I don't make vanity SegWit addresses (DarkStar_ does). In Electrum, you'll need to create a new wallet to import addresses, so either one should work.

I haven't used Electrum recently, so it doesn't matter if I install a new wallet to import addresses. Most users are heading to the segwit address because of the transaction fee, I think it's time to change my bitcoin address. And when you bump this topic, I have found the opportunity with an appropriate address 
So now I need to wait for confirmation of DaskStar_  , right?

Electrum is fine. For some reason, I can't get these steps to consistently work for Segwit vanity generation (it worked in a test I did, but didn't work when I tried to do it for others). We can give it a shot I guess, give me a prefix.

Read step 6 of the Segwit vanity specific instructions I provided. Bitaddress automatically assumes a legacy uncompressed address I believe.

Edit: Just realized that neither of you provided a compressed public key, so I don't think any of the addresses generated will work. I'd be happy to try again if you provide me with a compressed public key.

No worries. Actually, I don't think this will work using Bitaddress.org at all. I believe VanitySearch uses a different method of creating the private key (?) from the parts than Bitaddress, so it's not possible to reassemble the key without having people download VanitySearch, which I want to avoid.

Just tested it again (not sure how I got it working the first time) with this partial private key set:

Yeah I have no idea. You could try using VanitySearch to find it yourself, or use VanitySearch to reassemble the address:

When I construct the key using bitaddress vanity I get another address in Electrum
