1. The code on github is Ethereum code with a few name changes. Why hasn't this been updated?A. In a since I do agree the version we have today is a fork of ethereum homestead with some tweaks: the innovation and value we have is the middleware (APIs, SDK) and application layer (Studio, Palmex, Thuraya) but this will change in the future (if you check the roadmap you will find that we work also in a permissioned blockchain solution and some of the features will be added to the public blockchain also).
2. I understand what they are trying to do. My question is why has there been zero commits for so long?A. Sadly we still don't have developers from the community willing to help which means that all development is done today in house (yes we do have a private SVN server)
3. What is your expection of DBIX among all other coins and if you compare the market coins what coin is a challenge technically to compare with?A. What we are trying to do is creating an ecosystem for startups, companies and governments which include all the tools and solutions from data to application layers (to be honest we still have a lot of work to do but I think we are doing fine since we started 1 year ago), the projects I like to compare as with are:
- ethereum (I know we are a fork of ethereum but as I said we do innovate more in middleware and app layers for now)
- hyperledger fabric (We recently started working on a private permissioned modular version of our blockhcain and the main goal of doing this is to give companies better performance and easier infrastructure management, the project is just started and we won't update the github account until we have tested those changes locally so it may take some time before you see changes in github)
4. Is there anything to be expected with regards to a whitepaper?A. I personally wrote a first draft months ago but it has to be updated and translated. This will be done in due course
5. How did the team feel about the Unlock Blockchain event that occurred recently? Were there many connections made that you will share? Also, are you working directly with the Dubai government?A. I was in that event and I can ensure you a lot of investors and entrepreneurs were interested and we had meetings with a lot of them, concerning government we had a bunch of meetings with some government entities (Dubai Land Department, Smart Dubai, Sharjah government...) and they show great interest but we still did not sign any deals yet
6. What is the benefit/advantages of DBIX on Palm Exchange?A. Some quick points on that, all future listing, advertising, services and maintenance for coins/tokens on palmex will be settled in DBIX. DBIX trading pairs will have lower fees compared to other markets such as BTC pairs.
