I picked the Intel i7 7700K - great processors for a good price. The extreme editions are just way over priced for little performance gain. I would never waste my money on one of this or an AMD piece of shit.

I have always been an Intel boy. I like AMD's GPUs but their processors are lacking imo. I also find that they run hotter than their intel counterparts.

as of now I go for Intel as they are still dominating the industry but hoping AMD will catch up so that we consumer will benefit because of the competition they are having.

my choise amd for gaming intel for working

AFAIK the benchmarks have proven AMD Ryzen is not better in gaming, yet is excellent with productivity, as seen in the general reviews. anyway, it is just a few of my satoshi.

out of ability to use the signature, i want a new ban strike policy that will fade the strike after 90~120 days of the ban and not to be traced back, like google | email me for anything urgent, message will possibly not be instantly responded

I am about to upgrade my pc, and I do not know which one to choose. Between 1800X or 770k which is better for games?

Well, it really depends on a few factors:

  • What graphics card you have.
  • What resolution you game in.
  • What game(s) you play.

If you have a low end graphics card then it really won't matter which CPU you choose because the GPU will be the bottleneck in your system.

If you have a mid/high end GPU then the resolution you game at becomes more of a determining factor. Generally speaking, currently the 7700K is better at 1080p or lower resolutions, but there are certain games that the 1800X outperforms the 7700K at in 1080p, so the actual game(s) you want to play then become more of a deciding factor; I'd suggest you look at reviews of both CPUs on the specific games you play.

Once the resolution goes above 1080p the gaming performance of both the 7700K and 1800X is more or less equal, although the 7700K does pull ahead by a slight margin if you average out FPS across game titles.

Now, if your intention is to only play games then the 1800X is not the right Ryzen to even be considering, wait a couple of weeks for the Ryzen 5 series to launch and then look at the reviews for the 1600X and 1500X to see how these compare to the 7700K.

This link is a good read to help get a better understanding of the effect of the GPU in certain games with multiple CPU examples, including simulated Ryzen 5 results:

AMD is very good in gaming but it fast to heat up so you must have a good cooling system if you using AMD.
Unlike Intel its good in multi tasking and gaming also and dont need a expensive cooling system.

I feel that there are still uses for both processors in the future. Intel would still dominate in the laptop market as they have low power consumption but decent performance while AMD would be targeting the beginner content creator, streamer and gamers with their low cost with high core count. Intel would still dominate in high framerate gaming and professional/high end youtube video creators.
hope many will support AMD so that the competition still available and much better if there is some company to rise so that we can have good competition and price its a win-win situation for us consumers.
Competition is always good for us consumers. I'm pretty sure many of us were expecting a price drop on some of the Intel processors but I guess that was not true. I think they know that they are still better in certain scenarios like gaming performance.

I've always went for Intel for some reason and recently I finally managed to obtain n i7 7700K and I must say I'm pretty pleased. Doubt you can go wrong with AMD either. We're past the years when gaming was CPU demanding. I only took the more pricey option cause i already had a good GPU.

I wouldn't go with Intel or AMD for my new computer, because i am tired of that "security" features they invent from year to year. Just take a look what Intel Management Engine or Platform Security Processor can do while your computer is powered off and get scared of how your system is backdoored.
