THIS!

If they don't credit those bitcoins for you, there might be 2 reasons:
1. They don't understand the situation described above (namely, if they have the privkey for the TRC address, they also have the privkey for the corresponding BTC address).
2. They don't want to help you, they'd rather steal that BTC.

Just send them another ticket/request pointing them to this forum thread.
If they still don't help, ask again harder.
If they still don't help, it can be deduced that they aren't acting in good belief.
Then speak up, file a scam report on the forum, ruin their reputation.
Then we'll add another exchange site to our avoid list.

@MegaBrutal and others, thanks for the replies,

No word yet, I hear they are pretty bad at responding. Last time I sent them an email I never got a reply for a couple of days.

I've had a reply from a Terracoin developer explaining the exact process to return my Bitcoins

1. export TRC private key, associated to the destination TRC address used.

2. using their bitcoin wallet, import that private key ("importprivkey"
rpc command) to create the bitcoin address matching the one you sent
bitcoins to.

3. ensure they received the indicated amount (you should provide btc-e
the transaction id seen on your local bitcoin wallet for easier checks &
processing).

4. when fully checked, fund your btc accound with the transaction amount.

Seems fairly simple.

Just a good idea to topic starter.

Create a new topic and ask people to send a message to BTC-E on your behalf. More messages they receive, more attention it will lock, more likely they will do what you ask.

Prepare a short but correct to-do what BTC-E should do to recover your funds.

Promise 30% of your recovered funds (once recovered) shared between every person who tried to help you. This help can be a daily message to BTC-E or creating attention around the web or social.

This will work for sure.

I wish you the best of luck in this!
120BTC - you'd think they'd understand that you are not 'new' to the game...

Try writing them a very clear, professional, polite letter explaining the situation and asking if they could go into their terracoind and dump the private key of the address that matches your btc address that you sent to.

They get a lot of nasty and poorly written emails so I suspect they immediately ignore something like this that isn't actually their fault. While it's 'easy' to get the private key, perhaps they don't feel like taking the effort to double check that your story is true.

Write them again, and keep writing them, politely. Hopefully they will eventually help you.
