It is important to realize that today there is no problem with NICEHASH having more power than most small networks.
So the only defense is just a certain number of blocks for verification.
If the exchange sets up a small number of blocks, it creates a dangerous situation itself and it can not influence any team.
It's the same as a bad lock on the door of a house or a car, if you give someone a chance to steal something, it just steals them .. what they're amazed about.
If you look at Bitrex and at UBQ how many confirmation blocks there are, I think I know why it is :-) It makes people so angry that they have to wait but it's safer.
Previously, I wondered how it was possible for someone to buy DBIX on one exchange (Cryptopia), so they were quickly sold to Livecoin, someone noticed it and got an idea.
We are in a world where there are people who are always looking for weak spots to spend a lot of money.
I will not evaluate the team or Livecoin as they have done so, everyone has to re-evaluate it himself.
Still, the emphasis is on replacing the coin, the safe storage is only in your own wallet (that is, if you care about the security of your own PC).
If the exchange says I freeze my wallet, it's hard to do something.
