Hi,

I am new to the bitcoin system, i have sent bitcoins 5 days ago and the order is still unconfirmed:

https://blockchain.info/tx/dfc41f646a3b1c2aa90bac2f89c80cac89edca869bd683f48105ec736cf3536b

I used Electrum and the default dynamic fee but i got a "Low fee" logo next to my transaction:
http://hpics.li/a6a0c1f

I would like to re-send it with more fee but i have several questions:
- I thought that dynamic fee would calculate the appropriate fee, then why do i have the message "low fee" ?
- I didn't enabled the "enable replace-by-fee" before sending the bitcoin, so if i understand well i had to enable it before sending the money right ? Now it's too late ?
- I wanted to have a look on viabtc accelerator but it seems to be out of order: https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/
- Right now i see there is more than 60k unconfirmed transactions (https://blockchain.info/fr/unconfirmed-transactions), what's the usual number ?
- When will the network forget my transaction, how long can it last ?
- Does someone have any tips for me ?

Thank you
lovejah

I have the same problem with 4 transactions.

First one was sent n February 27 with regular fee. Last 2 transactions i've sent on March 2 and used dynamic fees. In fact i was warned - that my fees seems a bit HIGH.

But i havemt received any of those transaction and i have got 0 confirmations.

Any ideas why and how can i avoid this in the future?

Thx

According to "Received Time", you sent it 2 days ago (not 5 days ago).

- I thought that dynamic fee would calculate the appropriate fee, then why do i have the message "low fee" ?
Most likely you forgot to bring the slider to the most right side (even if you've checked the use dynamic fee option) and as result, ended up with "low fee" status.

- I wanted to have a look on viabtc accelerator but it seems to be out of order: https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/
It's not out of order but rather limited to maximum of 100 transactions per hour. Just keep trying it.

- Right now i see there is more than 60k unconfirmed transactions (https://blockchain.info/fr/unconfirmed-transactions), what's the usual number ?
Actually it goes up and down throughout the day but before the recent incidents (massive unconfirmed transactions going beyond 100k), it usually was on an average from 30k to 60k range at most.

- When will the network forget my transaction, how long can it last ?
Around 72 hrs.

- Does someone have any tips for me ?

Hello SFR10, thank you for your reply!

"According to "Received Time", you sent it 2 days ago (not 5 days ago)."
-> I sent the money indeed 5 days ago (not 2), two days ago i got an error message an blockchain saying "Transaction rejected by our node. Reason: Transaction was previously accepted but has been purned from our database". But apparently the transacation is back active (even if i haven't done anything) How come the transaction has been purned ?  Is it normal ? And how come my transaction appears to be back active ?

"Most likely you forgot to bring the slider to the most right side (even if you've checked the use dynamic fee option) and as result, ended up with "low fee" status."
-> Ok thanks for the info, but it's strange because all the bitcoin i sent before i never had this problem

"It's not out of order but rather limited to maximum of 100 transactions per hour. Just keep trying it."
-> Ok i guess everybody is trying to access this site, its gonna be hard

"- When will the network forget my transaction, how long can it last ?"
Around 72 hrs.
-> Ok, i sent the money the 28 february so its been around 96hours and it still not confirmed :/

I just successfully submitted it for you, so it should be confirmed soon (in the next block that ViaBTC mines).

The required fee for a fast confirmation in the bitcoin network has went upwards quite a bit in the last week. I suggest using bitcoinfees.21.co in the future to see how much of a fee you should pay for a fast confirmation in the future.

Kano stated he doesn't do that for people, a while ago. Do you know for sure that he started doing it?

taking a break - expect delayed responses

No kano still doesn't take requests to include transactions in a block.

The quote below explains how mocacinno suggested kano might offer that service, but he was wrong.

I mistakenly advised someone to ask kano for that service recently, and kano confirmed he doesn't do it.

However Quickseller does take requests to include transactions in a block.

If your transaction has a fee below the minimum 0.0001BTC/KB fee the ViaBTC accelerator requires you can send a pm to either kano or macbook-air. Both of them have access to big mining pools.

wel i have the same problem i send message to both, this is the message i got from kano "No idea where you read it, but I didn't say that."

so i dont know why u say that ?

Sorry for my mistake, mocacinno suggested contacting kano together with quickseller or macbook-air, so I assumed kano sometimes helped confirm stuck transactions.

A last option would be to contact quickseller or macbook-air or kano on  this forum and offer a reward if one of them includes your tx'es in a block they're currently solving.
