Is there maybe a criterion for which I have to look for when I want to buy myself a new mainboard or is there a list of the mainboards supporting the PCI riser? :-)

look for one with multiple x16 pci-e lanes, do you have the latest bios version?

Yes I have the latest version of my BIOS.

But I think my problem isn´t the driver of the GPU because I already have it and I don´t even get a signal of my first GPU when I have connected the Riser without/with a gpu. As soon as I have connected my pci riser I only get a signal out of my onboard gpu, but the fans of my gpus are spinning.

I am using the Asus B85M-E motherboard.

If I disconnect the molex power supply to the Riser I still have the problem and the fans on the second gpu in the riser stop spinning, of course.

Try pouring water on it and buying a different board?

Same problem here...

Old motherboard...latest bios update 2007, lenovo board.
Has one PCIE-X16 and one PCIE-X1
Card in pcie-x16 directly, works fine.
Card in pcie-x1 works fine
WHEN THEY ARE PUT IN APART ( second slot is blocked by first slot. )
When I put them both in risers... the card, connected to riser onto the pcie-x16 isn't simply found.
VGA is connected onboard.
Also tried with several miners...same problem.

Does a work around exist for it ?   Going to try with a pcie X1  splitter too, and see whap happens.
It's no psu problem...psu is now seeing a load of 20% of rated output.
