Here's the closest possible "Lucifer" prefix in a bech32 (native segwit) address: (the letter i is not allowed)

Odd, I can't seem to get it working either. Bitaddress doesn't technically support Segwit vanity addresses, which might be the reason. I'll try to figure it out and get back to you.

BitCryptex got it working without any issues (that I'm aware of).

I just double checked what they did and it seems that they didn't use bitaddress.org to generate a vanity specific keypair, but rather a normal Bitcoin address (which is what VanitySearch seems to require). I believe they used BitAddress.org to generate a Bitcoin address, took the private key of the compressed address (ex L1PAb94SSTek9pfF58tpDbYNeaY5r7MYKcTKFfAQYWG2Cue7f671), went into "Wallet Details" and grabbed the key under "Public Key (compressed, 66 characters [0-9A-F])". Through this method, I was able to get it working:


My guess is that BitAddress.org's Vanity setup generates an uncompressed keypair, while Segwit requires compressed keypairs. I'll write a more detailed and easy to follow guide on how to do this in a bit.

Ah, okay. Here is how you can generate a keypair using Bitaddress.org for vanity segwit addresses:

1. Using Bitaddress.org, generate a private key:


2. Copy over the private key into the "Wallet Details" tab and click "View Details". You should see a public key, which is what you would give me (or anyone wanting to generate a split key vanity address for you:


3. Save the private key, and give the public key to whoever is generating an address for you.

4. Once you get the Part Private Key for the vanity address, go to the "Vanity Wallet" tab and paste the private key you saved earlier as "Your Part Private Key", and the partial private key that you get in the "Pool Part Private Key" box.

5. Make sure that "Add" is selected and click "Calculate Vanity Wallet".

6. If the vanity address begins with bc1q, import the private key that is calculated with "p2wpkh:" as a prefix. If the vanity address begins with 3, import the key with "p2wpkh-p2sh:". If the address generated was bc1qtestn2046gt64ca47vyac8hqxuu2r3h9jn3wp8 and the private key was L33ngSEuwEqtUn5em4VZZmDFpoVHktrxLDDokSS7pUV8eUntckAA, you would import:

Btw, I have a doubt in the steps mentioned above. By "Your part private key" are you mentioning the Pvt key I inserted in "Wallet Details" to generate Pub Key or Private Key Hexadecimal Format (64 characters [0-9A-F]) or Private Key Base64 (44 characters).
