I like it! how many insects did you end up slaughtering?

no insects at all, it seems they stay away from it
(in fact, my area is not insect intensive, mainly flies?)

you could also try to protect from insect by adding the metal netting from bottom
(that material is not really affecting cooling)

My rig is a 24/7 outdoor rig and I have not had any negative experiences with bugs. I assume the fans keep the bugs from crawling into the heat sinks. The rest is very hard to short because of the resistance of the bugs body.

Aries....Well you aren't eligible for the contest Smiley  I'll keep your advertisement on the thread, because it is a very nice rig.  Although I advise people to visite my site if they need help, and to build their own rigs, which is kinda the point of this thread too.

It's not a very unique rig though...Kind of asinine for him to derail the thread with something we've seen 100x over.

Seriously, there is only so many ways you can cram 6+ gpu's into a 4U case...if their model was so great or special he wouldn't be advertising here.

The real problem though, is that he wants $2500 for $1600 worth of last gen gear. What a dick.

Edit: lol I mean 2900-3300 for 1600 worth of gear.

Lets break it down.

Used 4u case: $50/FREE
mobo/cpu/ram combo $60
PSU: $140
8 risers: $50
ethos ssd $40 or a $10 usb.
8x RX 470 $1600

dang just built his rig for less than 2k..

I think you should dangle everything directly from the ceiling.

the purpose of wall mounting boards and PSUs was to save space, having easy access for troubleshooting, push-pull config.

also notice there is a fan in the right side...on the left side a fan serves as an exhaust out of the window(not in the pic)...it is a push-pull config...

dangling from the ceiling is not easy to access, walls are sturdier, and you will have lighting issues.

save space, half of the room is where i dry clothes and a desktop PC(also a miner) for remote management...and the horizontal alignment for blowing heat out of the windows (push-pull). racks don't provide long horizontal alignment to the window and saving a few bucks from buying racks

planning to build a swamp cooler in the other half of the room too.
