Would anyone be interested in a site where you can sign up as an artist (free of course) and submit original art.

My company can convert your art to various print products from shirts to mugs, pens, framed art, etc.

We would sell our products at a store we run and 10% of all sales would be used to buy mining contracts that pay an equal dividend to all artists based on their number of approved store listings.

Thoughts?

I am more trustable than you.  Those cbags who trolled me can get bent.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Ever heard of Deviantart? You're some seventeen years late. Its only a matter of time until DA introduces Bitcoin as a form of payment.

Buy mining contracts?Do you mean Cloud mining?Don`t do this, you will get scammed.
All the artists and designers who want to print their designs on products and sell them can use Teespring or Zazzle.
You will have to invest a lot to beat the competition of the big players like those companies.
Good luck.

For starters, 10% is way lower than a fair percentage, 40% should be the least for these kinds of sales. Payments shouldn't be in a indirect manner (mining contract earnings being divided and then paying the artist) but instead it should be directed at artists (in bitcoin) on a regular manner.
What measurements would be taken to ensure the artists of fair earnings? Would there be a transparency in terms of each sales for each artist?

I think my idea is broader than the replies.

I envisioned a self-serve / anyone can register and submit original art so long as it has commercial re-use license.

Our system will auto create art_collections->authors->Art_Title->item (mugs, skins, shirts, etc).

When a sale is made, we invest profits and pay kickbacks based on involvement.

Needs to be scalable and reliable

It's definitely an idea although there are similar sites that already exist.
The only issue with it being a self-serve site is how will you be able to ensure that all artworks that are published are otingonal? I assume that you'd be targeting new artists, but how'd you ensure that the paintings in question are really their work?

Yeah, Devian Art is the preceedor of this type of start up. But the usage of bitcoin REALLY MATTERS thats why I think I'll try to contact your company as soon as I get an idea of the art I can do Cheesy Actually social networks lack this type projects. Many communities on FB and many Instagram accounts strongly need it
